A word from The Teahouse Restaurant
Drive through an evergreen oasis and dine beneath towering trees on the oceanfront, at The Teahouse on Stanley Park’s Ferguson Point.

One of Stanley Park’s historic seaside landmarks, this popular meeting spot is minutes from downtown Vancouver and boasts an outdoor fireplace on the restaurant’s patio, which looks out to sunset views of Georgia Strait from the western tip of Stanley Park.

The natural west coast atmosphere is perfectly enhanced by Executive Chef Annabelle Leslie's cuisine using fresh local ingredients.

For private events, the Teahouse has three distinct rooms; perfect for seminars, meetings or special occasions of any kind. Each room offers ocean views that are unmatched in Vancouver.

The Teahouse is a contemporary dining experience with a difference, accompanied by the longest sunsets in the city.

A small quibble. Two people in our party ordered the same tea so the waiter suggested a large teapot rather than 2 individual ones. Great. But you have to put 2 teabags in a teapot that is twice the size otherwise the tea is too weak. We didn't bother trying to get his attention for another teabag.

Don't be fooled by the name. The Teahouse is all that and more. Our group of six came for Sunday brunch on a beautiful autumn day. Everyone in our party enjoyed perfectly poached eggs (Benedict and served with other dishes). Couldn't have been nicer. View is great as well. One of our favorite spots in Vancouver.

Our guest from Ontario enjoyed both the setting and her BC salmon, my husband enjoyed his carrot soup and wild mushroom ravioli (though he found it a bit salty), and I had the capicolla and mushroom flatbread. The noise level was higher than expected, but it was Friday night and there was a large group nearby.

The GM sparked the mood for our dinner here. It was just my younger son and I dining on a cold Fall night and the GM seemed genuinely pleased to see us. From there, our server was also warm and catered to our every whim. The ambiance is lovely and the food was good. Would definitely go out of our way to go back again. Guest service wins every time.

Our experience of the Thanksgiving dinner menu was delightful. The Harvest salad was abundant and filled with wonderful nuts, fruit, cheese and fresh greens. The Sherry Dressing was excellent, in particular. The three course menu served an entree of moist and finely roasted turkey, both dark and white meat, four different autumn vegetables beautifully plated, cooked and chosen to complement one another. Everything was nicely satisfying to the palate. The pumpkin brulee was lovely as a finish to this fine meal. The service was attentive but not intrusive allowing us to converse privately and meaningfully in the presence of well-selected music.

Normally the Teahouse is one of my favourites. We hoped to enjoy a cocktail before dinner and a glass of wine with dinner. I had just barely begun to drink my cocktail when the salad arrived. I ate the salad and before I knew it the entree was there, barely warm, heated by microwave. I had not yet finished my cocktail. I ate the entree and then before I knew it the dessert arrived. I was asked if I still wanted a glass of wine. No. The moment we finished our dessert our bill arrived. We left, feeling unappreciated, unsettled, shoved out.

My wife and I spent our anniversary dinner here, after a day enjoying Stanley Park, and the meal was lovely. The server was very hospitable and polite and dealt with questions/comments very well. We both had their stuffed mushroom appetiser which might have been a bit cheesier than some would hope for - but suited our palates perfectly. For mains, my wife had a very nicely cooked piece of salmon, with a slightly crisp salted sear which was lovely and moist inside. I had a Brohm Lake Duck Confit, which was nicely done with a well paired fig demi glace. The location/views are obviously top level, and the food is almost at the same level as the Fish House in Stanley Park (which is one of my favourite restaurants in the whole of the city).

My son and I dined at The Teahouse after a walk through parts of stanley park. It was the perfect place to dine right before a flight out of canada. The hostess was warm and hospitable and went out of her way to make my young toddler son feel welcome. The food left a lot to be desired, unfortunately and regrettably. I remember thinking I could make a much better salmon steak and the bed of lettuce it came on was supposed to be an entree sized salad! Salad consists of a lot more than a few large lettuce leaves. :( I didn't finish the meal (also the salmon was still raw in the middle which is an error novices make! ). Despite not finishing the meal, no one inquired as to why. However, overall, I was glad we went at least once.

Fantastic location and beautiful surroundings. The food was good but our lunch was slightly marred by so so service. Our server did not tell us about the specials which we only found out later when we overheard any server. Too bad as the specials sounded great and we would have ordered them. When the meal was brought to our table the order was wrong and he had to go back for forgotten items. However it was not so bad that we would never go back.

We tried this place on recommendation for an afternoon tea but when we arrived, found that it was really a full restaurant these days. We still managed a light tea but we returned a few days later for a lunch. The setting is wonderful looking out over the water and all the food and wine we experienced was great. Our waiter, Adam, took time for a chat despite the restaurant being very busy and was both courteous and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend The Teahouse Restaurant in Stanley Park, Vancouver.

It is difficult to imagine a more appealing restaurant in a more beautiful setting! What appears to be a cozy cottage is just that, but so much more. The interior feels open, spacious and is filled with light. And the view over the approach to Vancouver's harbour is hard to beat. But we eat in restaurants for the food, of course, and The Teahouse never disappoints. The menu is not excessively large but still has plenty of variety, the meals are skillfully and meticulously prepared and the presentation is appealing. My fresh B.C. Coho salmon melted in my mouth and the accompanying melange of potatoes, broccolini and asparagus was perfect. If you eat her once, you will surely return!

We arrived 45 minutes early, in the rain. Not only were we seated immediately at a lovely window with a view, but a staff member went out in the rain to pay for our parking (yes, with our credit card, but saved us the trouble of doing it ourselves). Our lunch was served promtly, and both dishes lived up to their menu description. Fresh ingredients, flavourful and prepared with attention to pleasing arrangement on the plate. Great coffee! Many years had pasted since we last visited the Teahouse and it will be many more before we return. For the price we expected a lot more. The appetizers of Coal Harbour Clam Chowder and Teahouse Stuffed Mushrooms were good although the portion of the clam chowder was insufficient and I'm not a big eater. Our main courses were sable fish (black cod) and halibut. The halibut was dry, probably from being too long in the freezer while the sablefish was moist and received a favourable comment. The accompanying vegetables were good. The portions are small so it's just as well they are liberal with the bread. The deserts were good. I'm only giving two stars as I expected a lot more especially for a bill including tip of $250+ for three people.

We enjoyed our evening at the Teahouse and found the ambience outdoors very pleasant on a warm evening. Despite our concerns we were able to park nearby. The dinner was unexceptional. Calamari , salmon and cheesecake. The calamari was very heavily over-crumbed, the salmon well-cooked to our liking, the green herbed mashed potatoes were weird, sorry no other description and the cheesecake just adequate. Value for money there are better value restaurants in Vancouver along Commercial Drive for example.
