Disappointed with the food. The farmers breakfast omelet was dry and overcooked. The sausage patty was burnt. Hash browns were very good. The "Worthington Egg" dish said that it was served with corned beef hash. There was just a trace to be found in the dish. Very disappointed. Far superior breakfast to be had at Skillet at a lower cost or even Nancy's. Such a letdown since our last visit there when they had their full breakfast buffet.

The only problem we had was something beyond the restaurant's control - an extremely loud and agitated 2 year old at the next table. It turned what should have been a quiet, relaxing evening into more of a shouting match. Other than that, the food was wonderful and the service top notch.

I ordered the seafood dish and there were only 6 small potatoes, 3 shrimp and 6 clams in a bowl mostly made up of tomatoes and a broth. The house salad felt as if I was chewing on green hay and was gross!

The menu was limited to only a few dinner choices. I had a pasta dish and my husband had a seafood stew. We both liked our meals, but agreed that we could find a similar quality dinner at a cheaper price. We did not encounter this when we went to dine, but a neighbor of ours tried to have lunch with his wife and 2 small children, and they were turned away, because they claimed to not have space for the children.

Our brunch was disappointing particularly since I joined a friend for lunch a few days earlier and had a lovely salad nicoise with grilled salmon. I ordered the Farmer's Breakfast for brunch and got an unattractive plate of overdone scrambled eggs and veggies (veggies much appreciated) with cheese grated but not melted. The server said they couldn't find the whole wheat bread. She managed to bring it to the table but the bread was barely toasted and it was accompanied by a cloyingly sweet cherry? jam.

Not necessarily kid friendly; due more to patrons than actual restaurant. Tends toward an elderly crowd >50 with offerings appealing to that segment of the population. For our age group (30-35) would recommend Cap City or Fish Market brunch instead.

We had an outstanding meal when we dined last Sat. at the Inn, as we always have whenever we've eaten there. We thought about trying a new place for a change, but decided against it, since we've consistently had a wonderful dinner experience there in the past. We were both very glad that we chose The Worthington Inn for our Saturday night dinner!

We had a group of 6 of us for brunch. We went at 10 and other than us, there were two other diners. It was practically empty. While I understand people like to sit and chat a bit, especially for brunch, there was no reason for the server to make several passes around the table, occasionally refilling water but making no mention of taking an order. After an hour we finally asked him to take our order. At that time we were informed there were no bananas or salmon so any order requiring them were unavailable. We should have been told this in the hour prior. It then took over an hour to get food out when most of us ordered eggs (?!?) I ended up having to leave early without eating since I had somewhere to be 2 1/2 hours after we sat down.

Went for Saturday brunch. It wasn't very busy but it took 20 mins for waitress to take our order then we didn't see her again for close to 40 mins later when they finally brought our food. The food was good but not really worth the wait or feeling that we weren't appreciated.

We had dinner at the Worthington Inn on the Saturday night of an evening OSU home game so, except for a couple of folks in the bar and one or two larger parties that we leaving as we arrived, we were nearly the only people in the place, which was sort of strange, as it's always been pretty full in our previous visits. The food, however, was as good as usual and the service continues to be impeccable. We all had salads and fish, which were outstanding. We really appreciate the quiet atmosphere --- one of the few places in town where you can actually talk to the other folks at your table without raising your voice. We will surely visit there again soon.

We went because of this special event. Food was great and we will look forward to this event the next time it is offered. It was a prie-fixe menu at $35 with two choices each of appetizer, main course, and dessert. Naturally, we chose one of each. It was quite enjoyable. There is a nice ourdoor dining area facinf High Street--we did not choose it this time because the weather was slighty sticky.

This was our first visit after a long absence from the Columbus area. Prior to our move we were always fond of the quality and creative food at Worthington Inn. What a disappointing to encounter a place which was a shadow of its former glory. Food and service were mediocre, the interior of the restaurant seems to be in urgent need of updating. The only item in line with its former reputation were the prices on the menu. Fortunately, there are many other places in the Columbus area which maintained their high quality level over time and others which joint them during recent years.

Food at Worthington Inn was excellent. The Vegetable Plate had a nice variety of choices and seasonings. Their version of a calamari appetizer is superb. Just the right amount of asian slaw mixed with the calamari. Though the restaurant was not crowded, service was below par. For example, we had to asked for the bread basket.

Our server was polished, perfectly mannered, and presentation was awesome! The Worthington Inn ambiance is exactly what one wants when desiring a 'period piece' setting... great historical Inn. The wine list is outstanding... I had the Allamand Malbec which was great with my filet. I am very sensitive to MSG and I wonder if any of my food contained it. None the less, the food tasted great.

I ordered the special since it sounded wonderful and I have never had a bad food item here. The red snapper from Hawaii with ginger and coconut sounded irresistable. The folks at the next table had a piece that was large enough to share. My fish was overcooked to bouncy and tough and chewy, no flavor, large gray chunks and very small. The waitress never returned to ask how everything was. My bill was over $100 - so one would expect to have professionally grilled fish that is at least edible. Disappointing.

Had a weekend without the kids so my husband and I decided to try brunch at the Worthington Inn. Our reservation was for 12:30. We arrived at the front door and waited several minutes before being approached. They took us to a small table, but we asked to have a larger one. None of the other tables were set yet (there were plenty available) so we waited another 5 minutes or so before one was ready. The brunch menu was a served menu, and there were many options for breakfast, much fewer lunch items. My husband got the crab benedict, I had the steak. Service was OK, a bit slow, only got one refill on beverages. Food was good. Would have liked to have more lunch options. Overall, a good meal, not sure I would rush back.
