The Tavern is a chef-driven restaurant committed to serving great food in a stylish, yet relaxed atmosphere. Here at The Tavern, we serve contemporary American cuisine with a Southwestern flair and are committed to featuring organic produce, naturally raised meats, and sustainable seafood whenever possible. We take the time to hand-pick fresh vegetables, hand-cut steaks to order, and bake our own breads daily which sets us apart from others for miles and miles. Our menu provides a different and incomparable variety of entrees from fire-roasted artichokes and ground-in-house burgers served with hand-cut shoe string fries, to 11 oz. center cut angus filet mignion.

We provide an extensive wine selection, featuring the best of boutique wines that can be enjoyed at an afforable price. We also have a wide variety of beers from around the world, and serve some of the best cocktails in town.

They offer Happy Hour specials in the bar area only so it's kind of a challenge. This week it worked perfectly! We will for sure return."

  • "This is our favorite go-to fresh dinner resturant. They don't have a freezer, so freshness is a must. They have gluten free fish tacos that are wonderful! I can even turn it paleo by substituting the rice/beans for roasted acorn squash. If anyone asks us where to go for a casual atmosphere, not fast food, good wine/beer...we always say The Tavern!"

  • "My teen daughter is now a "pescatarian" so we are always looking for restaurants that offer fish and seafood options. I'm a carnivore and my wife is a salad person. The Tavern menu is not overwhelminly big but it brings very interesting dishes: from the skillet cornbread appetizer to the tuna burger or the slow cooked beef rib, everything was fresh, nicely prepared and delicious. This restaurant is already in our favs list! And we will come back again."

  • "Another trip to The Tavern with friends exemplified the consistency of this restaurants great food and service. Motivated by the need for Lenten fish, our wives had fish tacos that were prepared perfectly. My best friend and I opted for the Mexico City Enchilada. While not a Mexican restaurant, we agreed that our entree was as good or better than those served at some of Fort Worth's better known Tex Mex establishments. The Tavern gets the chicken enchilada right with some flare! The wine selection is adequate to please most patrons and the beer selection is accented with variety. I had a new tap selection - Vanilla Porter, which was outstanding. Before selection, our attentive waitress provided me a sample. Dining doesn't get much better."

  • "It was recommend to us which I was skeptical about since it's not in a vibrant location surrounded by other good restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised. The good was delicious, my husband got the pork ribs --fell off the bone easily, great flavor, and a nice side of thin crunchy fries. I got the brisket tacos and they were the most flavorful tacos I've had in a while - marinated meat, great rice and beans and a delicious sauce that gave it a kick. We also got the keylime pie and it was pretty good as well -- just too big (and thus pricey). The server was nice, we didn't feel rushed but we sat by the bar and it was so crowded I was someone else's bottom almost in my face. I decided to not let it bother me and rather see it as comical."

  • "Late planning on my part left me with The Tavern as an unknown choice on Valentines Day. I took a chance and found this to be exactly what I was looking for. It had just enough atmosphere to keep my second date with this lady from being too romantic while still having a cozy feel. Food was excellent and wait staff could not have been better. They are well trained and have a team attitude without leaving you wondering who your waiter is."

  • "Service was fair at best. Starting with the front desk at the door. Bartenders seemed very new at bar tending. The waiter had no clue about the menu or the nightly specials. The food came out at different times for our table of 4. My overall impression with this restaurant is the is a severe lack of training. Maybe it's just growing pains...... Food was ok but nothing to write home about."

  • "Although I made the reservations on line about 6:40 for 7:00 dining, they told me they had a line when I reserved and I would have to wait 10-15 minutes. That would have been fine, but there were three tables available when we got there and we were finally seated 10 minutes later in one of those tables. Inexcusable as far as I am concerned. If they had been all full, I could understand."

  • "This little bistro in a strip shopping center doesn't look like anything special on the outside. As a matter of fact the building used to house a hamburger place. Now? Wow what a difference. My wife got the enchilada and tenderloin which was great. Enchilada was really stuffed with moist chicken and her steak I cut with a fork. I got the double cut pork chop. It had to be 3 inches thick. It was incredible . The only reason the food didn't get 4 stars is because the key lime pie I got for dessert was barely so so. Overall I'd eat here as much as I can."

  • "We arrived at the Tavern right on time and checked in as usual. The gentleman with the room temperature IQ informed me that we didn't have a reservation. I immediately showed him my conformation email from open table and he looked completely dumbfounded. I was then informed that I didn't have a reservation and would have to wait 20-30 minutes for a table. At this point we left and dined elsewhere."

  • "We had a wonderful experience at The Tavern. We came in from Oklahoma and had dinner with my sister and her husband. Two people had the Red Snapper Creole, the special that night, and were very pleased with the meal. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Their specialty cocktails are also wonderful. Everyone ordered a drink and everyone enjoyed what they had. Our waitress was friendly and took care of us. We enjoyed our experience at this restaurant and we would definitely return."
