I've eaten there many times for lunch, happy hour, and dinner and never had one bad experience. The food at happy hour isn't going to win competitions, but the drink prices more than make up for it. Their cocktail creations are inexpensive and quite good. Who goes to happy hour for the food anyways? The dinner filet was cooked perfectly. Also try the fried green tomatoes and apple fritters. Being from NYC it is hard to find an establishment that compares to what is available in NY. I would say Thrive is my new go to spot when I am looking for a great Saturday evening. The food is delicious with a sophisticated twist. The prices and quantity is reasonable. On Saturdays, the restaurant turns into a lounge/dance club. The atmosphere was sophisticated. We currently live in Minneapolis which is home to many great restaurants and travel a lot so you could say we have been around the block a few times. The Georgia Shrimp appetizer was amazing--the seasoning was spot on. I had the Thrive Special and Vesuvius sushi rolls, which the waiter recommended when I couldn't decide and both were fresh and contrasted each other nicely. My boyfriend ordered the filet of beef tenderloin, which was cooked medium rare perfectly and the waiter also recommended a great malbec that my boyfriend really enjoyed. The prices were very reasonable for the high-quality dishes and wine, and the atmosphere was very comfortable, yet upscale. However, my friend and I were recently in Atlanta for a meeting. We loved the varied menu at Thrive. We at two out of four dinners at Thrive during our stay in Atlanta. Loved the Scallops and Grits on the first evening. The second evening, I ordered a variety of vegetables from the "sides" menu. Everything was delicious. The service was friendly. We ordered several appetizers and entrees to share among the group since we had never been there before. The food choices were very good and would come again to try other items on the menu.
