  • "I always enjoy coming to this little hidden place. The vibe is always so great, the food delicious, the service perfect. I'm never disappointed here."

  • "I'm a little disappointed in the Yellow Porch--despite the mixed reviews, I wanted to give it a try. The salmon was just ok--not exactly hot, and just average. The sides, which I believe were couscous and bok choy, were both very bland and also room temperature. We had a very nice server, but we left feeling dissatisfied having paid $88 for two just ok meals, one glass of wine, two beers, and carrot cake."

  • "The food was good. Everyone was very nice. The waiter was "over-busy". The waiter was very nice and helpful with wine & food selections, but the service was extremely slow. Took forever to get our meal. Have always enjoyed this restaurant and would go again sometime, but was disappointed in the waiting time."

  • "I surprised my husband with a dinner at Yellow Porch for his birthday. The staff gave us exactly what I had hoped for...a cozy table, excellent service, and a superb meal. It was definitely a memorable evening!"

  • "This is the third time I have been to the Yellow Porch and I always have an exceptional meal and dining experience. Their Paella is something everyone must try."

  • "1st time visitors. My wife and I were joined for dinner by a couple / friends from out of town and we had a Saturday evening seating. Appetizers and entrees were very good and we were pleased. We will recommend this restaurant. Service was below average and we felt rushed. The waiter - instead of introducing himself / welcoming us to TYP/ and asking us for drinks he instead asked us "What was our Plan" - rude approach - we felt rushed to get our orders in and once that occurred drinks were empty for some time and his attention towards our table went down. Recommend getting reservations; hard to locate this establishment but once you do - the food is excellent;"

  • "Yellow Porch has an amazing menu as well as a great wine list. We needed some gluten free options and the server was very knowledgeable and shared easily and completely. I had the pork and my girlfriend had the salmon. We both enjoyed the patio area and the quiet conversation on our Thursday evening dinner to celebrate life and happiness. It was a wonderful evening from start to end!!"

  • "We ordered the antipasti plate and were pleasantly surprised by the variety and amount of food. Unlike many places we did not need to order more bread; the portions were oerfect. Also had the cheese fritters and these were excellent. The waiter was attentive but not overbearing, i.i, he did not keep interrupting us to ask if everything was OK. Wine list was excellent and by the glass prices were fair."

  • "We came here for a dinner with a couple. Ordered the celery blue cheese soup, crab cakes, veggie lasagna and a bottle of pinot. All were average. I will say that the bread seemed stale and that the lasagna was under seasoned. Not my favorite."

  • "My wife and I love this place. We met friends here from out of town who originally wanted to go to one of the new trendy restaurants with the catchy one-syllable names that make the national newspapers, and talked them out of it, and we were all please we did. The service level was just right, the wine choices great, the food memorable. Best of all, the noise level is moderate and you can hear the person next to you talking. The Yellow Porch is consistently good."

  • "An absolute quality meal. Excellent food, good wine list, very good service too! All aspects of our dining experience were way above average. I am a foodie with a background in the wine and restaurant industry. I can and will be critical if need be. This experience exceeded expectations. I will recommend The Yellow Porch to others!"

  • "This restaurant has a unique take on dishes. The food tastes good and fresh. The service is normally good. The desserts have been the disappointment of the night the last two visits. The strawberry shortcake just wasn't all that good. The biscuits should have been soaked in the strawberry juice to give more flavor and cut the dryness. The fish dishes while very good have been served cool on our last 2 visits."

  • "Hadn't been to Yellow Porch for a while and it was a welcome return. Food was great as expected, service was slow at first, but picked up and attentive. My most favorite part was reconnecting with the bartender from Taste (my favorite Nashville hangout, now gone) works at YP! He has the right touch with drinks, customers and conversation - although he was not our waiter that evening. I'll go back just for that! "

  • "When we arrived we were promptly seated and given a more private table as requested. The server brought us water and there were many wonderful wine options. We both received our food in a reasonable time. The bread was very good in a olive oil sauce. We got the Penee pasta and a Greek salad and both were amazing! The tomatoes were especially fresh and went well in the pasta. We will definitely be back!"

  • "our friday evening Yellow Porch dinner was PERFECT!! our server Christophina could have written the book on the proper way to be a server...not too much- not too little -JUST RIGHT!! He suggested delicious options for apps and also for our entrees! His instinct to appear at the table at the right time was amazing!! Thanks for making our Friday Friendship Dining experience so wonderful!!"

  • "Party of three for dinner Fri. night. Meal was fabulous! Service was a bit slow and noise level quite high as there aren't any materials to absorb the sound. Would definitely return for another meal. "

  • "I had the salmon and roasted vegetables, which was great. But our server, Mateo was having a bad night. I had to ask to order my wine each time and had to ask for bread. Once when I asked him something, he said "just a minute" and went back to the kitchen. Then he never gave us our bill , he just took our credit cards and checked us out. I never saw the bill. I would have complained, but did not see a manger the whole night."

  • "The platter of mussels were perfect and the spinach and water melon salad delicious and the Salmon scrumptious. I would go back to the Yellow porch because my experience there was very good. Great food, great service, great atmosphere and ambiance."

  • "Recently had dinner there, and had not been in awhile. The service was not great. As an example, our waittress was offering dessert menus and asking if we were interested before one of our guests had finished her dinner. Feedback from all four diners at our table was that the food was unremarkable. "

  • "I went here with my mom this past weekend, it is my second time and I loved it both times. They have a great wine list and bar, I heard that it is always smart to try their fish special of the day for dinner, I had the halibut with a sweet potato/ butternut squash potato gratin and brocollini. It was amazing. My mom got the coffee rub ny strip(dinner special) , and said it wasn't the best but the sides that came with it were awesome. BUT THE BANANA BREAD FOSTER BREAD PUDDING is amazing, we got it with vanilla ice cream on top. it is served warm and melts in your mouth. I have lived in nashville for 4 years and this might be my favorite dessert and nashville. anyways, love this place. "

  • "I always look forward to eating here. The food is always good, the service is good. And the evening is satisfying. What could be better?"

  • "Emphasis on the "little"... The yellow porch is one of those oddly hidden gems in 100 oaks/berry hill area, just tucked in between a bank and a jersey mike's. Parking is terrible, but after hours, you can park at the bank and walk over easily enough. The menu is full of wonderful unique options, but never seems overwhelming, and the drinks are all solid. The waitstaff is peppy, conversational, and knowledgeable, and offered great complimentary options for us while we were there. Oh, and if you have a sweet tooth, the bread pudding is unreal when you throw ice cream on top!"

  • "Food is fine, service is fine but.. No parking and no valet. Took 20 minutes after reservation to get seated. None of this would have mattered except that I was there with my 85 year old mother and no one offered her a chair or a drink. She stood waiting. "

  • "The food was on point and the staff made it that much better. Terrific experience from beginning to end. "

  • "The place is cute, inside and out. There's a nice outdoor dining area on two levels that would be a good place to sit in pleasant weather. It was full when we arrived for our 7:30p reservations. We had a little trouble finding a free table that wasn't jammed up too close to other patrons since the room was almost totally full. The wine list is surprisingly expensive: $40 was the cheapest bottle of red. That was a big disappointment for a small neighborhood spot. The menu is eclectic but also expensive. We had two fish dishes that were good and a vegetable lasagna that was fair. It took about an hour to get our food after we placed our order. The kitchen seemed to be overwhelmed by the number of orders to fill. We are unlikely to return."

  • "Perhaps a server didn't show up -- it happens. Service was so slow that we had to work to stay happy for our special dinner. Our waiter eemed irritated, though we made no unusual requests. Sorghum chicken was a hit but the mac & cheese was completely forgettable. The cherry salad (entree size) made the grade. King Klip special was fantastic, and the trout just ok. Everything took so long, with no apologies, we just wanted out after eating our main courses. the staff seemed to realize that having one waiter race over so many tables, mix drinks, AND be nice was just too much to expect. They were friendly and helpful to our elderly companion -- as we left! For the price, we should have had a better experience. Just sayin'."

  • "Always reliable. The food was excellent with many choices on the menu for all. We had the lamb dish and a pasta dish and both were excellent. The atmosphere was great as always and the service was good. This has been a reliable choice for us dining for various occasions. From special occasions to a simple date night, The Yellow Porch doesn't disappoint."

  • "Server not knowledgeable about wine. Unfortunate because wine list has quit variety. Red wine served too warm. Dessert excellent!"

  • "We had an 8:30 OT reservation, arrived on time. 12 people were seated ahead of us. One in our party left due to time constraints. Entrées took one hour from seating. Felt more like they should be handing out buzzers than a place taking reservations. They need to work on this. Food was good."

  • "After reading the reviews here, my husband and I had to visit. And it was terrific. Our server was very helpful and recommended a great wine, the antipasti plate was large and all the items were delicious. I had the coffee brined pork chop and my husband had a skillet cooked half-chicken, and we really liked both. Parking is a little constrained, but overall it was great!"
