Diner Reviews
  • "The wife & I had a fantastic 1st anniversary with the help of the staff at The Worthington Inn. The food was so good we learned to make it at home. Yum! We would definitely go again."

  • "We love the Worthington Inn! Brunch for my mom's birthday was perfectly delicious and elegant, thank you!"

  • "We had a wonderful dinner on a quiet Monday evening. From first course to dessert the food was outstanding and prepared with such care. They also took special care of my peanut allergy which was greatly appreciated. The menu changes with the seasons so you can always expected fresh quality local ingredients which is one reason why it's top notch!"

  • "The Worthington Inn NEVER disappoints. I love the menu options that focus on local sourcing, the wine list is spectacular and the service is always polite and not intrusive. Yes, it is not an inexpensive place to eat, but you definitely get what you are paying for-from the food, the wine offerings, the service, and the overall ambiance of the meal. A great place to take anyone for a nice lunch or dinner. They also have a great happy hour and live music Wednesday and Friday. I would highly recommend!"

  • "Would have preferred eating in the pub area, which was totally packed for Happy Hour. Dining rooms were fairly empty at 6:30 pm. Our server was excellent and attentive, however the food was very disappointing. Tasteless bread served with a whipped spread that did not look or taste like butter. Due to other rave reviews, we both ordered the Beef Worthington which was presented nicely and the potato and spinach were quite good. The two tiny filets of beef on my plate were so tough I kept looking to see if I was cutting across the grain and I was. Ended up taking 1/2 of each home in a box. Sliced it up for a treat for my 3 Bearded Collies & they wouldn't eat it either... just tossed it around in the air and left it. Kind of makes you wonder!"

  • "Waitress was overworked so therfore very slow. Not her fault but it was annoying."
    Dined on 3/22/2014
  • "I normally do not like buffets, but the Sunday brunch buffet at Worthington Inn is delicious. The only buffet I would pay for again!"

  • "I wish I could love this restaurant! I want to love it!!! The food is excellent, the location is perfect, but the kitchen and staff just can't get it together?!? I live close by and go there frequently, and this restaurant is just so inconsistent. My last visit was on a slow night, maybe 4 other tables were occupied, and our food took so long. I've had some of my best meals at restaurants when there were only a few other diners. Why did it take so long? What was the kitchen doing???? Other times I've ate at the Inn and our server basically abandoned us...I had to walk around and search for him! Pull it together"

  • "Tim did an excellent job. Food perfect, service wonderful. Always great! I am there often!"
    Dined on 3/25/2014
  • "Personally, I didn't like the food. The goat's cheese salad was nothing especial, neither were the apetizers (lamb rack and grill mix), all drawn in sauce. The best was the wine. Pretty expensive. Service was right, but not amazing. I am Spanish an my taste criteria may be slightly different to americans, but I frankly think this is not worth the price."
    Dined on 3/21/2014
  • "This is supposed to be one of the top restaurants in Columbus, but I don't understand why. For the price, the food was not that great. It was good, but I would have expected more considering the hype. Our server was very good and knowledgeable regarding the menu. I can't see myself returning unless I try the pub. I know of other restaurants in the Columbus area that serve better food in the same price range."

  • "When you walk in you feel as if though you have been whisked back in time to a beautiful and elegant dining establishment. Everything from the wallpaper to the linen covered tables invited you to participate in a wonderous journey. Hand craved peices of furniture, sconces on the walls and small oil lamps on the tables all spoke to your inner soul. We loved it and will definitely take the journey again. The meal was an experience in quality and taste. Excellent !"

  • "Two words: BEEF WORTHINGTON. This dish is over the top: petit filet mignon, potato gratin, sautéed spinach, Point Reyes blue cheese, mushroom-cabernet demi. We generally avoid beef just because great chefs can make so many other things that are typically unavailable elsewhere (or at home). This item fits that category including the potato and spinach. You'll leave wanting to have licked the plate! To put the place in perspective, we drive from Cleveland (home of many great restaurants) to dine at The Worthington Inn. Service is always good and the prices are reasonable for the setting and food."

  • "Very nice environment with great service. The steak was excellent, although other food items were a bit on the sweet side for my family but still delicious. I would recommend this restaurant for any special occasion or just anytime if you don't mind the spicy prices."
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "They really need to do something about the Cheese Plate. Hardly any cheese and way too expensive for what they serve. Very disappointing."
    Dined on 3/12/2014
  • "Worthington Inn is a "go to" place for elegant dining. Worthington Inn is a frequent choice because of the reliable dining experiences to be had there. There is seldom disappointment in the food, the wait staff or ambience."

  • "My wife and I went here in early March for our anniversary, and had an excellent time. Being from out of town, we entered the door off of High Street. With that entrance, you have to navigate your way through the restaurant to the hostess stand. That's the only quirk we encountered the whole meal. From the time we were seated until the time we departed, we were treated to attentive service and wonderful food. This restaurant accommodates vegetarians (my wife) and meat eaters (myself) alike. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone looking for a nice meal, and excellent service."

  • "A good meal and great atmosphere. The appetizers were fantastic as we're the desserts. The entrees were good but not great."
    Dined on 3/8/2014
  • "It was not very busy at all on Saturday at 1pm which was kind of nice. The place has the old charm it suggests but isn't too fancy. The soft butter and bread are worth the trip itself. The menu had good options but portion size was rather small for the prices. I feel that the prices and service reflect the effort to provide scratch made quality items, but the service was a little slow at times. I would say this place is best for a special occasion or if you want to splurge a little extra for quality."

  • "My wife and I love the warm feel and well prepared food we ALWAYS experience when we come here. This week featured a touch of New Orleans and the charm of the 100 year old Inn provided the perfect setting. We were promptly seated and well attended by our server, Patrick. I started with a Hurricane. It was tasty and less sweetened, perfect for the noon hour. In addition to the regularly offered omelet, waffle and carving station, was a room long buffet offering dishes influenced by the famous offerings of The South. Peel and eat shrimp, Eggs Benedict, fried cat fish and a sliced, heated, breakfast version of a muffuletta. Everything was delicious and well presented. Truly a delightful brunch in one of my favorite buildings in Central Ohio."

  • "I've been to inn twice now, once for Sunday brunch and second time for dinner. Their food is the best I have ever had. The waiter was exceptional. This is must do restaurant when looking for a great dinning experience."

  • "This restaurant is not to be missed. The decor is outstanding and the ambience appropriate. Each room has its own interesting feel and personality. The bar area is particularly comfortable and a perfect spot for dinner. The service is outstanding and the food very good. An outstanding dinner experience not to be missed."

  • "Last minute reservations thru Open Table and everything just worked out. Friendly atmosphere, great food, enjoyable time with friends. Doesn't get much better than that for a spur of the moment Friday night dinner with friends."

  • "Lunch was enjoyable, sharing a bottle of wine with friends. The bruschetta and walleye and reuben sandwiches received high marks. Service was attentive and gracious. Though being a weekday following two holidays, the crowd was light making it hard to rate a typical day. Had a great time and will definitely return."

  • "consistently excellent dining. Had a guest with a mobility issue, and they went far and above out of their way to assist us. Most appreciated."

  • "We chose the Worthington Inn for this special night, it was also our first time there so it had to be really special. I gotta say that the place is up to the good reviews by our friends before our visit. Their menu is excellent and the food was delicious, also the ambient from such a beautiful place is an extra. We will definitely go back."

  • "My wife and I were at the Worthington Inn for Valentine's Day. We really liked the special menu for the occasion. The dessert was amazing. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We have been to this restaurant for other special occasions and have never been disappointed. We live 90 miles away. If we lived closer, we would eat here more often."

  • "Great food- Chef buys local, the Berkshire pork was fantastic! Go on Thursdays-- wine list is discounted! A true gem"

  • "I searched Sunday Buffet Brunches on the net and found The Worthington Inn. I was expecting amazing food and it was nice, but not amazing. The fish scewers were tasty, but the eggs benedict hollandaise sauce was missing the wow factor and the bread was soggy. The maple syrup and the waffles should have been better, that's an easy one (the maple syrup was not real). Little things matter to Foodies. Oddly, the oranges were amazing! The atomosphere was lovely and the staff was superb."

  • "The food was great and our server was awesome! The only downfalls were the crowd. My partner and I had planned a relaxing yet somewhat intimate date night with a decent place for dinner. I read the reviews on here and all was great leading me to think this would hit the spot. The looks we had from the patrons and some of the front of the house staff made us feel unwelcome. The decor threw us back to a time of wealth being of upmost importance and the need to throw it in everyone's face. I don't plan to return solely based on not feeling comfortable to have a meal without the judgement being had. I felt as though a dress code should have been mentioned prior to our arrival."

  • "We had a "girl's night" dinner on a very chilly January evening. Despite the weather, the restaurant was bustling and the bar was full of guests listening to live music (our server said that they don't charge a cover for this which is nice!). We ate in the dining room with a nice view of the fireplace. Our meal was fabulous and my friend who was in town from LA was super impressed with the cuisine. It was certainly worth the trip from downtown!"

  • "It was a cold & snowy night so the crowd was very, very light. Tim was our server, he was great. The good was delicious. Try the scallops!"

  • "Sunday Brunch was good. Food all prepared well. Service was excellent. Atmosphere good. The only disappointment was the lack of smoked salmon which I had enjoyed at a previous brunch."
    Dined on 1/19/2014
  • "The food, service was excellent. Service was well timed and friendly. However, the tables our too close together and you can hear others conversions which was annoying because the group that they sat by us where loud and very noise. Overall, I would still give it a 5 stars."

  • "Food is very good, but a bit pricey. Definitely a special occasion restaurant."

  • "Our plans changed at the last minute so instead of our usual New Year's Eve dinner, we opted for lunch. The Worthington Inn was an outstanding choice. All 7 of us truly enjoyed our meals, the relaxed and elegant atmosphere, and our attentive waiter. We will definitely return again and again!"

  • "on arrival the hostess at the front desk was very curt and unpersonable. we arrived five minutes early and she said not to come back to the desk until the reservation time. she did not smile even when taking us back to our table. it took a long time between drink order and appetizer. a salad was missed at the meal but was compensated for by a complimentary dessert which also took a very long time to arrive. everyone was done and ready to leave when it finally came. the waiter may have been overloaded as the restaurant was busy and he spent the nite apologizing. I would say it was an average experience."
    Dined on 12/23/2013
  • "I enjoyed the food. The atmosphere was great. The quantity of food choices was excellent. This was my third time at The Worthington Inn and As always I enjoyed it. The waiter could have been better. I had to chase him down for refills, He waited on other tables before coming to ours. I had to ask other servers to wait on us and I still left him a 20.00 tip."

  • "The brunch was very good. Everything was delicious. The service was a little slow, which hasn't been our experience in the past. However, it was very busy since it was the Sunday before Christmas."
