A fantasitc 'must have' experience during any NYC visit. Incredible views, brilliant views and exceptional service from our waiter Antonio. The Brunch menu consisted of beautiful dishes from maple smoked bacon to fillet steak, and lobster shooters to a chocolate fountain. Drinks were replenished frequently throughout the sitting. A perfect way to spend a couple of hours in the Big Apple.

I`ve been to some spectacular restaurants in the world before but mostly the cuisine wasn't as good as e.g. the panorama etc. So I didn't expect too much from the meals but I was pleasantly surprised! :-) The foie gras was perfect, the steak maybe was a little bit too dry but the dessert (something lemon ?) was fine again. The wine list was not extensive but offered wines from the most important areas in the world - the Sauvignon blanc from Marlborough/New Zealand I had chosen was excellent! And I am still enthusiastic about the service - it was simply outstanding: friendly, attentive, patient and competent! The fact that later the chef de cuisine offered to give us a tour round the kitchen was one of the highlights of my trip to NYC!

Even for New York, this place is expensive. It's clear that only out of towners go here, and they've figured out that most tourists will pay anything since they just assume everything in NY is pricey. But, no prices on the menus? Really? Food is merely ok, very forgettable, and the place looks like the secondary dining room of a cruise ship. But, the view is great. Had a very friendly waiter who was very patient with some obnoxious guests at the next table. He was the most enjoyable part of the visit. Stop up for a drink, look around, and eat elsewhere.

This was a special occasion, 95th Birthday Dinner for my Mother and it could not have been better. All the staff beginning with the valet parking, elevator starter, receptionists, managers, and waiters were courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We were thrilled with the choices, preparation presentation and tastes of our 3-course, pre fixe meals. There are some modern touches to classic dishes that will appeal to all ages and level of food sophistication as well as the usual familiar, comfortable foods. There were six in our party ranging from 16-years old to 95-years old and all of us were extremely happy with every aspect of the evening. As you would expect, beverages (hard and soft) are pricey but full-measure drinks

The menu for the view was not up to my standards. There should be more choices of foods and sides and not everyone likes a prefixe menu the option should be open to what the customer would like for their dining experience some people only want an appetizer and dessert.

Took my 6 yr-old on a Daddy-Daughter trip to NYC. Went to the view after seeing Aladdin and had a great experience. Food was excellent and view was incredible. Three course fixed priced menu is expensive but when you consider you pay up to $30 just to see the sights at some places (like Top of the Rock at Rockefeller), it really is quite fair for the experience.

My three sisters and I had Sunday Brunch at the view to celebrate my 50th birthday. Our entire hotel stay exceeding all of our expectations. When we were at brunch the food was incredible and never ending. The Mimosas were fabulous and our server was awesome. When ever he came to our table we would point to buildings that were in our view and he would orient us to our location and tell us which buildings were which. We also loved that the napkins had a "map" of the buildings with names. The view was definetly our favorite meal in our 4 day stay. The funnest part of the View was at the end when they brought out a special birthday cake and sang to me.

Was great for a special event, but hugely expensive. Went for a brunch and the buffet was $70/person. Even if you are a huge eater, it is hard to get your money's worth. However, the service was great. The fact that the restaurant rotated was really fun and was the only way we could justify paying the price, but I should also add that I was surprised at the number of tall buildings/structures immediately around the restaurant location that blocked the view sometimes as we rotated around.

Booked this from the UK weeks ago for my wife's 50th birthday, so was taking a gamble as to whether A. They had us booked even though we had a booking reference B. We got a window table, C. It was as good as it said it was. Well it's YES to all ov the above. We were booked. We had a table by the window/view. And was great in every way, they even rememberd it was Jacqu's birthday. Food great wine brilliant service very slick & friendly. Was expensive but well worth for a special occasion. Pays to pre-book as we did, as you just sail past the long non booked queue to your table. And yes the restaurant does revolve & is spectacular by night. Would recommend if your on a holiday in Time Square as we are. It's a real treat.

I was so disappointed at the service, the food and the price. The restaurant wasn't very crowded and the service was lousy. For what they charge (and it's absolutely ridiculous even for New York) you would think the food would have been superb. It was lousy. I had the sea bass and it was very dry and tasteless. They brag about the view but all you can see are the tops of buildings. Not impressed at all. There are much better places in NYC to eat and not get ripped off.

I still prefer buffet brunches with or without a view. But The View has both a very good brunch with great views. Haven't been to a revolving restaurant in more than 30 years when they were all the rage. It was very nice, not sure why they went out of style. The food was very good, the hot table and omelet stand exceptional. All in all a very good value considering the location in Times Square, NYC

We were skeptical about going to the View after reading many reviews, but let me tell you it was worth every penny!!!!! The waiter was amazing and proactive to our every wish or desire. Our group of eight had three that have very serious food allergies including Gluten. The waiter brought us a list that included all the contents and possible allergy to each dish. It was clear and they were so willing to accommodate any changes to the wonderful existing menu. The appetizer was lovely, the main dish amazing and dessert to die for! The wine selections were very nice and I am a bit picky there! A wonderful after theater dinner, relaxing, and we celebrated an anniversary and job promotion. Could not imagine better!
