"Restaurant is understaffed. Our server was competent and courteous -- but we had to wait too long for initial contact, for drinks, etc because she was covering two tables of 8 or more and at least 4 tables of 2-4. Food was quite good but not memorable."

"Our party of 6 included a toddler up past her usual bedtime. Our server went out of her way to make our evening enjoyable by providing quick service of bread and the toddler's meal to keep her happy. We all enjoyed our tasty meals including the prime rib, steak and mixed grill; carrot cake for dessert was outstanding. We felt that the prices were more reasonable than other Whistler restaurants of similar quality and atmosphere."

"The Valentine's Day Special was our choice. The beef was done to a turn, the service was timely and unobtrusive. The mushroom soup was excellent, the pear and walnut salad tasty albeit short on the pears, and the veggies adequate. The chocolate dessert buffet was too much of a good thing - didn't find anything not to our liking (except running out of stomach room too soon). The pinot gris was quite nice but overpriced. Overall a good choice for a special occasion."

"This restaurant is never a disappointment. i have been coming for a number of years and have always come away with a good feeling about the whole dining experience. I have even seen the same servers who wait on tables and they seem to enjoy doing their job."

"Always like the Wildflower and this was no exception. Walk through the evening snow to the warmth and welcome of the Chateau , busy happening bar scene looking out to the mountain and then the quiet, friendly but not too friendly service at the Wildflower . Good food , pâté, chicken and ling cod not exceptional but well executed , great wines , comfortable chairs and a wonderful view. This is a room to relax ,to enjoy and you can hear ! Will be back."

"Fairmont Chateau Whistler is one of the top hotels in Blackcomb Whistler, and we had high expectation on Wildflower. The menu selection was good, and it was a nice touch to have a separate menu for gluten free and healthier alternatives. However, it took forever before the server first came to take our orders. And we waited forever (probably for over an hour) between our appetizer and our entree. The server made no attempt to stop by to explain or apologize on the long wait. When the food came out, they seemed to be overcooked. The prime rib was tasty, but medium rare was more like medium well. The ciopinno was nice in flavor, but the seafood were all overcooked. We were disappointed at both the service and the food."
