Diner Reviews
  • "It's a once a month treat! Love everything! I like knowing there will be new treats on the menu every time I go. Makes me look forward to going even more!"

  • "Food was great, would go there again for it. The cocktails sound uniquely delicious, but actually disappoint. Just tasted like alcohol with some citrus. The biggest frustration was that we had a reservation but still waited 45 minutes for our table. The restaurant is tiny so they obviously overbook in an effort to make up the money they lose on limited dining space. Would only go back on an off day/time."

  • "Great location and food for a business lunch. Everything was top notch, including the service and it was quiet and not difficult to get a table. I would definitely go again!"

  • "Have been here many times and had good experiences. This time, we booked a last minute table for 2 at 8 on a Thursday. When we arrived, the place was packed and the bar was full of people waiting for their tables. Not sure how they even allowed us to book a table on OT. Anyway, we waited for a while, then got a seat at the bar and waited a bit more. Then decided not to take the first table offered as it was right in the entry. Finally, we got a quiet table near the back of the room. The bartender was actually our server. she did a great job. Seems they like they taken the food quality (and unfortunately the prices too) up a notch. Everything we had was excellent. Highly recommended for a bit of a splurge night out."

  • "Food is very good to excellent, friendly staff great service. Everyone pitches in here from the Bartender to the Hostess, no one shys away from service you. Mussels appetizer is terrific I could make a meal of just that. Small menu but plenty of variety, went there with my Nephew and a friend and the friend is vegetarian, he loved the food. So did my nephew. Will go back as often as I can it is a great place small but sufficient."

  • "Our group of 4 really enjoyed the food, which was done perfectly in every aspect. Service was exceedingly slow at times, especially getting wine to the table. I think most of the trouble was between the bartender and the waitstaff. As others have mentioned, this place is expensive, especially the wine list, which has almost nothing below $50. Because of the expense, we won't make this a regular spot, but for a special occasion place in Greenwood/Centennial, I would recommend it over Venice Ristorante."

  • "The food was adequate, but nothing mouthwatering. I would expect more for "Fruition" prices.(My current gold standard). Service was slow, I still got charged after returning a glass of wine which tasted damaged. I don't know why they don't use window coverings."

  • "The food is delicious and the meal portions are perfect. This is an ideal restaurant for a birthday or anniversary dinner."

  • "The food was really great and the menu was very diverse. Everyone really left feeling satisfied with their meal but not overly full. The desserts were unique and delicious as well! Really like the chefs style :)"

  • "Food is excellent. We went on a Sunday eve so it wasn't too busy. Service started slow but got better. Will go again."

  • "Another great dining experience at The Wooden Table. Everyone working here is welcoming, sincere and accommodating. The food was wonderful--we had the mozzarella and prawn appetizers; the scallops were amazing as usual; and the others really liked their pastas which the waitress recommended. We had the outside terrace to ourselves, which was great, as the dining room can be a little noisy. It was the first visit for two in our party, and they were amazed that such a great dining experience existed in this unassuming, tucked away location. My only recommendation would be to add a couple entree items or specials, preferably fish or seafood. We'll be back!"

  • "Every course was amazing, and our server was very attentive while letting us enjoy our meal at our pace. Casual atmosphere but fine dining quality (and prices)."

  • "We had a reservation for 2 people at 7:00pm. We were immediately seated...and then waited for 25 minutes for a server to come over. After that, it was smooth sailing. The food was different/better than your typical Italian and the bread was amazing. The free Limoncello at then end of the meal was a nice touch."

  • "Was looking for a new restaurant to try for a celebration with my wife and happened across The Wooden Table. We enjoyed the dining experience very much and wood return again. Everything we sampled from salad to main course to dessert was excellent and delicious. The staff was also very good and made it a wonderful evening out."

  • "No diversity. Too loud. The table are so close I felt like I was with the couple next to us who were clearly on their first date (yes, that is how close). Our waiter seemed short with us, of course we were the ONLY couple of color there. The food was "ok". We wont' be returning."

  • "Received a call from Jordan to confirm that we would make our 6:15 reservation. VERY gracious on the phone and stated they were looking forward to us celebrating our friend's 50th birthday with them. Jordan greeted us as we entered and provided us with a very nice table. Our female waitress was very pleasant, helpful, and attentive. The food was excellent and we will be going back and recommending The Wooden Table to our friends."

  • "Though situated in a strip mall, The Wooden Table serves delicious and interesting dishes rather than the chain foods you might expect in a location where you can get your hair cut and shop for used clothing. They were beyond trusting (and gracious, I might add) as they accepted my "word" that I purchased a Groupon preciously yet couldn't display it on my phone. They just asked if I could call back with the voucher number within the next few days. Back to the food. My husband and I each ordered pasta dishes: he the tagliatelle and I the lobster tortelloni. We shared them and I couldn't decide which was tastier. We needed extra bread to soak up every last drop! We especially enjoyed the Lemoncello at the end of the meal. Can't wait to return"

  • "My wife and I had a birthday dinner and although we were near the windows, we had a very difficult time conversing at a moderate voice level. I realize the restaurant was somewhat busy but it was louder than she or I would return for. FYI."

  • "We had a lovely meal with some wonderful bites. We tried it of a groupon and so glad we did. The three courses were all wonderful, starting with the polenta and mozzarella, McCain chooses were snapper and steak and sharing a molten cake for dessert. Each bite was well crafted with thoughtful ingredients."

  • "The food is very good--just a great place to go and skip all the hassle of going downtown. We have dined there several times and it has always been good. The mussels are a favorite and are generous enough to serve as an entree."

  • "This was our second trip back to The Wooden Table. Our first visit was during Restaurant Week. We enjoyed our meal so much, we decided to celebrate our anniversary at The Wooden Table. The food was fabulous. We had the mussels for our appetizer. They were cooked perfectly and were in a delicious broth. I had the Beef option and it was flavorful and cooked to my liking. My wife had the Venison Papardelle. The pasta was cooked just right and the venison sauce was wonderful. We shared the awesome bread pudding, which was as wonderful as it was on our first visit."

  • "I had the duck and my wife had the rabbit. Both amazing! Polenta for appetizer was also great, as was the tres leches cake. We had a recommendation from a friend, and used a Living Social discount. Now one of our new favorites - we will definitely be back."

  • "We have eaten here 4 times & the food is always delicious. Tomato basil salad is great, prosciutto salad is large & my favorite. Mussles, sweet breads, app portion pastas are great. The scallops, fish, pork, duck, steak are awesome! Gnocchi with rabbit is wonderful! Desserts are great!! Nice wine list & great cocktails."

  • "After going to the Wooden Table several times I was disappointed by a surly waitress, who had very little interest in helping me and my friends find something we wanted to eat and drink during happy hour. The restaurant was quiet so the attitude was not due to a hectic work pace and we left quickly as we felt uncomfortable there. I hope this was a one-time occurrence but honestly it will prevent me from returning any time soon..."

  • "The menu offers fresh and unique appetizers, salads, homemade pastas, and entrees. The wine list consists of variation. This neighborhood gem is a must eat at."

  • "The Wooden Table consistently has good food & wine. Their mussels are outstanding. We've never been disappointed in anything we ordered. The service is also excellent. It seems to be a neighborhood type restaurant which is an enjoyable experience, given we live in downtown Denver."

  • "We had a group-on coupon and they were very accommodating AND welcoming. Our food was delicioso, one member of our group of 6 said that it was nice to be able to dine so elegantly without going downtown! I think we ate for 2 hrs straight! Our waitress was friendly and very helpful!!! The mozzarella appetizer was fab!!"

  • "We have been to this restaurant several times and it is always delicious. This time we had the red snapper and the duck confit pasta. In the past we have had the lamb sea scallops, duck and lobster. All the dishes have been special. I am particularly impressed with their pasta dishes which really stand out. We will be going back."

  • "The menu is limited, but excellent. We tried appetizers, salads, pasta, and entrees. The spinach salad with butternut squash and goat cheese had a wonderful collection of flavors. The red snapper was cooked perfectly."
