"Its brand new and a wonderful trendy new modern Greek restaurant, its young and energetic yet very class.Its a beautiful design and feel to the place and it also has a cozy feeling too. Its very CLEAN which really adds to the whole experience. The staff goes beyond.. We'll be back .. ALOT worth the trip in from Manhattan too..."

"The restaurant had a very pleasing environment. The wait staff was very attentive and the food delicious. It definitely is a more upscale Greek Restaurant than some of the others in Astoria. Would return for another meal in the future."

"We had a lovely dinner. The food is good and the service is very pleasant and solicitous. The space is pretty and everyone is working hard. This restaurant will likely be "very good" to "excellent" in all categories after they have been open just a little while longer. There are some timing and other issues that should be resolved after the staff has gotten better acquainted and they've grown accustomed to the space. We really enjoyed it, but it would not be fair to others not to mention things like dinner side dishes arriving (and then staying!) alongside the salad course. (GREAT option to try almost every wine by the glass!)"

"A wonderful new addition to the Astoria dining scene. A Greek restaurant that is not your typical taverna: featuring more than grilled fish and fried zucchini and Greek salad - a truly adventurous menu and a great dining experience. I enthusiastically recommend this restaurant."

"Our dinner at Thymari was a surprisingly delightful foodie experience. The appetizers and entrees were each uniquely herbacious and flavorful. We tried the mussels with butter wine sauce and Greek saffron and, the feta saganaki with berry compote were excellent and enjoyed every morsel. The pork loin with prunes, rosemary served with a pea and parsley puree, grilled apples and honey vinegar was outstanding. The roasted stuffed quail with ouzo orange sauce and chestnut potato puree was amazing. Amazing flavors and tastes that romanced the traditional Greek and mediterranean dishes, yet provided a sophisticated twist in the preparation and presentation ensured that we will return again and again."

"This is a wonderful place! The food is delicious and of very high quality, with clean flavors that are never greasy or heavy. The menu has a great variety of interesting dishes for very reasonable prices. The dining room is very warm, inviting and comfortable, and the service is attentive and friendly. And there's a great bar for an after dinner drink. What a wonderful find!"

"The atmosphere at this charming new restaurant is warm and inviting, yet modern, and the modern Greek food is delicious and well-prepared. You can tell that the owners really care about the customer's satisfaction, and the service is attentive and very friendly. I really felt welcome there. They also have great wines at really reasonable prices, which is definitely a plus!"

"Interesting collection of Greek wines to sample and some adventurous food. However, the quality of the food dishes was uneven. Two dishes arrived almost cold and the quail seemed over done to a crisp. The waiter brought our salad and appetizer plates together, rather than in the sequence we had asked for. Three different wait staff asked how our food was almost one after the other, even before we had started eating, and this went on intermittently, unnecessarily interrupting our conversation and reducing our enjoyment of the food. They have quite a few kinks to work out still."
