Diner Reviews
  • "Went with 2 friends (one from out-of-town) for lunch. The decor is lovely, and there is a beautiful outdoor setting as well. So nice to dine at a restaurant where you can carry on a conversation without straining to hear what your friend is saying. And the food was very good. I had a delicious piece of salmon, one had pasta, and the other had a grilled vegetable plate. And the dessert was wonderful too. Will come back."

  • "The location was unexpected. Great ambiance. But the food was just about average. The server Tatiana was ver nice and professional."

  • "We had a wonderful time. The service was friendly and attentive. All of our meals were tasty, served together and the filet properly cooked! We would definitely go back."

  • "The villa has a gorgeous intimate secret garden. I've only sat outside because it is so serene. Throughout my meal I never felt rushed by the staff . The food was extremely good and the prices were extremely reasonable ! My favorite was definitely the desserts! A hidden gem and a must go to !!"

  • "We recently celebrated my husband's birthday at The Villa. The outside table was chosen as we dined early enough so our choice was not an issue. We actually were celebrating a double birthday, however the birthday boys didn't want singing or dancing HA. I think for the amount of $ spent, a small acknowledgement of a special occasion would have been kind. That was the only con, the food was wonderful, however I felt hungry after the entree' I had chosen, butternut squash ravioli. The portion was very small."

  • "The restaurant is beautiful and the patio has a nice relaxed vibe. The brunch food menu is average but would definitely return to try their dinner menu or just for drinks on the patio. A nice place to go in the valley."

  • "Romantic outdoor dining, impeccable service, great food, need I say more?"

  • "Food (for as long as I can remember) has been consistent and good. It may not have the finish of stronger chef inspired restaurants in the city, but it is consistent and not dissapointing. What sells this place is the outdoor patio and indoor ambience. Absolutely beautiful with great service to match."

  • "I saw this restaurant on Keeping Up w/ the Kardashians and loved the patio decor/ambiance so I made a reservation for my husband's birthday dinner. Though we could not be seated outdoors because of rain, we were not disappointed. I had the crab cake appetizer. I usually don't share food, but had to have him taste the crabcake as we both agreed it's the only place we've gone where the crab cakes were better than mine. Our server was friendly, personalble, on point and did a great job helping me deternine a main course. We will definitely return, but to be seated outside."

  • "Came here for my 15 year wedding Anniversary. . Since it was my first time here I wanted to try a little bit of everything.. started with the caramelized brussels sprouts & the prosciutto flatbread , followed by the roasted duck and the filet mignon steak.. All the food was flavorful and amazing.. and to top it also had the chocolate lava cake.. Would definitely recommend to bring a special date or a loved one."

  • "Waitress acknowledge that food was very very slow coming out, but also demonstrated that she did not care. Made an excuse that this was the day after Valentine's Day and therefore they were especially busy (but there were empty tables in our section). Food was good, but not good enough to tolerate the dreadful service."

  • "Horrible. Food took 1 HOUR! Burned the appetizer. POOR POOR SERVICE."

  • "They did not have some of the food that I wanted probably because it was a day after valentines but I still think restaurants shouldn't run out of their food but the place was wonderful and service was great I also loved the outside rustic look I would totally recommend this restaurant to a friend or family that would go on a date"

  • "I had made a prior reservation via the app OpenTable for my boyfriend and I on Valentines day. There is vale but we found a good amount of parking in the neighborhood. The ambiance of this restaurant is so cute and romantic. I recommend it to loving couples. The food was spectacular! It was a prefixed menu this night but we peeped at the regular menu at the end of our meal and decided to definitely come back for more. Thank you The Villa! Our special night went wonderful."

  • "A bit over priced for the Valentines Day Dinner menu. Extra charges seemed a bit too much."

  • "The food was good and the help (hostess, servers) were very friendly. Although the outdoor patio is beautiful, the ambiance inside the restaurant needs to improve. It is very nosy inside--booths too close together. I would recommend it for the food, but it is not a "special" place to go for dinner."

  • "Quiet restaurant, feels like you are at home. Service was good. My favorite item was the brussel sprout appetizer. I had the fish as an entree, though it was delicious, I think it was overpriced."

  • "Have been going to the Villa for years now. Wonderfully updated space, great service but the food is very, very inconsistent. Unfortunately the chef(s) seem never to last long and so the food is really great for a couple of months and then become less than average. With that said, its worth a shot as its the only upscale restaurant in the West Valley where you can hold a conversation and, the patio can't be beat in the summer."

  • "This used to be Villa Piacere. The service and food is much better now that it is "The Villa" with new ownership I presume. I especially like that they are trying to use organic and local food."

  • "Upon entry, the place was very nice and had a quiet atmosphere which was good since we came by to celebrate a birthday dinner. The server was friendly and the other helpers were also very attentive and friendly. The dinner was good, we had the chicken and steak and a delicious appetizer platter. The soft music and warm setting made the evening a very nice experience."

  • "My wife and I were married at the Villa four years ago when it was called Villa Piacere (it is a terrific place for a wedding). We have eaten there on our anniversary ever since and this was the best dining experience we've had there so far. The waitress was very helpful and the food was excellent. I had the roast duck and my wife had the lamb shank. The only down side was the wait for our table, even though we had reservations. The 20 minutes was made more tolerable by an attentive and entertaining bartender. The wine list looked fairly extensive, but we brought our own bottle and paid the $15 corkage. The atmosphere is upscale casual with both indoor and outdoor tables, with a lively but not overly noisy ambiance."

  • "Met some friends here for a Christmas celebration dinner. Have been here many times in prior years when it was Piacere. The set up is almost the same, the food was excellent....lots of choices...something for everyone. It was decorated for the holidays and looked beautiful. Our server was attentive and very pleasant. The noise level was pretty high, but it was Saturday night at 7 pm so the restaurant was crowded, I could still hear everyone and carry on a conversation without having to yell....which is sometimes what happens in some of those uber noisy trendy places. All in all, a great choice and will be happy to return there."

  • "I have been to The Villa several times before and enjoyed my meal. Unfortunately this time, the food was awful. I ordered the duck and asked for it extra, extra crispy. The first time it was brought to me, the skin was limp and unappealing. I sent it back. When it came a second time, it didn't look as if they even put it under the broiler. The skin was flaccid. When I stuck my fork into it, it was droopy and flabby; just awful. So I said forget the duck. How about the crab cake appitizer. I'd had it before and was pleased with it. When it came, it was tepid and undercooked. I finally just ate a ceasar salad. OMG what a waste."

  • "First, I have to say that I really love this restaurant and I'm happy to see that they are doing a fine business. The atmosphere is lovely, the food is delicious and the service is very good. However, last Saturday evening's experience was less than stellar. Our bartender was very nice...however he had just enough Bombay Sapphire to make us two tiny martinis. I actually saw him switch out the larger martini glasses he was planning on using for smaller ones. What? We would have rather been offered a different type of gin and have proper cocktails. Our meals were delightful and so was our server. But, they seemed so short-staffed and very rushed. Servers kept on bumping into my chair as they hurried around. I hope they take note of this!"

  • "My girlfriend from Texas and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner with the perfect ambience at The Villa. It was my first time but her second and we just sat and relaxed in the beautiful atmosphere enjoying wonderful food, wine and the pleasure of having girl talk. We had one negative experience with our ravioli being served cold but the wait staff and chefs quickly remedied the situation and brought us another plate within minutes that was just perfect."

  • "This is the perfect luncheon setting if you want to have peace and quiet in order to carry on a friendly conversation with your friends. The patio was perfect - we had to ask to turn down the music, but then we had no problem at all. As the afternoon went on it cooled down, so we asked the waiter to turn on the heaters too. They were very accommodating and allowed us to stay way past the lunch crowd had left. Soup was listed on the menu, but that day the chef had decided not to make any! Otherwise, food choices were satisfactory. Our server kept us filled with beverages and was attentive to our needs. I would say this is a great place if the weather is nice and you like patio dining."

  • "Went here to celebrate our engagement. Just the two of is on a Tuesday night at 7. It was mostly empty, parking was smooth and we had no problem getting a table, though obviously we made a reservation ahead of time. Lovely ambience, good service and food. We ordered small plates to share, the calamari and shrimp (a bit chewy for our taste), crab cake (delicious) and proscuto, dig and basil flatbread (of which they forgot the meat). Three drinks later we were out the door for a 100 bucks. Overall, not bad and worth it for the experience."
