"The food was tasteless and gross. I got two appetizers, the crab cakes and soup of the day. The crab cakes were tasteless and came on a bed of gross coleslaw. The soup of the day tasted like old soup stock. I then ordered the potato skins, which had too many too sweat onions on them.
The whole thing was awful."

"We met friends for a late brunch / lunch on a snowy, cold Sunday. The food was good with good portions that represented value for money. The onion rings deserve a special mention although my wife found them a little greasy...

The service matched the experience and we'd definitely return."

"It was my first time at the Thompson Diner. I had walked by it and decided to try it with my best friend, we were going for a late night, casual dinner. We both had burgers, one with wedge salad and the other with fries. Everything was delicious and the complimentary pretzel sticks to start was a nice surprise.I would go back..."

"Interesting take on a classic diner.
Seafood salad was the hit at our table, great, fresh pieces of seafood.
I had the fried chicken...it was okay, but would rather had the classic fried chicken, versus the trendy, artisically displayed plate that landed on my table.
We had one small issue becuase our classic poutine seemed to be overcooked and cold. But when asked to reheat the poutine they made a fresh one which was perfect.
If you are looking for a classic diner, go somewhere else, but if you are looking for a trendy and hip place to have similar flavors but with an urban twist, check out Thompson. Also noted...it is open 24hours a day!"
