The menu offered a nice selection of entrees..some light fare and others more filling. The view of the lake was very pretty.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went before a Tilles CenterWe went before a Tilles Center performance and were intially disappointed that the pre fixe dinners end at 5:30 on a Friday, but we stayed and the meal was superb. Every dish was perfectly cooked, and the seasonal strawberry shortcake with a scone instead of a biscuit was among the best we ever had. The wines by the glass were excellent and reasonably priced.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat lunch spotfood was excellent and the service just as good. went there for lunch
enjoyed a nice glass of wine with my date overlooking the lake and had a wonderful meal.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMI loved everything about Thyme.I loved everything about Thyme. I came for Sunday Brunch with my mom. They give you scones with cinnamon butter to start and they were amazing! I had the crab cake sandwich, and my mom had the Thyme Benedict. Neither of us had a single complaint. Everything was delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant was great, the staff was appropriately attentive (not too much that it was annoying). For $18 you get a choice of drink, and a meal, and the portions are large! Neither of us could finish our entire meal. I would absolutely come here again, and would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went during RestaurantWe went during Restaurant Week so it was very crowded. The food was excellent and the service was very good as well. However, the noise level was grating at times and we could not hear each other across the table. Would definitely return.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food. Tight seatingGreat food. Tight seating n very very noisy ....if u can get past the noise the food was awesome!5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMReviewI had been to Thyme last year with a bunch a friends and loved it! This year I suggested it for Restaurant Week to another group of friends, some of which are in the restaurant business. There were 10 of us and everyone was very very happy with their choice of appetizer, entree and dessert. The presentation was just beautiful. Some of the girls said they'd like to come back with their husbands as they loved the menu and location of the restaurant. I, too, was extremely pleased with my pick of restaurant for restaurant week with some really great friends!4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways great.I've been to Thyme a few times and I always love the food. I wouldn't say it's romantic due to the noise of the talking but its defitnly a great restaurant to go with family or friends. I go with my husband not for romance but for great food and the great service. I love the scenery of the lake outside its a great view. If you're looking for an upbeat place to eat this place will suit. If you're looking for a little romance don't go on the weekend it's busy and noisey. You may want to go during the week where it may be a little quiet. All in all I really enjoy it every time we have dinner there.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had their prix fixe earlyWe had their prix fixe early bird dinner which was an outstanding value. The food was beautifully prepared and served, and the quality was terrific. I would highly recommend this restaurant.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThe baked brie and butternutThe baked brie and butternut squash ravioli were perfect! Wonderful little place in Roslyn right between the clock tower and the pond.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Hostess went out of herThe Hostess went out of her way to accommodate us with a wonderful table. All of our dishes were delicious and so fresh!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMNice dining experience. GoodNice dining experience. Good food and good Price fixed menu.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMNice Place for a celebrationMy husband and I went to Thyme to celebrate a new job. The place is lovely and the staff is very attentive. The food was very good. The prices are on the expensive side. The restaurant was a bit warm but we noticed they were opening the doors to cool things down as we were leaving. It got a bit noisy as well.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMA Gem that SparklesSometimes the greatest treasures are squirreled away from public view, and in this case, Thyme is a neighborhood gem that sparkles unpretentiously in its own little corner of Roslyn. With outstanding food and the warmth of a caring staff, our meals there have always been memorable and scrumptious. Thyme has earned our gratitude and loyalty as a result.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was an awesome surprise. This was an awesome surprise. Food was fantastic- view was awesome- live music was outstanding- service was out of this world! Totally loved Thyme and will be returning!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMexceptional food and easy parkinglunch is always a treat a thyme overlooking the roslyn duck pond in the center of town.
free parking on the grounds makes it a joy to visit.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinnerThe food was delicious, as it has always been in the past. A regular top dining spot. I will make this a more regular place. The price is good and the food is great. Definitely worth the price.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was the second time we'veThis was the second time we've attended their Passover meal, and I'm sure that we'll be back again.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a Saturday eveningWe had a Saturday evening reservation at 7:45 and were seated promptly at a table overlooking the lake. The four of us enjoyed our dinners very much, but the duck salad appetizer was somewhat disappointing. This was balanced by a outstanding mussel appetizer. There was a singer on acoustic guitar, but impossible to hear him as noise level is very high.
We would definitely return but probably on a quieter evening.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMPre Fixe lunch specials arePre Fixe lunch specials are terrific. Dinner was great...singer on Saturday night was absolutely terrific!!!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways good food, sweet setting,Always good food, sweet setting, good service. One of my favorites in the neighborhood.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth the Drive! In searching for a midway restaurant between Suffolk and Westchester Counties, we met another couple here for a midweek dinner. Although we had trouble finding the restaurant, it was wonderful once we arrived. The atmosphere was exceptional, and the noise didn't increase until we were almost finished with our dinners. The menu was interesting and unique, and the four of us were quite pleased with our choices. The salads were outstanding, and a nice change from the usual fare. Three of us opted for the prix-fixed, and our meals were well worth the price; even the desserts included were top-notch. Now that we know where Thyme is located, we will definitely return, despite the distance!12/27/2012 12:00:00 AMAlways SolidThyme continues to rank at the top of my Long Island favorites mainly because of the consistency and quality of the food. Dishes are beautifully presented and the staff is exceptional. By the way, the Prime Rib special was amazing!11/24/2012 12:00:00 AM
