  • "We visited The Vineyard Wine Bar last year with friends and were very impressed. When cruise friends from York, PA wanted a suggestion of a place to meet up with good wine, food, and service, there wasn't a seconds hesitation in recommending The Vineyard Wine Bar. This year we again selected the same local wine, but tried some other offerings off the menu. The salads and flat breads were just excellent. Presentation is just unbelievable. The service was the same superior level as the wine and food. You will have to really look to find a better place for wine, food, service and atmosphere. I would think it prudent to make a reservation to avoid disappointment."

  • "Had a very good meal at the Vineyard Wine Bar. Our server, Brandi, was helpful and knowledgeable. There were so many wines to pick from, I am glad that they served 3 oz tastings, so we ordered 8 of those and got to sample some wines that we wouldn't normally order. I am a vegan, so I had two salads to choose from. There were no appetizers, desserts or entrees that were vegan, and there is a note on the menu saying that the chef will not make substitutions, so I didn't attempt to try to order anything that wasn't on the menu. My friend had an appetizer, entree and dessert that were beautifully presented and he said they were were delicious. We also got on the waiting list for the wine club and we'll definitely be coming back."

  • "Absolutely fantastic meal - wouldn't have changed anything about the meal or the wine."

  • "We love The Vineyard Wine Bar. My husband's mother lives in HDG and we like to periodically take her to dinner. HDG has many fine restaurants, but in our view, The Vineyard is the best. The food is outstanding, carefully prepared and delightful to partake. Incdredibly delicious. The portions are quite small, however, for what you will pay. Extensive wine menu."

  • "We took a 40 minute drive on the recommendation of a friend..and defiantly worth the drive! The wine list is unbelievabl and everyone enjoyed there food! No one left unhappy!"

  • "We had another excellent meal. Meat, some of us had lamb and others filet mignon, was perfectly grilled to warm rare. It is important to note for those who have not dined at the Vineyard that the portions are small which I enjoy. However, it is not what everyone expects particularly in this time of excessive portions. Service was very attentive but not intrusive. The restaurant focuses on being a wine bar and has the feel of a cozy neighborhood establishment."

  • "Went for lunch with a group of nine. Staff was very accommodating and attentive. We were in wine room with couches, easy chair and padded stools - very relaxing. Flatbreads and salads were excellent as well as wine selection and presentation. Definitely will return when in the area."

  • "The food selection, service, ambiance, friendly staff, and wine/beer selections make this a great place to frequent. One of our favorite places to eat and socialize."

  • "My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. We had a wonderfully romantic lunch served to us by a wonderful young lady, Brandy. We ate gourmet food, sipped great wine, listened to smooth jazz coming through the speakers, and were educated on wine's ins and outs. We spent over 2 hours there and could've spent more due to the European style seating. Incredible atmosphere. Intimate. Perfect for our day date."

  • "This was my second time at this resturant, and once again everything was fantastic. The food was great! Huge wine list, and the wine is also very good. I recommend that you try this resturant right away!"

  • "We were a party of 4 last Sat night. The restaurant was crowded when we arrived. We were seated as soon as i gave the hostess my name. I made the reservation 30 minutes prior to arriving. So glad i did. Dinner was great. i will however say that the table we were seated at was too small for 4 of us. Table top was too small for drinks and plates for a party of 4. "

  • "You might think Havre de Grace is a sleepy little town but this place would make you think twice. The place was crowded for Sunday dinner. An extensive wine list and tasty tapas plates. There's an adjoining lounge if you want to stay and continue enjoying wine and conversation it's all hard surfaces though so it tends to get pretty noisy the night we were there it was crowded and with only two servers they seemed tired but managed to keep up"

  • "We live in Washington Dc and Havre de Grace -- and the Vineyard is the best restaurant we frequent. On this last Friday night it was buzzing and overflowing, but the service and quality of food remained excellent. We had been the the Vineyard the week before and enjoyed Joe's class on Loire and Champagne -- which is an extraordinary effort to "go round the world" over a two year period to teach wine. The unique thing about Le Vineyard is you can taste the wine (small glasses), compared different wines and vintages, have a great meal meal and "take out" bottles of the wine . And the price is reasonable. Also, very romantic and a great place for mother's day. Never disappointing! First place in Maryland and DC in my view. "

  • "We've never seen such a wonderful wine list, even at other wine bars. The food is delicious, small-plate idea works great with the wine tasters. This is our favorite restaurant when we want something special."

  • "They have the most thoughtful wine list, and with the tasting sized glasses, was able to drink plenty of different wines while not getting "toasted". Wonderful food pairings and cheese plates. Attentive relational non-annoying wait staff"

  • "I went here for a friend's birthday, and we all enjoyed the large wine selection. The food is tapas-style, and the food was delicious. We shared two flatbreads (cajun and pulled pork) as well as an antipasti platter and a baked brie. For three people, this was ok, but definitely not filling. Overall, it was a bit pricey, but this would be a good place for a special occasion."

  • "Want to try something different for a change then go to the Vineyard Wine Bar. Nice selection of wines and beer along with new small plates of things to try. Restaurant is small and seemed to have just one service per table per night so you can make a night of it. Reservations a must from what we saw."

  • "I usually won't write a review unless I've been to a place a few times because I don't want to base my judgement on a fluke, but in this case I don't think the Vineyard was this good by chance. The wine list is fantastic (If you want to pay $50 or more for a bottle - don't come here) all of the wine is available by the bottle/glass/taste and all very reasonable and very good. Our server was right there when we sat down and always checking at the appropriate times with a smile and a great attitude. Salads and flat breads were fresh and excellent. Our main courses (both fish) were also excellent. We drove an hour and 15 minutes to get there - well worth the trip. Will go back."

  • "This lovely little restaurant is hidden away in Havre de Grace. It has wonderful food, a pleasant ambience and very decent service. It's a great place to go when visiting with friends. Nobody hurries you, and staff makes you comfortable even after you've finished your meal."

  • "We love this restaurant - such a breath of fresh air in our area. The wine list is certainly notable, and the service is always superb. My only complaint is that it is a little expensive for what you get. We tend to spend a lot more than we would for a full meal, yet we only get wine and small plates. The food and wine is outstanding, but usually we spend A LOT and leave kind of hungry:-) Regardless, we will go back time and time again to this unique hot spot."

  • "The menu is as diverse as it is delicious: you can enjoy a smorgasbord without feeling stuffed! There are about eighty wines by the bottle, glass or taste, so you are bound to find one or more that you will love. This place came highly recommended and now I know why!"

  • "What a wonderful evening! We visited on Valentine's Day and can't wait to return. I love their concept of no congregating. You will never see people standing/crowding the bar or the entrance waiting for a seat, because once a seat is reserved it is not allowed to be re-reserved later. The wine list is amazing and the staff extremely knowledgable to help diners with their selections."

  • "My fiancé and I have been here twice and each time we found new reasons to love it. The butter salad was light and read reaching, our waitress was absolutely fantastic, the wine selection always amazes us as well. The staff was friendly and energetic as well as knowledgeable in the various wines. My fiancé and I have both served in the food industry in years and The Vineyard has the best customer service. We plan to continue to make this a regular date night spot!"

  • "The food and wine list here are wonderful. The plates are really tapas style so you can mix courses easily. My only complaint is the size of the table. They are more on the cramped side of cozy, which makes service a juggling act. Despite that I highly recommend it."

  • "I found this place by its highly rated reviews on yelp. The reviews were spot on. The wine list was extensive. The staff was knowledgeable about the food and wine. Which was great for my boyfriend and I because we don't know very much when it comes to wine. All the food was excellent. We got the Bibb Salad, Cesar Salad, Cajun Flatbread to share. My date got the Salmon Wellington and I, the Ahi Tuna. I would definitely get any of these dishes again. We already have made plans to go back. One word of advice, the bar area is slightly laid back, I do wish we would have requested the lounge area which has much more of a quite, romantic setting."

  • "Wine selections to make everyone happy, thoughtful and delicious plates of food, outstanding service, relaxed atmosphere, and an evening with our adult children - it doesn't get any better than this! It is becoming a tradition for our family and we look forward to each visit."

  • "Impressive by the glass list. I was focused of full body reds. There were around 20 of these to choose from. Lots of white and light reds as well. You can do a glass, bottle, or 3 oz. Assortment of small plates make this a great experience. Our server was knowledgeable about the wines offered and was able to make good suggestions. Kitchen very accommodating about my cheese aversion. Can't wait to go back."

  • "You've got great tapas, wine & cheese plates options at this handy downtown spot... The location is cozy but maybe just right and has tables, a bar & couches so you can choose the atmosphere to suit the occasion. Food selection is broad enough to service most pallets, plentiful and well above average. Service was excellent, prompt and accurate and the price was definitely fair for such a pleasant experience. We were a work group but the shop is great for a small tight group gathering...I'll be back!"

  • "We find this restaurant to be a perfect place to sit down with our adult children to meet and get caught up. Our boys both appreciate a nice bottle of wine, and the setting is relaxed and welcoming. We have our favorites on the menu, so it has become almost a tradition to start with a flatbread or two, and treat the menu as it was constructed - small bites and tapas. They have a lengthy and interesting wine list, each and every menu item we have tried has been thoughtfully developed, and quite tasty. We happen to enjoy their wine ice cream - very nicely done. Service has always been spot on - knowledgeable, friendly, and respectful of our relaxed pace. We do suggest you check the menu on line - it's great but different."

  • "A smaller restaurant with a romantic, slower pace, comfortable feel. Excellent and very knowledgeable service. The food is smaller portions with fantastic flavor. A salad, flatbread and a main dish is just the right amount of food. Many, many wines to choose from for all food choices. Definitely recommend this restaurant for wine lovers or just for a quiet, change of pace, dining experience."
