Nice spot to chill and grab a
drink and chit chat. They have a large outdoor patio which was closed off due it still being winter. However, it was very nice indoors. Great cocktail menu and many beers to choose from. Their wood oven pizzas are great and their special french fries are awesome. I definitely recommend checking this place out."

The food at this place is
outstanding. It's a fairly small menu, and you need to be a little adventurous, but their pairings for entrees are delicious! We had scallops, mushroom risotto with beef cheeks and the hamburger. Highly recommend! Might be a little intimidating for suburbanites. Great beer and cocktails too!"

Went with my husband for
Valentine's Day - we have been several times and Three Aces is one of our favorite spots. We love the cheese and charcuterie to start off with. We have always wanted to try the burger because it looks so good and finally did...it was perfectly cooked and delicious. We also had the risotto with braised beef, I didn't want to share it! Didn't make it to dessert this time, but enjoyed some excellent drinks. Our server was terrific, so friendly & helpful! We can always count on great service here and have never been disappointed. We tend to always get sat right next to the pool table, so I would like to be able to sit somewhere else next time. It gets a little crowded with people playing pool. Music is awesome!"

Great beer selection, the Mushroom
was risotto was absolutely delicious, great atmosphere, it was a blizzard out and freezing, seating hostess sat us down at the warmest seat in the house. Great time, Definitely coming back."

I have literally never had a bad
experience here. Great beers selection of craft beers. The mushroom risotto is to die for!! I wanted to lick the plate!"

I have a short list for places to
take friends, dates, celebrate birthdays, and day drink. Three Aces is on every one of those lists. It's laid back and fun with food that typically isn't. Everything I've ever had there has been stellar and seasonal, the cocktails are magic and the beer list is always changing and really excellent. It's noisy sometimes and it's kinda dark at night, but that adds to the awesome. During the summer, the outside is a perfect spot to eat, drink, and hang out."

This is really one of the best/top
restaurants in Chicago, and the best part about it is it's a neighborhood spot, very affordable fun and they are dishing up some great meals that are thoughtfully prepared and fresh. Not to mention, their waitstaff is amazing and very attentive, no mater how busy it is. We always have such a fun time, whether it's just the two of us or we're with a group. This is a GREAT spot and I can't wait fro my next meal there - probably later this week!"
Dined on 1/24/2014
Varied menu with unique ingredient
combinations. Not your typical bar food. The burger and short rib pizza were wonderful. The bolognese sauce was yummy as a dip for the fries. My only criticism is that it was SO dark! There was a candle on the table that I had to hold right up to the menu and could still hardly see to read it. They were also out of the cocktail I ordered. To their credit they brought me an alternate drink to taste."
Dined on 1/14/2014
This place rocks as long as you
love bacon. They are noted as winning several years awards for most creative use of bacon. And boy do they deliver in a great way. I have been here quite a few times and I never leave hungry or dissapointed. They also have a pretty big beer list of drafts and bottles along with some cocktails. This place would be $$ out of $$$$$ as far as cost goes it's not crazy expensive but some things are."

We were running down our list of
best burger places in Chicago so we had to try the Ace Burger at Three Aces. It was very good and I'd definitely order it again, but it wasn't as good as some of the other top-rated places. They also serve their fries with a bolognese sauce -- it wasn't for me but others in our group raved about that unique twist on the fries"

Had dinner there twice. First time
for brunch (before Bears game). We'll be back, but probably for dinner"
Dined on 12/29/2013
Group of three looking for the
best burger in Chicago - Three Aces was on the list so we tried it. Really, it seems like a bar more than anything - hard rock played at high volume cuts into the table conversation but we all tend to like a good bar atmosphere. For the the main event, I have to say (and all agreed) one of the best burgers I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, great combination of ingredients, just damn near perfect. Will return anytime I'm in the mood for the burger - frankly, I don't recall much else about the menu!!"

We love it! We went the other
night for a late dinner after the Black Hawks, so good!"
Dined on 12/8/2013
Great food, excellent service and
always so much fun. I can't say enough good things about Three Aces. If you haven't been you must try it - it really will surprise and delight you!"
Dined on 12/6/2013
There were 6 of us and 3 of us
ordered the short rib panini at the recommendation of the server. When our food arrived, I opened up my panini to find zero meat on the bread. It had cheese and a couple of slices of mushrooms scattered across the bread. My two other dining companions who ordered the panini looked at theirs too and it was the same thing. What the heck?? We showed the server and she took our plates back to the kitchen. About 30 minutes later, our sandwiches showed up again with a minimum amount of meat. By then, we ate them because we were starving. The owner took them off the bill, but we still left feeling ripped off and embarrassed that we recommended the restaurant to our friends."

Three Aces is a very noisy rocker
bar with surprisingly good food. There atmosphere of this bar/restaurant is loud and crowded and dark. The noise level was so high it was difficult to hold a conversation without raising our voices . The service was fair for a crowded restaurant. Her knowledge of the menu and recommendations were good. The pizzetta appetizer (porchetta sausage) was great for sharing with good flavor. The Ace burger was the best we've had in a long time. The drink selection was excellent. There was a huge beer selection and the mixed drinks were also good. We had the pomegranate lemonade and it was excellent. As long as you know it will be difficult to hold a conversation, I would go back again for the food."

We went to Three Aces before a
concert at UIC Pavilion. It's within walking distance, and definitely worth the stop. We were initially attracted by it's outstanding selection of micro-brews. The group I was eating with enjoyed trying new beers, and getting to order some of our traditional (but hard to find) favorites. The food was top notch. We had the amazingly buttery and delicious brussel sprouts and the duck fat chips to start (eh). My husband, who is a burger fanatic, was not disappointed by theirs. One of the best he's had in awhile, according to him. We also had the flatbread with short ribs and ham/beet salad. The service was a little slow, but our waitress was very nice (and they were very busy). Make reservations, & come!"

I'd been curious about Three Aces.
So we went. Loud. Very loud. Weird menu. Mediocre food. Not going back."
Dined on 11/22/2013
This is a local bar on Taylor
street, but the food is far from usual. Everything we ordered was delicious from the duck fat chips to the pasta. They have a special fun drinks menu too. Be prepared, if you are in the main bar area it is noisy. If you want it quieter ask for a table in the back area where it's a little quieter."
Dined on 11/15/2013
We had a late seating, so most of
what we wanted was no longer available. Food was good, thought the bolognese fries were soggy. Our Server was attentive."
Dined on 11/9/2013
Saw their photo of the special on
Three Aces facebook page & booked the reservation. Bustling Friday night crowd. Excellent food. Always something new on the menu & whatever is on menu is spot on. We had the pork shoulder which melted in your mouth. Also the special was sausages over pumpkin spatzle with kale & a poached egg. Exceptional beer list. Vibrant atmosphere. Good service."
Dined on 11/8/2013
If you plan on enjoying any
conversation with your dining partners, forget it. This place had music blaring so loud you couldn't hear the person sitting next to you. Might be fine for drinks, but the atmosphere for dining was atrocious. Never again."
Dined on 11/8/2013
My second time here didn't
disappoint. Fantastic burger and bolognese fries! All food sources are hand chosen. Pizzas are also a must. Great presentation."
Dined on 10/28/2013
While our food was good, the
portions were way too small. Also, I had two cocktails. One was a classic - Corpse Reviver #2 - and it was the worst one I have ever had. It tasted like frat house punch."
Dined on 10/20/2013
The food was outstanding! The
octopus risotto was amazing-the burger was ground to perfection and was literally the best burger I ever had!!!!"
Dined on 10/12/2013
Real cocktails, creative menu.
Great dining experience with friends before a concert at United Center!"
Dined on 9/30/2013
Three Aces is definitely in tune
with the night life of the city. A great spot with outdoor dining and a nice bar. The only thing that keeps me from giving Three Aces a 5, some drinks on the menu they were out of which is understandable. At the end of our dining experience we felt rushed to leave the establishment and it wasn't crowded. Aside from those minor things is was an over all pleasurable experience."
Dined on 9/29/2013
Great Burger and appetizer-the
Popcorn with scallions and Parmesan cheese!"

Always a delightful experience!
Great local food with a friendly vibe!"

Three Aces was not quite what I
was expecting, when going for their "bike night" on Sundays.... It is more Hip than Rough, has a diverse menu and MANY selections to choose from on the Beer Menu!! The patio was loud and energetic, with a Rock-a-billy band playing (playing very well too!!). It was also Womens Mud Wrestling night, so we were not expecting to see a bunch of ladies in costumes running around the bar, but the people watching was priceless!! Try on of the pizza's, if you like thin crust home made!! Many entree's are great as well!"

Three Aces is an awesome find in
the Little Italy/UIC Medical District area. The food is very well done, using interesting and fun ingredients, and the service is top notch. Love the music - a great mix of today, 80s punk, and rockabilly. The scene is ridiculous - medical professionals, 20-somethings, bikers and greasers - but everyone is looking to have a great time and eat great food. Drinks are fantastic and the beer selection is top-notch. We love this place, esp sitting on the patio on a great summer night,"

I've been to this place before for
lunch on a Sunday when there were about 5 people in the place. The food and beer selection were good. I figured I'd give this place another try on a recent Friday night out with my girlfriend. Being Friday night I expected a busy scene and as we had plans after I made an OpenTable reservation. Upon checking in the hostess informed me that they were "slammed" and it might be a 30 minute wait. After telling her of my reservation, to which we were on time for, she said she could "put my name on the top of the list". She never took my name. We walked in and although it was busy it was not "slammed" as I spotted at least 3 to 4 open tables (ironically). We left and had a great meal down the street."
Dined on 8/10/2013
I was very disappointed as a
mature diner. My daughter loves this place for pizza and I made reservation to celebrate her birthday here. I called in advance to tell them. They just about acknowledged her day, brought a blown out candle(because of the wind) to our table. The server did not open his mouth. The service was horrible, asked for water and a straw. Never again for me, very disappointed."
Dined on 8/8/2013
Also great 1/2 off pizzas on
Mondays... Where else can you get this kind of deal?"
Dined on 8/6/2013
Very welcoming staff. Food is
thoughtful and fun. Hip and relaxed at the same time! Great neighborhood."
Dined on 8/3/2013
I was really looking forward to
coming here. We sat at the bar to wait for a table. The bartender never came over for an order. There where 2 of them. At the table we ordered drinks off their specialty drink list. They couldn't make one of the drinks because they were out of an ingredient. We ordered the burger, which was good. The fries were a big disappointment . They looked old. They were sparse, over-cooked, broken up and dry . The kind that have been sitting in the bottom of the basket too long. We ordered the bolognese sauce, which they forgot . We had a pizza with prosciutto and egg that was delicious . We had the scotch egg, which was a little dry. I don't understand all the hype about this place. Maybe I expected too much."

My husband and I love this place!
The food is delicious! He loves the burger and I love the pizzas. Especially the margharita pizza. Everything tastes so fresh. They also have a great selection of beer. We went there for bike night last week with some friends and had a great time! The rockabilly band was really good. I also love the decor and the outside patio area. It's one our favorite restaurants!"
Dined on 7/22/2013
I never have complaints about this
place... Service is always great and the food is always amazing."
Dined on 7/7/2013
I passed three aces quite often
and finally decided to stop in. They have nice outdoor area to have food drinks. Extensive beer list and great fries."
Dined on 6/30/2013
I came here for a second date. We
were on the fringe of the burger or the chicken. We decided to try both and split it. The burger and bolognese fries were great! The chicken was a little dry and somewhat salty but still good. We opted to sit indoors because, for some reason, it is 60 degrees in Chicago in July! Regardless, the restaurant still had all of its doors open and the place was chilly. Come early for a more intimate meal or later for dinner/drinks with friends. The crowds and music began to get louder around 8:00. Overall, good experience. Try the Ace Burger!"
