Diner Reviews
  • "I absolutely loved everything I ate but with a table of 12 and the rest of the restaurant full it was so hard to hear anyone at our table. The noise level was so loud that the person sitting across from me was literally shouting at me to talk. A pleasant dinner turned out to be a shouting match. "

  • "Service was slow but good. The setting is delightful. Food, the most important part, is good - which is a good thing. They are not pretentious and it is a great place to go before the night out partying with your friends. I would highly recommend going before starting your party at stadium or going out on the town. (And don't forget to send the kitchen a 6-pack!)"

  • "They have a very nice menu with a variety of entree choices as well as sandwiuches. All of it very excellent. I also liked the portion size, not too big but not tiny either! Really good choice, go for it!"

  • "Service was amazing, our waitress was so kind and helpful. It was quiet but we did go pretty early. Everything we ordered was great!"

  • "We went with friends for Family Style Sunday Dinner. Great atmosphere for visiting and enjoying friends. Catfish was fine - Fried Chicken was terrific and the side dishes were delicious. Family style was fun as we sat at a round family sized table. Perfect place to meet for dinner."

  • "We had dinner there before the Cher Concert in Tulsa. We were a excited group of middle-aged women out for a night on the town and starting our night at The Tavern was the perfect beginning. We met early at the bar for cocktails and then sat down for dinner. We had a GREAT waiter who took care of the 9 of us without missing a beat. Our food arrived in a very timely manner and he kept the cocktails coming. I cannot say enough good things about The Tavern on Brady!!!"

  • "Ate at Tavern before Cher concert at BOK. Service was excellent. Food was surprisingly good, given the price point. Staff is attentive to make sure you get in and out in time to get to your event. Overall, outstanding evening."

  • "I expected more of a Tavern/Bar....instead, it was more gourmet food and pricey wines. I can usually judge an establishment by its Caesar salad ..... This one did not impress me, unless you like eating dandelion greens. The dressing was FANTASTIC!! They said the Mac and cheese was angry, and believe me it was ... Very hot... Spicy!! Will not go back!!"

  • "Perfect spot for a special occasion or special evening. Comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. French Onion soup was the best we have ever had. Brussels Sprouts with bacon was outstanding. Filets were cooked to perfection."

  • "We've been here multiple times and enjoyed it every time. My husband and I like to go by ourselves and with friends. We can also take our 5 month old and it's no big deal. We were with a group (family) of out of towners this last weekend. My brother is a Chef from Miami, FL and he was impressed. Food is always great. Atmosphere is upbeat. We love the angry mac. The halibut last weekend was fantastic. Their burger is awesome. Have never tried anything we didn't like."

  • "I've been to the Tavern in the Brady District of Tulsa several times now. The quality of the food, service, bar, drinks, and ambience is excellent all around. With its 1920s decor and craft cocktails, it transports you to another age--one of jazz, drinks and dancing (but there is no dance floor). It is a high-end restaurant, however, the burger is hard to beat and one of their best items, but you can't go wrong with any choice. It's a treat. Enjoy."

  • "The tavern apparently canceled our 630 reservation at 602. The promptly seated us though. I had no idea why the would cancel the reservation."

  • "We will not return unless the sound level is addressed. So loud that my wife's ear actually hurt. Service was good. Food was OK although menu really pub food and limited in scope. We love the locale and the renewal in the Brady District. We enjoy the area immensely. The valet guys were super."

  • "The special menu was wonderful, all three courses for us both were fantastic. Had appetizers: Shrimp cocktail and Country terrine and Entrees: Beef Filet and Lamb T-bones and the most wonderful shared dessert: Flourless Chocolate cake with Rasberry Coulis."

  • "Overall my experience here has always been good at the tavern. The food is always great and I look forward to eating there. I took my family for my husbands 61, and my daughters and son in laws birthday. Our waiter was lacking this time. He seem to be off his peak that day and forgot to ask us for desert and forgot to bring us our gravy with our Sunday dinner and there was just too much we were having to ask him for as he came to our table. It was like he had been assigned too many tables and then he would be gone for quite a bit of time and not come by to refill our drinks. Usually my experence is great at the tavern and I love to come here. hopefully next time the server will be on his game."

  • "For an early seating we had bad sun thru west window so don't go too early. It soon disappeared after about 20 minutes. The extreme deviled eggs and Angry Mac n cheese were awesome! The salads both the house and ceasor were good. We ordered the steaks were cooked a little rare but had great flavor and we couldn't finish them as they were 2" thick beautiful cuts. Didn't have room for desert but were very pleased with our meal and presentation."

  • "Wife and I went there for V-Day lunch. She odered chicken salad. I've seen more chicken left over in my cats's food bowls. INcredibly TINY portion - shreds of chicken on bed of greens. Lunch ticket was over a hundred bucks before tip. Wouldn't recommend unless you're not hungry or your date is anorexic."

  • "I took my wife for valentines day (the 13th) on a recommendation. Her steak was excellent tomato bisque was fabulous as well as the the winter salad and the bread pudding. I ordered the skate. It had an strong ammonia smell and the taste was very unpleasant. I topically would not leave a negative comment, I just wouldn't come back. However I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and because every thing else was great, I understand that perfection doesn't always happen. Our waiter was excellent, it was just valentines day traffic and it seamed to be understaffed. I will be back. We had a great time and will be back. Thank you."

  • "The menu has several interesting & delicious choices that I haven't found elsewhere! Each person at my table ordered something different & ate every bite! Tables are spaced far enough apart that you can carry on a conversation. Our waitress was excellent...attentive without interrupting your conversation. Being able to make a reservation was an added plus as we were attending an event at the Performing Arts after dining. Great experience in a quaint & tastefully decorated restaurant!"

  • "Our waiter Phil was amazing! He recommended fantastic specialty cocktails and dinner options. We had 10 people and it was easy for everyone to find something to drink and eat! They were great about splitting the bill. It was loud- and that is the only negative that I can think to note."

  • "Service and food were both very good except for our freinds dessert came out cold. They ordered the cranberry fruit tart and assumed it should've been hot. They decided not to bring it up to the waiter. I'm sure if they did he would've heated it up for them."

  • "We have enjoyed this restaurant several and the food was good on Sunday evening. However, the service was not acceptable. Our server was not up to your usual standards. Our leftovers went into the trash when we got home due to the poor packaging (and no gravy to go home with the chicken)."

  • "Ate here for dinner with a group of friends on a Saturday night. Menu is a bit limited & doesn't change much Food is highly seasoned. One of our party had the salmon special & remarked she could not taste the fish, just the seasoning."

  • "The food was good overall. The lobster bisque left a little to be desired, but the beef wellington more than made up for it. The service was a little slow, but it was New Years Eve, so that can be excused. I wish the price for the New Years' menu had been published as it was a bit of a shock with the check arrived."

  • "When checking in for my reservation the hostess asked us to wait, we were about 5 minutes early. They said our table (which I believe they said was #5) still had people dining. Shortly after that, a father and son walked in with no reservations and were seated immediately in the bar area (also, the son was not 21), the table appeared to be a very good table and one that we would have taken if given the option. The waitress revisited the table only two times in the hour we were there, though our beer glasses were completely in the first thirty minutes empty she ignored than when serving the table next to us. Also disappointing, is the website for the restaurant did not indicate an abbreviated menu would be offered for the holiday."

  • "The special New Years Eve menu looked tempting, but we were not hungry enough for 3 full courses that night. So we did the mouthwatering standby and highly recommend it! Also, the barrel-aged Negroni is excellent!"

  • "I had the Steak Frites and my date had the Chicken. Both were excellent. It was a busy night when we were there so the service was a little slow."

  • "Excellent food and service in a warm, old lovely setting. The decor is welcoming and classic. Food has been consistently above-par on every visit."

  • "I had a great dining experience. We got there 15 minutes earlier than our reservation time, but were immediately seated. The food was great, the service was excellent! The only negatives I have are that we were seated right next to another group even though the entire room was vacant, and also our famous Tavern burgers were very charred on the outside, so they had a very burnt/overdone taste. The fries were to die for, and the Bloody Mary was spicy and yummy."
