  • "Waitress could not open bottle of champagne, had to have guest do it- bad delivery of food items (gave no paring suggestions, gave no info on wines), didnt know the substitutions on the cheese tray (gave incorrect wine information as well as cheese just an FYI if you are going to sub out your brie at least let the customers know..and Fennel is a SEED, an herb....not a cheese type).f was not knowledgable about items on menu."

  • "Had a great time with my hubby here as always. They mistakenly put in the wrong pizza type on our order, but they left us each a slice of the wrong one, made a new one and gave us free dessert on the house to make up for it."

  • "First time visitor and the experience was outstanding. Had appetizers and wine. Good selection of both on the menu. Thanks for a great experience and I will be back"

  • "We had a nice dinner at The Tasting Room in Kingwood. Neither my husband or I am wine drinkers but we'd heard the food was good so we decided to check it out. The grilled cheese appetizers were great, simple, unique & tasty. I ordered the margarita pizza & was disappointed. It was quite flavorless. I'm not sure if it needed more sauce or cheese but the flavor was very muted. My husband had the bacon wrapped filet & enjoyed it. Overall an enjoyable evening, our waiter was great, the ambience was fun, just disappointed with the pizza."

  • "If you live in Kingwood/Atascocita and you aren't regularly coming here for Sunday brunch, you're really missing out. Awesome water view from the patio, mimosas, and awesome food!"

  • "Had a reservation Friday night at 730 and was seated right away. Not very crowded. Took about ten minutes to get wine. Menu change from last visit. Very limited selection. Food was just okay. Chicken was a little dry and rossoto was not done all the way. Salad seemed to be just thrown together and not mixed thoroughly. All dishes lacked presentation. Great place for wine, appetizers, and hanging out; not the best place for dinner. Will try again when the menu changes. Service was very slow. Had to hunt the server down to get the bill and pay. Did not see him during the meal and was not offered refills on the wine...loss of sale. Staff is polite...most likely a turnover of waitstaff and chef."

  • "The service here was very good. Waitress brought tastes of two different wines so I could decide on a bottle. Food was good also."

  • "When we arrived, we were seated right in front of the live music speaker. The musicians were talented but far too loud. We did ask our server if we could be reseated, and we were. Very pleased. Were moved to the back of the restaurant, and the entertainment was still very loud. We ordered, and were promptly served. Too promptly. The main course came before any of us had finished our first course. New Years Eve is a night of celebration. People are there to enjoy friends and family. When we choose to go to a fine dining venue, we do not want to be treated as fast food customers. The servers over-reached, and the whole experience felt rushed."

  • "Usually, this place does prettyy well, but they were off a bit tonight. My BBQ shrimp was over-cooked and the New Orleans-style BBQ sauce tasted like plain old Worcestershire sauce. The wife's pizza saved the day; it was very good. The wine selections are always fine here, too. Service could have been a little more attentive. The placve was not that crowded. I think everyone was in after-Holiday mode. We'll try it again sometime."

  • "This was a date night to celebrate, just the two of us. I liked that we didn't feel rushed to hurry, order so they could turn tables. The atmosphere was very relaxed. Noise level was considerably better than most places, we could hold a conversation in normal tones. That night the restaurant had a solo guitarist playing, we were seated close-by but it wasn't so loud that we couldn't talk or hear each other. The food was phenomenal! Cheese board, as an appetizer, went great with that first glass of wine. Followed by a wedge salad and bacon-wrapped filet which was hot off the grill, tender and not drowned in sauce. Nutella brownie for dessert. There is a child's menu. Can't comment on kid-friendly aspect, they didn't come with us."

  • "The overall experience was acceptable. Location and decor are above par. Our server was knowledgeable and took great care to explain and suggest wines that might fit our palette profile. The wine was a great experience as I am just getting into some of the blends that are now available. As for the food, it left quite a bit to be desired...overpriced and off-temperature. I will venture in again at some point but I will enjoy a meal before hand."

  • "Had a great view by the window looking out over Lake Houston. This was the day before Thanksgiving, so it was not crowded. We split a pepperoni pizza which was very good - thin crust, tasty tomatoe sauce, and just the right amount of cheese. We each had a salad and they were pretty substantial and easily splitable, but we managed. The wedge salad I got was good, just needed a little more bleu cheese to kick it up. Service was attentive and dishes were cleared promptly. We enjoy sitting outside when the weather cooperates; not tonight!"

  • "We celebrated my wife's 40th birthday party on a Saturday night. Food was great...crispy snapper with smoked cherry tomato compote was great! Service was wonderful and we will definitely visit TTR again."

  • "The service at this restaurant is top notch! We ordered a dish that the menu stated was vegetarian. However, when it arrived it was covered in bacon. Our waitress took a menu back to the kitchen and within minutes the manager was on the phone with corporate. They really take care of their customers. Our waitress was knowledgable and able to give us great recommendations."

  • "My husband and I went with another couple to celebrate them being in town. The food was wonderful (amazing gluten free pizza crust!) and the Wine list was lengthy and delicious. Our waiter had great suggestions and was always helpful with our requests. The live music was a tad loud but great talent and the ambience was intimate and relaxed."

  • "My husband and I were both off work early, so we went here for Happy Hour. We made a meal off the HH menu alone. Our sommelier, Sonny, recommended the Amici Sonoma Chardonnay, and it was a hit. We finished the whole bottle, along with 2 orders of HH grilled cheese (1 order is only enough for 1 person), which is my favorite with the creamy goat cheese inside and jam on the top. We also enjoyed the truffle fries, never can go wrong. The pulled pork sliders offered just the right amount of spice for our palettes. We finished with the HH hummus (had to get extra chips, but they accommodated). Our table was inside (by request to avoid the heat), but they sat us right next to the window that looked out over Lake Houston."
