  • "We had a wonderful birthday celebration with our group of 11. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent with large portions- we got a little of everything- fish, crab cakes, duck, steak and everyone was happy with their meal. We brought our own cake and they brought it out with candles and cut it as well. I live out of state now and hadn't been to the Wishing Well in years- it was a great choice."

  • "We had a fantastic dinner on our first visit during restaurant week. Our waitress Kayleigh was a gem, I probably spelled her name wrong, sorry!!! Our dinners, apps, deserts were fabulous. Salmon for me with a great blood orange sauce that I wish was included with my leftovers!!! Next time I will be sure to ask them to. And stuffed porkchops for my husband. The owner thoughtfully sent us home with some extra corn bread when he saw how much we enjoyed this bread. He is right, goes great with coffee in the morning. We might not have gotten complementary bloody mary's or after dinner drinks like the table next to us but we did enjoy a fantastic dinner at a lovely table with a very talented waitress."

I had always wanted to return and when the opportunity arose to invite some colleagues from another company who had never been I took the chance this would again be an impressive decision. The service was perfect, we had wine by the fireplace to begin, then appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts. We were never rushed and everyone in our party was excited to enjoy such a wonderful place. Each of the couples have expressed a desire to return for a romantic dinner on their own. Thank you for remaining exceptional in the areas of service and quality, it has not gone unnoticed and will remain on the top of our list."

  • "It was our first visit; on a Saturday night, St. Patrick's weekend. We wanted to avoid the downtown crowds. The parking lot was full, but we got to our table about 10 minutes after arriving. Enjoyed a drink by the fire in the bar while waiting. It was full capacity but we could enjoy conversation . Service was prompt and quite friendly. The food was delicious. Pork chops, NY Steak, salmon."

  • "This app worked like a charm, arrived a few minutes early our table was being prepared so we had a quick drink at the bar with a adorable bartender and a great piano player. Had a great exotic meal, frog legs, escargot ect ... Very impressive . My husband ordered the prime rib I swear it was 2 inches think ... Insane . Just a great spot and a fun night !"

  • "We enjoyed the ambiance and the service was excellent,as usual, but the dinner left a lot to be desired. The lobster tails were excellent! But the choice of vegetable with it was not! The broccolini and shredded carrots were terrible. Not something you would expect to get with the lobster. Although the crab cakes were large, they were very doughy and had large pieces of crab, which was the only thing that saved this dish. The crab cakes had no flavor at all. Once again the broccolini and shredded carrots that went with it were not the best choice. The chicken parm and linguini were very good. We will definitely come again because we love your lobster tails. Hopefully, the choice of vegetables accompanying the meal will change."

  • "1st time to The Wishing Well restaurant. Had read good reviews and I can say I was truly impressed. The food was excellent, service was friendly and well worth the money. I had the whole lobster which was sweet and delicious and was removed from the shell before it was brought to the table. All that was left was to enjoy it. My wife had a stuffed lobster tail which was also delicious. The ambiance was pleasant, and would make for an excellent romantic evening. I will definitely return and The Wishing Well will become one of our new favourite spots. You will not be disappointed."

  • "This is our second time eating at the Wishing Well, where we go on special occasions when we're upstate. They're always eager to accommodate, bringing my lactose-intolerant husband fries instead of potatoes au gratin, and giving us the fireplace spot. Food is delicious, and we really enjoyed our choice of Merlot. Pro tip: Order the prix fixe menu -- it says you get smaller portions of their best-loved options, but these were definitely full size and extremely filling -- we had to take the dessert with us!"

  • "Food is always excellent here. But we won't do the "special occasion" meals next time. Instead we will stick to the regular menu. This stop was for Valentines Day, and they had a special VDay promotional meal for two. The food was tasty but expensive for what we received, especially compared with the regular menu choices. Also, the portion for two was a bit on the small side. As a guy, I could have enjoyed the entire entrée on my own. we will certainly be back, but not for this type of special."

We couldn't help that they were having a good time- but it would have been nice to have been seperated from them. They serve a 3-bean salad before your meal & it was delicious! My husband had the filet; he said it wasn't bad, but for the price it should have been much better. I had the lobster stuffed with crabmeat & cornbread; it was mostly cornbread. Again, should have been better for the price of it!"

  • "We'd driven past this restaurant for year but never gone in. Finally we went for dinner last Saturday night to celebrate our son's birthday. The food was great, the wine list extensive, and we loved the setting and feel of the place. The horse racing décor was, for us, a big plus. The staff was attentive (of course, it was a very slow night). It is not inexpensive, but it is worth it.   • "My boyfriend and I really enjoy fine dining and steak houses and due to him being in the Navy, we travel around a lot. I was very disappointed by my meal. I ordered the Steak Diane. I had never had a dish SO plated poorly. My cuts of meat were swimming in the sauce on the plate. It came with these additional sides on the plate not mentioned on the menu. Some sort of cheese sweet potato grit and fried zucchini pieces (which were were cold and tasted fish sticks). My cuts of meat had fat on them..which seemed odd for filet Mignon. I asked for rare and they served me medium rare with one side slightly burnt? I expected better cuts of meat and culinary style for the price I paid."
