The VineBeyond what we expectedWe had our 43rd anniversary dinner at the Vine. The food was fabulous.....7 course meal with wine pairing for 4 of the courses in a very intimate setting overlooking the pool and apple orchard. The beautiful open kitchen area allows you to watch the chef prepare your meal and then he serves each course to you and explains the ingredients, preparation, etc. A server brought our 4 different wines to us with an explanation about each.
And the food!!! How do you explain it...........meat (my husband had game hen and I had lamb chops) were cooked to perfection. Various other unusual foods for the courses.............all plated beautifully. Well worth the nearly $200 bill (includes wine, tip, etc.). Will be going back again.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMThe VineDelicious 7course dinner in thoroughly delightful, intimate b&b setting. Expertly prepared dishes, creative presentation, awesome service from chef Nathan. Perfect for celebrating our anniversary. Thank you!6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMDining at its finestThe chef here does an outstanding job. The personalized attention is what makes it really special. The recommendations were helpful and the wait staff (the owners Alan And Deanna) are more than accommodating. Worth the drive if you are from the area or out of town.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMHighly recommended!Everyone should go to The Vine for that special occasion or just for a quiet evening out! The food presentation, flavors and wine parings were unequaled. We have recommended it to everyone we have seen and will be back many more times!!!5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWorld class dinnerWe enjoyed the chef's incredible meals so much we cancelled our second night reservation in town and dined at The Vine two nights in a row. Two of the best meals we have ever had! Attention to detail is amazing.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMRead the reviewsIt was graduation weekend at Whitman College, so reservations we difficult to find. The reviews on OpenTable led us to The Vine. Start to finish, it was a wonderful meal. The range of food, the ambience, the setting . . . it was exactly what we were looking for after a day of wine tasting.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was excellent. RomanticFood was excellent. The dining is comparable to best white tablecloth restaurant
The country setting is priceless5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMRoom with a viewExcellent food, beautiful presentation, lovely view, friendly chef, and he had hiked the Appalachian Trail in NC, my birth state!5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMIncredible!Every course was beyond what we had expected!! Don't be afraid of the drive. Only takes 30 minutes from Hermiston. I am sure Walla Walla and The Tri Cities would take even less time to get there. Well worth it!5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding. A Gem in theOutstanding. A Gem in the desert of Southeast Washington. Food was Fantastic, Service was perfect and the ambiance was great. Owner, Chef and Server were all engaging,, but they let you engage them.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe waited too long to makeWe waited too long to make dinner reservations for Cayuse weekend this year and found this restaurant with availability on OpenTable. What a find!! Even though its 25 mi. out of town, it is worth every minute. The dining room has six tables in an open dining/kitchen area. Everything is so intimate and absolutely gorgeous. You know you've got a great chef when you want to stop at the appetizers and just order 5 more for dinner!! The owners and the chef were so very personable and friendly. Mike gave us a tour of the amazing mansion after dinner (all 7 suites were booked but you can view them online), including entertainment level and pool. A TRULY MEMORABLE, REPEATABLE EXPERIENCE!! Limo service and wine tours available, too!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a very nice quiet dinnerHad a very nice quiet dinner the food was great, service was very good. Seating is nice there are only 6 tables for four each, but that makes it a more intimate setting. You can choose from a 3 course meal plus the chef brings out a couple more little taste creations. Price for the full course meal is $60, if you want to pair wine with each course add $20, or they will price out entree's. I would recommend the Vine and Chef Nathan Carlson, very nice.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food & great atmosphere! My husband and I had 2 great dinners while staying at the Cameo Heights Mansion. The atmosphere is very romantic & comfortable. Also the chef (Nathan) was awesome. He was very friendly and the food tasted amazing. My husbands favorite course was the smoked salmon chowder!3/6/2013 12:00:00 AM
