  • "If you want to celebrate a special occasion, the brunch here is superb. The room and table settings match the Victorian decor, and the wait staff is attentive, making sure your mimosas, bloody marys or magaritas that are included in the brunch never go empty. There is live piano music in the background and soft lighting all around. The brunch itself is sumptuous, seafood in abundance and an assortment of regular breakfast items. There is a crepe bar for dessert or many other treats if you don't like crepes. It is well worth the price and is now on our list of "special" places for special occasions."

  • "For $45 you get a buffet full of incredible seafood meat and breakfast foods. Not only that but all you can drink champagne mimosas Bloody Mary's margarita's tequila shots vodka with a variety of juices. Get there at ten and it runs until two. Definitely worth the money."

  • "Although the price tag was hefty ($52 adults and $29 kids) for Sunday brunch, everything was wonderful. I particularly enjoyed that the chafing dish foods were in individual dishes so it looked (as well as tasted) fabulous. My favorite foods were the mac-n-cheese on top of a short rib, the chocolate croissants, the fresh made crepes and the chocolate fountain (with high quality chocolate). I also liked that margaritas and bloody marys were included as well as champagne. If you do not like seafood, you may find this buffet a little limited - there were other options, but it was very heavy on seafood. It also does not include sparkling cider if you want that as a champagne alternative."

  • "I have been to the West Gate brunch several times before but this time it was very special. First time for my husband and toddler son! The service was great and so kid friendly it made us feel very welcomed. It is hard to find such an elegant restaurant that works for parents of young, very active kids and Le Fountainebleau Room was just perfect!!"

  • "My family brought me here for the Mother's Day buffet. I read the reviews and so my expectations were high. The place lived up to all the great reviews. Service was outstanding from the moment we arrived. Staff went above and beyond to get whatever was needed. I asked if they had non fat milk because most places don't have it. Our server said not to worry and he would get it. Someone asked for syrup even though there were no dishes that required it. Another server told her they would make it. Although not as large as Humphries, the offerings were filled with high quality seafood, meat and pastries. We will definitely return regardless of the added incentiveof a $25 voucher. Highly recommend elegant venue for special occasions. "

  • "This was an amazing brunch! It pretty much had everything under the sun to eat, but the only item I wish they had was Martinelli's sparkling cider. My husband and I do not drink champagne, but I was hoping the would have an alternative for us to drink, such as Martinelli's. I thought they might have it since it was a kid-friendly Easter brunch, but everything else was amazing!! It was a fun, special Easter brunch experience. "

  • "It has become a tradition for the past 5 yrs. To celebrate Easter Sunday at the Westgate Hotel Sunday Brunch & le Fountainebleau room. My family of 5 comeout each year with love to these occasion my wife and me with the food my children with the person who makes them the balloons and tattoos. But this year I have to say the service we had two person that made our experience so wonderful and their names are Fernando Turrubiartes and Adrian Reyes would like to extended our gratitude. Thanks and will be back"

  • "Actually....we had such a relaxing time (with THREE small kids none the less!) that we decided to stay the night and booked two adjoining rooms. The food....and not just the brunch....is fairly priced. Not the over charged hog wash most hotel eateries lay on you. The food was always hot, fresh, and top of the line. It's not a s big as the Del's brunch...but it's not as "busy" feeling and you never have to wait for a champagne refill.....and the hotel smells like primrose. The decor is beautiful...just amazing. I'd call it eclectic antique European with a very French feel. Everything is clean and well run. It's very much family owned....you can see the pride people have in their hotel and working there. "

There is such a wide range of food that I don't imagine anyone capable of trying everything unless the portions were shared. The food ranges from breakfast to "dinner" items. Amazing friendly service, fresh and tasty food, and bottomless drinks. What more can you ask for?"

  • "I had read some reviews that said food was not hot. Well everything we had was great. Loved that most items are already individual. Either in a ramekin or small plates. We were in a room with another large group but we only heard the singing of happy birthday which our table joined in as it was my birthday. The staff was accommodating food was great.   • "Regardless if it was towards the end of the service, service should not deteriorate and become borderline rude. People were still in the buffet line but our waiter had checedk out. We had to repeatedly ask the waiter to bring coffee, or water, or bread. He spilled creamer on the floor 1 foot from our table. Rather than take a cloth and gracefully remove the pooled liquid, he took his foot and rubbed it into the carpet! His impatience with his customers was obvious on his face as he never smiled. His whole attitude oozed irritation with the people making requests from him. I still love the Westgate for brunch. I guess i will just need to make sure that I arrive towards the beginning of service when the wait staff is fresh."

  • "We heard the Sunday brunch was fantastic, not today. Over all the experience was just ok, should have been much better for the price and location. Our issues were.... The food was not at the right temperature. Hot needs to be hot and cold needs to be cold. This is just good restaurant protocol. This needs to be improved. ....After the fact we found out that they have a wonderful cheese serving trays that were never offered to us, and bread service... Hum.... Not sure why this was not offered. Overall the brunch was ok... In closing they did mention that they had many people extra guests today over their normal seating of 125. Maybe they were not prepared to manage a larger group. A private note will be sent"

  • "First of all, the Westgate is beautiful. In the lobby, there was a wonderful harpist who entertained people in the hotel. Brunch is on the second floor, and the spread is top notch. Champagne and caviar! Fantastic small plates with big flavor! Bloody Mary's were huge and made perfectly. Server was so nice, but a little ditzy... But she made us feel comfortable in such a fancy place. Live piano set the mood. Highly recommend... Perfect for special occasions."

  • "Our family does Sunday brunch each year. This was our first try with The Westgate. The service wasEXCELLENT! Very attentive and amiable. The food selection was nice. I like the individual servings, however the ramekins can get a bit overwhelming. The main issue was the food temp...the hot food was in general, luke warm to cool. May or May not try again. The value was good and selection of drinks nice and we loved the juice bar."

  • "The lamb was absolutely raw and not eatable, chicken was dry, Wellington pate was not tasty, grilled cold vegetables were not cooked enough and tasteless, salads were not interesting and there were no dressing to make up your own, fruits include only small pieces of melon, watermelon and smth. else , but they were of a very bad quality and very few. The cheeses were average, caviar too salty, deserts too sweet except for passion fruit desert which was the best at this brunch:-) .I should say that this brunch is mostly for those who likes fish and sea food. Unfortunately I do not belong to them and for me the variety of meat dishes and vegetables and fruits unfortunately was very poor not only in quantity but in quality as well."

  • "While the slicing station meets, desserts and crepe table where excellent,we found that most of the delicious looking hot hordeorves were borderline cold. Also they had displayed lovely sushi items, many were not on ice. They had an extensive omelet bar we didn't try. We waited for a freshly made bennidict. It was served cold. The caviar table was pefectly displayed with gorgeous caviar fixings. The crab claws were nice but difficult to finish cracking open. The service was decent even though they seemed slightly under staffed. I'd go again, but arrive earlier in hopes that the hot dishes would be hot. We sat at noon."

  • "We went to the Westgate hotel for their Christmas Brunch this year. Our waiter came by and filled our water glass and disappeared and never came back. We had to ask the head waiter to change our waiter just so we can put in our drink order 30 minutes after we were seated. For $70.00 pp I expected better service than that. the rooms were over packed with tables making walking around difficult. The food was ok. nothing fancy. they keep running out of stuff. the carving station always had a long line. took my husband 20 minutes to wait for their roast beef. the chocolate fountain was a mess. who in their right mind will use a white tablecloth for a chocolate fountain? Humphrey's brunch is a much better bet for the same price."

  • "We were disappointed in the quality and selection of the food offered in the buffet. Plus, at the cost of $69 per person, there was no Champagne or any cocktails or wine included...just non-alcoholic beverages. We opted to purchase a bottle of Champagne and had to wait for the bottle to come and then waited 25 minutes for an ice bucket to keep it cold. The food was pretty much low end from start to finish. In particular, we found the carved meats and other hot foods lacking in quality. The desserts were awful."

  • "Went here for the Christmas Day brunch. Some of the food was excellent and some was just ok. I think the less desirable dishes like the venison and chicken sat out for a long time. Huge assortment to choose from. The atmosphere was very nice and classy. The service started out excellent, then kind of went downhill. We were not asked if we wanted more drinks, did not get silverware when ours was taken, had to flag down the waiter to get coffee and tea, and had to ask for cream for the coffee. On the other hand, one of the managers (?) named Rocky stopped by our table and chatted for a while. He was very pleasant and gave us more information about the hotel and brunch/dinners. Very personable."

  • "Been there for brunch many times and the food has always been excellent. Had my mother's 80th birthday there too. Christmas buffet was not very good. They served venison (really, who eats this anyway!) it looked horrible, prime rib was ok, everything else was some kind of fish. There was ONE tray of mixed vegetables that had way too much garlic. They did have something that was suppose to be ribs, but looked like all bones. They did not even include a mimosa, had to pay extra over the $69 price. Had one little cheese tray, but you had to cut it yourself, and no knife. They had a small plate with about 25 small pieces of fresh fruit. Sad to see this place go downhill."

Coffee was luke warm, desserts were ok. Seafood was good but not great. Best part of the visit was the photo opportunity with the Christmas trees."

  • "The Westgate is a very nice hotel and the service staff very attentive and friendly, but not too friendly. Food in the buffet warming trays was overlooked and dry. Likely cooked too early and then kept warm for too long. The seafood selection was surprisingly good; sushi, oysters, ceviche, shrimp were all good. Carved meats, prime rib and turkey, also were very good. I'm not a big dessert eater but my family is and I didn't hear much gushing over how good these were. I did have a fresh banana crepe that was a great finish to the meal."

  • "Unfortunately the food was a disappointment. Presentation was very nice looking but the fish was overdone, the individual beef Wellington was tasteless and dry and the macaroons were not right at all. The sushi was good and the omelet was perfect. Ambiance was nice but we sat too close to the piano and it was so loud we could only have conversations away from the table."
