  • "Great restaurant, great food, great staff. Wonderful experience celebrating anniversary. The staff aims to please. Really make you feel special. Pork Belly appetizer to die for! Bone in Filet Mignon incredible. Lobster Tail exquisite. Wow! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. Will be back."

  • "The service and the food were outstanding! We weren't bothered too often, but at the same time felt that we weren't forgotten about either. We will definitely go back. "

  • "It was an awesome experience. A friend of mine has a wine locker at the restaurant but I had never been myself and when myself and 2 clients I work with showed up we were given "'Star" treatment. The people working there were enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I would go back again for sure. The food was great as well and they had some unique dishes and beautiful presentation."

  • "Amazing food, service and experience! Pork belly lollipops! Bacon wrapped venison chop was delicious! Pricey but worth every it."

  • "This was my 3rd in a row experience with the Winery, after my first 2 was positive, this 3rd one was a big disappointment. I have a vegetarian eater in the family the veggie stack was tough, soggy and not flavorful. Our waitress was more attentive to the table next to us with frequent visits and follow-ups and when informed of our dining experience, she apologized. We ended up paying at the register rather than wait for her to pick up my credit card, then the hostess realized to call the manager over, manager apologized, and encouraged us to come back to make it up - I just wanted to get out of there. I still paid for the soggy veggie stack and left a tip - in hindsight probably shouldn't have."

  • "Took my wife for our anniversary and I can say without a doubt that is was the best service we have ever had at any restaurant. I have enjoyed the service at the Winery many times with coworkers and venders and felt like it would be a good place to go for an anniversary dinner, and the staff there did not disappoint. As for food, everything was wonderful and my wife can’t stop talking about the Jalapeño margarita and what we both decided was the best caprese salad we have ever had."

  • "Excellent filet mignon! It was cooked to perfection! Excellent wine choices and the server even offered a taste of two of the wines I was deciding between."

  • "This would be our third time going to the Winery. The prior two times went off without a glitch. This time was for our anniversary, I ordered the bone in rib eye and my wife the filet. They were both ordered medium rare which I would expect to be pink/red in the middle, both came out well done and the quality of my cut was very poor. We sent them back, and the next round came out. This time my wife's filet was done very nicely and I received the same thing as before, overdone and very poor cut of meat. All the while wondering if Landry's had taken over and ruined another fine restaurant. Other than that, the sides were delicious, and the service was spectacular, very disappointed in the quality of the rib eye."

  • "Everything was terrific! We were sat at our reservation time at the table we requested. The service was 5 star throughout the meal. Our food was wonderful and the menu had something great for every guest. We would suggest sitting outside on the patio if noise is a concern."

  • "This was our first visit and hopefully not last. The service was very attentive and not overbearing. The next time we are in town, we will definitely come back to this gem."

  • "Diner at the Winery on a Sunday evening had all the components you would expect in a fine dining experience. A table for two was waiting for us when we arrived for an on-time reservation. Through out the meal the service was professional and attentive, exactly as expected at a fine dining restaurant. The food was served hot and on hot plates, again as expected at a fine dinning restaurant. Both our entrees were tasty with good presentation. The wine suggested by the wait staff complemented the entree. Based on our experience we can recommend the Winery as a location for a truly fine dinning experience."

  • "This is one of the best restaurant in Irvine. Food is excellent, service is very good, and the decor is elegant but not luxurious (which is perfect for a "neighborhood gem"). Don't get me wrong you can have special occasions here as well and we do at times. Last time we went we had buffalo carpaccio to start and bone-in filets. Both were excellent although the steak was a tad salty. Decent wine selection but not great. If you like bordeaux's they have a limited or no supply of the best years (2000,2003,2005,2009,2010). Service is just right. Friendly and helpful staff. No overbearing staff who think they are the neighborhood comic. It does get loud at times so if you want a quiet romantic dinner, this may not be the best place."

  • "Good to very good food, great wine list, one should valet park since parking is jammed, very noisy."

  • "Let's start with the not so good. It was in the heart of a shopping district, not really romantic. They offer water to start with options of bottled or regular iced. Regular was just tap water, didn't taste good. Crispy almond dusted calamari was not so crispy. Almond flavor did not come through. Calamari was also over fried and tasted a bit greasy. Now the good... and there are many! Wine list is impressive and global. The organic quinoa beet salad has just the right blend of taste. Rack of lamb and duck "deux facons" were fabulously tender and absolutely perfect!!! Serving staff were excellent but not stuffy. We spent 2.5 hrs and did not feel rushed. Generous portions and exceptionally priced for a great French restaurant."

  • "Lunch at the Winery was "very good" because of the ambience, service and quality of the food. Lunch is somewhat expensive but a good location for a business lunch."

  • "Came here for restaurant week. However, the waiting killed our experience. We changed our reservation from 7:30pm to 8pm and they said it was not a problem. When we get there, we had to wait around 20 minutes. Got a text saying my table was ready but it was false alarm. Waited some more... The appetizers came pretty quickly, but there was a LOOOONG WAIT for the entrees, and another LOOONG wait for the dessert, and finally the check (normally, this is the one thing that comes quickly!!!!). Also, we were seated in one of the smaller rooms and our tables was so close to the table next to us our chairs kept bumping into each other and our waitress had to keep squeezing in between our chairs..."

  • "Intent was to order OC Restaurant Week 3 course dinner for $40.00; server Miguel referred us to regular menu. (He's thinking a bigger tip for him!) Almond dusted calamari/spicy aioli (12.95) yummy. Winery salad (9.95) nice flavors. Pork chop (34.95) dry/overcooked. Rack of lamb (37.95) perfection; reduction salty. Venison chop (47.95) bold flavors. Extensive wine list by bottle; limited selection by glass. Sommelier extremely competent. Server enthusiastic re menu; was "in our faces" expounding about his favorites throughout our experience. Lapses between courses. 3 staff members interrupted our conversation at different times. Desserts housemade, but unimaginative. Very noisy; not easy to converse. Time: 3 hrs & no dessert! Won't be back!"

  • "This was the best of our 2014 OC Restaurant Week visits. The first table was in the bar and far too noisy, but we were reseated and able to enjoy great food and attentive service. We'll return."

  • "Celebrated my 30th bday at The Winery. First time dining and will definitely return. Everything was spot on. A host asking if we'd like our wine decanted?! How awesome is that?! Manager, servers, somms all working in unison. Great menus, timely, well paced. Great communication. 10/10 Well done!!"

  • "Overall a wonderful experience. The service from the hostess to the bartender to waiters to the manager was stellar. The food was hearty, enjoyable, and beautifully presented - we had The Winery House Salad & Seared Rare Ahi Tuna, Brandt Cajun Flatiron Steak & Zinfandel Braised Angus Beef Shortrib, and Cheesecake & Sorbet -all very good. I will say the avocado eggroll I got with my ahi tuna, and the edible almond bowl the sorbet came in was a nice surprise. The ambiance was nice, well lit in the right places and not distracting. I'm interested in coming back for Crush Hour. Thanks for a wonderful evening."

  • "Excellent food, wine and magnificent service! Th menu is great, he wine list is amazing, but the specials are even better and the latest wines that haven't even made the wine list are always worth a try. The owners and their team demonstrate their passion every visit! Wow! Can't recommend enough! They never disappoint!"

  • "Our dining experience was relaxing and quiet. I went online to make a reservation with Open Table. In the comment section I put (not in the middle of the dining area and a quiet place) The winery delivered. It was perfect. The food, service and ambience was great. Would definitely have dinner there again."

  • "Good place. Table for two is very small, but you can ahead and ask for a booth, which is very spacious and much nicer. A little too loud for a romantic dinner (as dining and bar area are together), but great menu and wine list. Good atmosphere if you are out for drinks/dinner with colleagues/friends/clients."

  • "Food was on point. We had the daily special sea bass and the bacon-wrapped elk. Sea bass was perfectly cooked and sauce was excellent. Elk was good but paled by comparison. Extensive wine list. Very friendly staff; waiters and bussers. Nice, quiet, potentially romantic spot (I always go with my kids so I'm guessing here, haha) with live music on weekends. Not stuffy at all."

  • "I recently dined here with my husband, son and elderly father. Wow! So glad we finally ate at The Winery! The food and drinks were fabulous! Annie was our waitress and she was outstanding! Annie was very patient with my father and made our dining experience even better! We sat in the semi private dinning room and loved it!"
