First time at the Third Rail. Food was excellent. Prices on both the food and wine were very reasonable. Will definitely go ago. Would love to see a more expanded wine list. Definitely a place to go for a nice meal at very reasonable prices.

After waiting 20 mins at our table unattended, we finally waved someone down to take our order. This pattern was repeated throughout the night. We had to resort to self help to get place settings, taking them from a nearby unattended table. We couldn't wait to finish our meal and go.

We had 7PM reservations for a Saturday and had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. The table next to us left the restaurant before ordering because the wait was excessive. We waited and enjoyed our food. If this restaurant was staffed appropriately I would have given it a better rating. Overall we enjoyed our meal however the wait was too long.

And wasnt all that impressed with the food (mostly related to missing ingredients). We are tempted to possibly give it another try at dinner sometime to just see if it was an off day or time of day...

First time I ate at this restaurant and was told they have new renovations which were beautiful, great setting and ambiance. The BBQ shrimp was delicious and for my entree I got sea scallops which we re so soft and melted like butter in my mouth. I will definitely be returning and recommending this place!

I made my way to the newly renovated Third Rail after reading several reviews. The new spot impressed me quite a bit. The menu was diverse and more importantly the dishes were delicious. We were recommended the Rigatoni Bolognese, Duck Confit and the Pan-Seared Scalop dishes. Definitely worth the trip. I cant wait to make it back again.

I was suprised to see all the renovations that were done - All Good! Place looks much nicer and more pleasant to dine. The food was reasonable priced and delicious! Not sure about the new name though, Third Rail? Rigatoni Bolognese a must. They opened up the bar which brings some new life into the scene. Great place for a quite lunch. See you guys again soon. Edward.

Having been a long timer at the prior version of this (Backstreets) I was worried that too much had changed. But I gave it a try anyway and am happy to see they are now on opentable. My favorite foods were still there and the quality is still excellent. The place needed an upgrade as it was very "tired" and the new open layout I found very different but it works. The bench along the back wall is a very nice addition as it makes the atrium a lot less cramped. I'm a convert.

Great food, great staff and a great bar scene. Try the rigatoni bolognese, one of my favorites. Take advantage of the outdoor dining experience before winter sets in. If you are a football fan, Monday Night Football on the patio is a great time. Great specials and a chipping contest that is great fun.

Have been going to the previous restaurant Backstreets for a long while. Was a surprise to see how much had changed at first but then found the menu to be mostly the same and they did one dish the duck the "old way" for me easily on request. The scallops dish my wife had w/ the new sauce was very good. The place was more energetic than I had remembered as well. Only downside is the New Canaan color scheme ;-)

Tried something new... We had a great meal, wait staff was wonderful and treated us like long time friends. This is a great casual date place, a place to hang with friends or family night out. Disappointed they didn't have the short ribs but the alternative choice did not disappoint (Crispy Cofit Duck). We had the opportunity to meet the owner who is a local and very accomodating and friendly. We will definitely be back!

Had the chance to have dinner and drinks there on Friday. The crowd was a good mix of younger and older people, couples, and a few families. The newly renovated space is a big upgrade to the white table clothes, glass tops and sitting on top of each other which I experienced at the old place. Food was good and I felt the service was good as well. I was skeptical about the service reading some other reviews but it sounds like the new owners have figured it out since those reviews. Overall this place provides an overall nice experience for a night out. I'll be back

Food was very good, had the Rigatoni Bolognese which they say is new, service was OK but they were a little busy. Staff is new and recently renovated. Nice patio but was too yucky to eat outside. Had a nice glass of Chardonnay.
