We enjoyed our lunch on Friday. The only problem we had was that we ate outdoors and had to keep shooing the bees away. It might be a good idea if the restaurant could either use spray before the lunch hour or perhaps some citronella candles during lunch to keep the bees away.

We've been dining at Thyme for many years now and always find it a culinary and comfortable experience. With a beautiful view of Roslyn lake and a varied menu with my favorite tuna or salmon over black rice and bok choy always on hand, we're never been disappointed. And their friendly and attentive staff insure a wonderful dining experience, no matter the occasion.

We come to Thyme for many special occasions. It's romantic on Valentines Day, great to eat outside for my son-in-law's Sept. birthday brunch, and they did a fabulous job for my daughter's baby shower. The food is delicious, the service is good and friendly, the place is charming as is its setting on the duck pond. Make time to visit Thyme!

I've driven past Thyme in Roslyn many times but never noticed it due to it's unorthodox location. I am so glad a friend recommended it though and will be back for sure. If you're looking for a great spot for a romantic or group dinner, It's a top notch Bistro style dining experience. Food is comparable to Wild Honey in Port Washington.

If you are in the area be sure to make time for Thyme - you won't be disappointed. We sat at the bar while waiting for our party to arrive and enjoyed the wonderful guitar and singing over a glass of wine which was a well poured glass of wine. Dinner was served inside although we could have sat on the patio overlooking the duck pond. Service was attentive, food was excellent and we will return when visiting the area.

We had a 8 people party on Saturday night and got kind of disappointed with the food compare with their Sunday brunch. The food was on the salty side and not tasted that great either. Even so, I will still recommend their Sunday brunch because it's very enjoyable.

The interior is pretty and inviting with added attraction of covered balcony dining and live music. They have Wednesday Burger Thyme which we tried and very good burgers. The waiter could have been more attentive with taking our order since it was a slow night because there was a mistake in mine but I just let it go. We will go back to try their main dishes which sounded good on the menu.

Three generations (grandma, mother and daughter) had to chance to enjoy a delicious Sunday dinner on the outside patio- at a wonderful placed corner table. Three course from prix fixe options were excellent and well sized portions. Desserts were amazing! Staff was respectful and attentive. Will definitely be back.

This is a very nice place for dinner or brunch. The owner makes you feel comfortable, the bar scene was alive and the rooms were full or nearly so. The outdoor porch area was delightful on a Saturday night. The waitress was warm and friendly and engaging. All good. The snag was the fish entree- red napper. This is a delicate fish and it was simply overcook or precooked. Someone wasn't watching and it changed a very good evening to mediocre. A restaurant with a Greek foundation should always know how to cook fish. When the dryness was mentioned no offer was made to replace or adjust. Yes i would go back to see if this was a aberration. It has a lot going for it but food prep is a key to any good experience

Place is clean and neat, and old house in Roslyn with a view of the pond. The decor is somewhat dated, ladder back chairs and a shiny old fashioned bar. Staff welcoming and neat, wait and bar staff in black. Drinks at the bar ok. Only one sparkling wine by the glass - only btls of French champagne which is a shame. Dined on a small patio above the parking lot - not stunning but if you look over the cars you do see the pond. Wait staff friendly and attentive. 1 dinner roll served with tongs and only a small ramekin of butter. - I expected a bread basket. Food was plentiful. Lobster bisque was overly creamy and was a thick wintery serving. Tuna tasty if somewhat heavily seasoned. Wine list modest, Arrogant Frog Pinot pleasing.

The food was great - unfortunately the ambience is not very cozy - too many waiters and buzz boys (with sour faces) squeezing between tables and almost knocking the fine food off your table. MeanWhile the guests are almost screaming at each other... A shame - I am sure the terrace is nice, though...

This restaurant had a great outdoor seating which was all taken up when we got there....I guess you have to ask for it when you are making the reservation. Overall, the food is better than anything else there. My husband and I usually order a bottle of wine but their wine list was not that great. The service was good and we would definitely go back....next time though, we will make sure to sit outside .

The front staff was so accommodating in finding a table with ample space for my crutches. The food was excellent. I am a vegan and my server was very helpful in ascertaining that anything I ordered was prepared according to my dietary observance. I only rated the food a four because my friend noted that her tuna steak was a bit dry. My sautéed spinach was perfectly prepared. It was no swimming in oil as so many other restaurants seve. The house special salad was delicious as was the portobello mushroom I ordered as my entree. I plan to done here more frequently.

I have dined at the Thyme many times and my wish is to get a window table once. The place is small and they have squeezed tables to its maximum capacity. not realizing or not wanting to realize how uncomfortable it is for the customers & staff. They serve the food on these gigantic ,heavy dished were you can barely fit one let alone 2 of them. Because of the lack of space the wait staff constantly bumps into your chair which it is very annoying. he last time I dined there which was this past long weekend, there was a private event in he downstairs dinning room, so we were seated upstairs we did not have a water view but we had a wonderful attentive waiter, the food was good and I actually enjoyed the experience till the last 10 minutes.)

Have been here before, so my nephew/wife were taking me out for my birthday. He let me choose the place. My lady friend thought this would be nice. The food was delicious as usual. I had the Salmon with salsa/tomato infusion. My lady friend had seered tuna with black grain, interesting. we had a portabello mushroom with balsamic reduction for an appetizer. My nephew and his wife had a 3 course prix fixe dinner. They said it was delicious. For dessert we ordered a key lime torte and a caramelized apple tart with coffee/cappuccino. the view of the Duck Pond was pretty and tranquil. All in all a terrific birthday dinner at a very attractive restaurant.

Our experience began with an upbeat server named Michael approaching us for our drink order. We were late as far the dining hours go and still waiting for our 4th person to arrive. Michael returned with our drinks, gave us a low down on specials, took an appetizer order and assured us that they would remain open until the final party member arrived. Our last arrival got to Thyme an hour and a half late. Personally, I am viciously allergic to allium (onion family), so preparing food for me is like a sculptor carving water. Tom the owner/chef delivered magnificently, crafting a tasty app and entree, rounded out with unique and delicious desserts. Needless to say, we kept the staff an hour beyond closing time, which they did cheerfully. A+++++

my son had the grilled chicken handroll which was basically a wrap cut in half. the only problem with it was it was open ended on both ends (unlike wraps which are folded over). so when you pick up one of the halves and bite into one end, stuff (chicken, avocado or the greens ) would fall from the other end. it was a good handroll, just a bit messy with the ingredients falling out.

We have had brunch at Thyme a number of times and have always enjoyed it. Father's Day brunch was much more expensive than the usual menu and not any different. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with crab cakes, served on a biscuit. The crab cakes were mushy and had no crab taste. They seemed to mostly be bread crumbs. The biscuit was equally mushy. The potatoes were just ok, not crisp or particularly flavorful. This was a failure of a dish!

We had a terrific meal at Thyme on our recent visit. We arrived early on a Friday, before 5 pm and sat outside on the deck overlooking the pond. We were almost the only ones there. We took advantage of their great prixe fixe special. My wife had the ceaser slaw appetizer with shaved brussel sprouts, I had the calimari. Both were excellent. She had the chicken entree and I had the sliced hanger steak -- again, both were wonderful. We finished up with selections from the dessert menu, which were a perfect ending. The service was first rate. We would highly recommend.
