Diner Reviews
  • "The servers were a little lackluster, but the food was delicious and beautiful!"

  • "Great night! The service was outstanding. From the welcoming hostess, skilled bartenders, and outstanding waiter we were pleased from all aspects. Enjoyed knowing where my meal originated. Went for restaurant week but will return to enjoy the full menu. Lots of original ideas."

  • "I would have never guessed such a gem would be on the other side of those windows. The food was great, the service was very professional and prompt… and did I mention the food was great! Go here, you won't regret it! DUCK BACON"

  • "We went to The Tavern for restaurant week and every course was delicious, our server was very knowledgable and attentive and we had no problem getting a table. Wonderful atmosphere!"

  • "We were greeted with, "We'll be with you in a couple of minutes" rather than, "Good evening" or even, "hello". It took just shy of an hour to have our main dishes delivered to the table. The food was warm at best and not worth the wait or cost. There are much better options in the area."

  • "I have a "foodie" friend who highly recommended FSK. A lot of times when someone praises a place so much, the restaurant never lives up to the hype. In the case of FSK, my wife an I had an excellent experience. The food was delicious, and the service was very good. If you are looking for a place that is doing the "farm-to-table" movement right, then look no further that FSK."

  • "We sat in the tavern room because I wanted to try the bone marrow, it was delicious meet butter. We also had the pork belly and tuna ceviche. Both were very good, however the pork belly was my all time favorite of all three apps. For our entree we split the ribeye and a side of Brussels sprouts. The ribeye was cooked to perfection the crispy sear on the outside and perfect mid rare on the inside. The steak came with roasted chipolinni onions which were a perfect complement to the steak. If I were to say anything negative it would have to be the bread. It had great flavor and texture, I would just prefer if it were somewhat warm, it was about the temperature of the walk in cooler. It was one of the best meals I've had in a long time."

  • "Food was outstanding! But the time between courses was too long for all the tables in our area--wait staff was very polite and apologized (probably not their fault)."

  • "A lot of reviews give poor ratings because of the portion size. I know this is America, home of the super-sized EVERYTHING, but I was satisfied with 3 LARGE sea scallops and my boyfriend with his 10oz sirloin. My scallops also came with short ribs that melted in my mouth. Scallops were carmalized and although not done well enough as I prefer them, still very very tasty. We also had a side order of brussel sprouts, also phenomenal."

  • "From the cocktail to the dessert, Fleet Street Tavern was excellent. It has quickly made its way to the top of my list of favorite restaurants in Baltimore. The atmosphere was definitely a bit on the energetic side - not sure if this is true of the dining room, but it did seem that way. Granted, it was a Saturday night. The food absolutely impressed. "

  • "Our dishes were both very salty. Butter was delicious but crystallized salt was sprinkled on top. Then vegetable ragout was extremely salty. We returned and it came back with sweet taste. I know they tried to neutralized with sugar. It became over salty sweet vegetable mash. Scallop was also salty. The side beef was good. Interior and ambiance are very good. But food, they should hire better kitchen personnel and salty food is not trendy and too rural taste. "

  • "Saturday night at 7 in the bar. Great server, interesting menu options, from apps. small plates and large plates. Duck confit with seasonal beans and lardons. Seared scallops were perfectly seared and sweet. Great veggie options including parsnip puree that was like silk. The meal was nicely paced and there is great people watching. If you have trouble with steps, eat in the bar area. "

  • "There was an interesting menu (Pig Face & Pickles is on it and it is exactly what it sounds like) and is filled with what I consider fancy food and not normally the kind of restaurant I like, but I enjoyed my meal. Be prepared to pay top dollar for your meal. Our bill for four meals (3 fish entrees and a chicken entree) , 2 vegetable sides, an iced tea and one cocktail was $155. The portions were adequate. If you are looking for a unique dinning experience for a special occasion in Harbor East, then I recommend this restaurant. "

  • "just ordered off tavern menu. We ordered 2 appetizers, leafs beet salad & the bone marrow (cause I'm a foodie like that), scallop dish, and my friend ordered the fluke. The appetizers impressed us. Both of the main dishes could have been improved but were overall well prepared. My friend's fluke was pretty plain, Brussel sprouts and red currant side with it were delicious. the scallops were perfectly cooked.I didn't get the pairing with beef. but it was very well prepared, so it wasn't perfect but overall for me I enjoyed it. We each had a glass of wine, bill total 95 plus tip. no room 4 dessert. the amazing freshly baked bread kept us full? main dish portions were fine for me but if you are used to starchy sides you won't be pleased. • "We had a very nice evening at Fleet Street Tavern. The service was excellent and food was delicious. Appreciated their concern for food allergies. I hope to return soon!! "

  • "Very disappointed after so much hype. The food portions were very small for such high prices, and the quality of the food was merely adequate. None of the dishes were inspired. We will not be returning. We were excited to try this after many rave reviews. "

  • "We've always enjoyed the food at FSK but found that the atmosphere could be slightly stuffy. The recent restructuring so that the front part of the restaurant is now a more casual "tavern" style suits us better. We think it suits the restaurant (and neighborhood) better too. Service was a little off, though we don't blame our server for that - she was very good - it just seemed that she was maybe a little too busy elsewhere to keep a close enough eye on our corner table. But the food was excellent - in fact the best meal we've had at FSK. Highly recommended."

  • "Checked out the new tavern menu after work with colleagues which was great. We tried the new punches which were very well done. The small plates were all great. The short rib and parsnip soup were m favorites."

  • "The food at this farm to table gem is always outstanding. Freshness, appearance and taste are always on point and outstanding. For vegans, vegetarians or animal-based protein folks, you can't go wrong!"

  • "I enjoy Fleet Street Kitchen, so was interested in checking out their new concept (the front dining room is now a separate restaurant, called Fleet Street Tavern). To be honest, it was not really different than Fleet Street Kitchen, except the menu is much more limited. I thought they were trying to create a more neighborhood-friendly and affordable place, but again, it is not really different from Fleet Street Kitchen. My friend and I each got an entree and 1 drink, and the total bill was nearly $80. That's a lot of money for a piece of chicken, 3 scallops, a glass of wine and a shot of vodka. Not sure if people will see this as any different from what came before."

  • "Our first trip to Fleet Street Tavern was a celebration after having completing a six month local library activity. Dinner was a special event with the use of a gift card. We found it difficult to decide between the prefixed menu and the large or small plates menu. We chose a combination the large and small plates. The small plates were our appetizers with unique plate of picked items and a second of cheese/sausage . The large plates were interesting but the portions were not very large. Overall, the food was okay but certainly not excellent. Considering the quantity and price, the experience was a little pricey."

  • "Had been to the restaurant, but wanted to try the new tavern idea. Very professional service. Needed pair of reading glasses which were kindly provided. Asked for help choosing between two entrees; good choice given. Expensive wine list, but at least wines were half-price Tues. night."
