  • "I had been excited to taste various food from this restaurant because I had been to another Rocky Top Hospitality restaurant. The appetizer (Beer Chili and Cheese Dip) was EXCELLENT. One meal BBQ Pork/Brisket and was okay. The pork lacked flavor, the brisket was okay, but the presentation looked like everything had just been dumped on the plate. The other meal --sirloin -- was well cooked and very good. The (expected) coup de grace was to be the Tia Maria. Ours was dry, like old cookies had been stuck together and not soaked in the coffee liquor as should have been. The twisted margarita was also excellent."

  • "We've ment to try this place for awhile. Finally got around to it when we had some midday shopping to do. The food was pretty good. They have a good kids menu that is a good deal for the price. Lots of beer on tap etc... It will be an option when we are in the area now that we know more about it."

  • "We went to the Twisted Fork and did not have a good experience. The food was dry and they were out of lots of different things. How do you run out of bread."

  • "My husband and I went with another couple for date night. The night started a bit frustrating as we had reservations and still had to wait 20 mins. Once we were seated we had a great time. Dinner was great, and our server was very well versed in the food options. Though this is not a romantic spot, it's still great for date night and I would return."

  • "Just a weekend getaway at the Marriott, nothing special planned. What a great surprise when we lucked up and found a GEM-Twisted Fork."

  • "Twisted Fork never disappoints us. The food is great, the beer selection and price are perfect, and the service was fantastic. Our only regret is that we don't live closer."

  • "They incorrectly tried to seat a confirmed party of 5 at a small 4 person table, and were very reluctant to seat us elsewhere. We waited 15 minutes just for our drink order to be taken, and 30 minutes once our food order was taken. The fish and chips were good, although the "chips" were just Arby's curly fries. The butterscotch brownie was also good- warmed through and served with icecream. My toddler son's hamburger came to the table rare (which is not what we ordered- well done, of course), and it took them 15 minutes to send out another one. I'll say it was just a disappointing dining experience for us, and we won't be going back for a very long time!"

  • "Really like the new menu. Desserts were awesome and I generally am not a dessert person."

  • "Twisted Fork has really revamped their menu. The list of dishes is shorter, but more refined. You can get anything from decadent seafood, to alfredo, or North Carolina style barbecue. There's something for everyone on this eclectic menu, and the portions are generous! The service, however, left room to be desired. We were left waiting for long periods of time (15+ minutes) without drinks, and when we said we'd like to look at the dessert menu, we had to ask twice and wait a total of nearly 10 minutes before seeing a menu. Twisted Fork has a heck of a dessert, menu, though - so the sweet-tooth will REALLY enjoy this place! (As long as you don't mind refrigerated desserts.. cakes come out cold!)"

  • "We arrived at the restaurant with reservation and were seated quickly (there was a line, but this was the Sat after Valentine's). We were seated upstairs, right by the staircase, which was a little inconvenient for the diner sitting with his back to those coming up the stairs. The restaurant was very crowded, but this was expected on a romantic holiday. Our waiter appeared quickly to take our order -- then disappeared for quite a while. We had a LONG wait for our food, with no "check-ins" from our waiter. Once the meal arrived, it was delicious, though."

  • "I'm not sure if the restaurant was understaffed, but service was awful on a recent Saturday night. I could see the manager going table to table apologizing. But once the food arrived, all was forgiven since it was great!"

  • "The service was excellent as were their desserts. However, I ordered the brisket with fried okra and french fries. The okra were soggy with grease and the fries were a bit greasy as well. The brisket was very tender and good, but that's all I ate."

  • "We had a late lunch on Valentines Day. The food was good, but not outstanding. It was not a romantic restaurant. Very much casual, but pricier. The service was great and friendly."

  • "We made reservations for the 3 course Valentine's Day meal which we thought everyone would par take in. Well we noticed other people there just eating normal food and since my last visit I see the menu has scaled down to mostly comfort food and not as much steak and seafood. That is ok but just not expecting that. So the ambience was as good as I would have liked and the dress has definitely gone down to jeans and tshirts. Just not as good as I would have liked for Valentine's Day but overall the food was good. I think the trout could have been sauteed or had more flavor but the dessert was the best."

  • "We did know what to expect when we booked the reservation. We seated immediately by friendly staff. The wait staff was professional and provided a good service. The food was good and nice portions. Good experience."

  • "Despite having a reservation on Valentine's Day, we were put in an upstairs area with no decor and tables that seemed to be leftover from a school cafeteria. Food presentation and quality was very good - as usual. Food and beverage service was a little slow up there - perhaps because of all of the stairs. This upper dining area should either be redone or only used as an extension of the bar area and not the restaurant."

  • "This place is a hidden gem! The craft beer selection they have is great and the craft beer drafts are only $3 all the time! Great service. Their menu is definitely comfort food and the menu options looked good. We ordered from their valentines day menu, and the food was just "ok." My fiances steak didn't have much flavor. However I heard people raving about their BBQ and some of their other signature dishes. We will be returning! Try sitting in the bar area --much better ambiance."

  • "Valentine's Day is a hard day to get a reservation, if you (like me) start looking too late. So we went to the Twisted Fork, which is okay, if one likes a mass-production mall-type restaurant. There was too much meat in the main course, the flavors were predictable and a bit bland, and the only available wines were pretty awful. Given that I dropped more than $100 on the meal, I think more quality could have been hoped for, but it's a chain that's out for profit, especially on a "captive audience" day like Valentine's."

  • "Horribly cooked sirloin. I asked for it to be cooked medium and it came to me rare. I asked them to cook it longer and it came back medium rare. Horrible horrible cook."

  • "Pocked this restaurant for valentines say for myself and hubby. the food was so so but not nothing to brag about. The service was not so good. Wouldn't go here again."

  • "Had a great time and enjoyed spending valentines day there with my husband. Servers were prompt and courteous. But just beware if there is a price fix menu -- don't try to change anything. They really don't like that. But it was a good menu overall and you get plenty of food for the price. P.S. ICE TEA CHICKEN IS AWESOME!! SO JUICY AND TENDER!!! Rib Eye steak was rather bland -- also be sure that when you say "Medium" it is actually medium. Ours was a bit on the medium rare side."

  • "$3 pints were great, but the food was lackluster. I had the short rib tacos, which had no flavor outside of charred meat. Would have been better with more salsa (diced tomatoes does not count as salsa, by the way) and toasted/grilled tortillas. Rice was greasy and bland. My boyfriend had a cheeseburger, which comes with what I'm pretty sure are frozen curly fries. We will be coming back for beer, but the food isn't worth the money when there are better places nearby."

  • "We had 2 babies and a 6 year old and felt very comfortable. Our waitress was amazing! She made fantastic recommendations for food and drink and was spot on. She consistently refilled our glasses and did not get upset with the mayhem of all the kids. The food was fabulous. A great night and we will be back!"

  • "Overall, the food was good for the Prix Fix option. Was disappointed by lack of ability to choose doneness of burger, and by lack of intimacy in the design. Interior Design much better for lunch than for dinner."

  • "After a morning of shopping at the nearby mall, we stopped for lunch. The shrimp tacos were especially delicious, prices are decent though service was mediocre despite the fact that it wasn't at all crowded. Better than average chain rest. food."

  • "With outstanding (and a few unusual) choices on the menu, there is something here to please everyone. The salad bar was well kept with a great variety of items. The restaurant was very clean and the staff pleasant and eager to please. This will definitely be a regular on our "dining out circuit!""

  • "The jambalaya was delicious and served with creamy grits. We had a reservation and were seated immediately even though the restaurant was busy and people were waiting. The dessert selection looked fantastic. I wish I could have tried some of them (unfortunately, I can't have sugar). I would definitely visit here again. There are quite a few menu options I look forward to sampling. The staff was very friendly."

  • "We went to TW by request of my 13 year-old daughter for her birthday dinner. We all had different meals, and once again, they were excellent. In my reservation, I had asked for a special dessert for her birthday, but nothing was done. Otherwise, another great dinner at the Twisted Fork!"

  • "We used to be regulars here--had many nice dinners here and the filet mignon and pasta dishes were wonderful, now not on the menu. The new down scaled gastro pub menu is pretty limited, cheaper, has none of our favorites for dinner or appetizers. Tried the tacos and ribeye filet- both nonimpressive. A Tuesday evening visit, not busy, and we were seated in the bar--not so great. We probably won't return."

  • "While not known for their speedy service, things were much worse (much worse) than normal. Apparently there was some sort of "crash" in the kitchen, as our meal took over an hour to get to us. When we did get it the ribs (while good) were not as hot as they should have been. The service was excellent, given the problems in the kitchen. To his credit, the manager did take good care of us and overall the evening was salvaged, but it was not the smooth dining experience we have been used to at TF in the past."

  • "This was the third time I have visited The Twisted Fork, and I will be back for a fourth. The only thing that wasn't the best was the new menu (I liked the previous ones more). The food, though, was delicious and prepared at the proper temperatures. The pace of service was nice as well."

  • "Note that new Twisted Fork menu has changed the upscale menu to gastro-pub-grub. If that's what you are after, this is the place. Also note that dinner for two with soft drinks and one dessert and a good tip but without alcohol will be in the $60 range. Also, if you do try the "24 Hour Brisket" don't hesitate to send it back if it is too fatty to eat, and request something different. As always, very good service and attentive manager."

  • "I had guests with 2 small children and wanted to go out for dinner. Twisted Fork was great for that: outstanding beer selection for the adults plus more than the usual burgers-or-steak, and a good kid menu and kid entertainment stuff for the waiting until food is ready. Noise level is a little too loud, and it took a little to long for food to be served but service itself was very good, as was the food. Price is very reasonable. They had both high chairs and booster seats."

  • "The only thing good were the drinks. The restaurant smelled like something burned. For appetizer, we had fried green tomatoes - okay if you scaped off the sweet sauce on top. We had the ribs for dinner. The sauce was good but ribs were dry & overcooked. We had a hard time even getting a knife into them. The manager took them back and replaced with southern fried chicken which was almost as bad. It looked like shake and bake with less flavor. It was tasteless but at least not dry. We didn't chance dessert although it looked very good. One comment. While the food was horrible the service was excellent. The manager did try to make it right and our waitress was friendly and responsive."

  • "We went for supper before our New Year's Eve party and found the staff to be very friendly and willing to stop and answer questions about the menu or to check and see if we needed anything. Despite it being a holiday, they didn't seem frustrated by having to work, which has been the case at other restaurants in the past. The food was delicious, with large portions for more than reasonable prices. I will definitely be returning in the future."

  • "i have eaten here many times and the dinner we had on new year's eve was not up to their standard. my husband's and my steaks were cooked way over what we ordered, my daughter's pork was dry, green beans came out cold - overall, not great. i did love my brussel sprouts, though. wine and waiter were fine. i am sure we will give it another try, but i was dissapointed."

  • "I have not been to the Twisted Fork in awhile and decided to go for New Years Eve. The ambience was really nice and it wasnt crowded. My mother and I ordered one of the New Years Eve specials and our food came out cold. We sent it back and it came back slightly warm. Our waitress was nice but not attentive. We had to constantly wave her down to get a refil. My key lime pie was really good."
