  • "The noise level is so loud that we can not speak. Even after moving to a back table we could hardly hear each other with the (not good) live music blasting to the place. Do not go there if you want to talk to other people. It is a shame as the food is good and they have a good wine list and are in a good spot. Will not go back soon."

  • "Wife and I had a really nice date here. Food was tasty, wine list was exceptional and the service better. I'd recommend it in a heartbeat."

  • "This has become one of my favorite places to meet with friends. The food is great and I love the wine selections. Made my birthday memorable!"

  • "The menu was misleading my date ordered the "grilled" cauliflower putinesca witch was clearly steamed/microwaved there was not on grill mark nor browning spot on it I ordered the pork chop which was clearly microwaved due to the excessive clear liquid in top of the chop plus the coagulated protein on the top and bottom"

  • "We arrived on time and were seated promptly (they didn't mark us against our OT reservation). Service was good, but nothing memorable (nothing special even though I noted in the reservation that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary). Nice selection of cheeses and charcuterie. Mini grilled cheeses are a must have! Good selection of wines by the glass with most prices in the $10-20 range. The weather was great so we sat outside. Great for people-watching. The outdoor tables are a bit small. We had 3 people and were constantly rearranging things to fit glasses, menus and plates. Overall it's a solid, safe bet for a pleasant evening out. We'll definitely visit here again, but it's not the place I'll bring every visitor through."

  • "We love coming to The Tasting Room for our girls night out after a long work week. I always ask for Charlie because he gives fantastic wine selections and is very knowledgable and just an all around great server. The band on the patio is a nice touch also. We will be back very soon!"

  • "Went to celebrate birthday for my wife with group of friends. Staff was very attentive , reservation was ready as promised. We were at back of restaurant which was somewhat quieter so we could talk. Food was very good (somewhat unique). Will definitely go back again."

  • "We took a client to this restaurant recently, had reservations two days in advance and were seated on arrival - so far so good. At the last minute, the manager decided to sell out the entire restaurant area for a last minute party. We were moved from our quiet table into the bar. He did comp us a bottle of wine but it was not the experience that I had hoped for when I booked the reservations. We will not be back"

  • "My wife and I are glad we tried The Tasting Room. It's not a quiet little room for tasting wine as the name implies though. With a very large and vibrant bar atmosphere and relatively limited and expensive by the glass wine list, this place is not for tasting wine at all. Service is a bit slow with not enough servers for the number of tables, but the food is excellent. We shared crabcakes, antipasta cured meats and seared striped bass, which were were all excellent."

  • "I met a colleague for a business lunch, arriving just before noon. Very few people in the restaurant, therefore it was quiet. In the evening and at happy hour, noise levels are much higher, a business meal might not have ben possible"

  • "I will never book any of my important dates here at the tasting room ever again! For a neighborhood bar use, they are the right name for it! However, be wise! No more important meals in this restaurant . They shout never offer any special menu for anyone who is planning a long time for oneself and their important ones! Again, for a bar night need, their are okay for you. Be wise!! bar use, they are the right name for it! However, be wise! No more important meals in this restaurant . • "This was our first time here and it couldn't have been better. The treatment we got from our server Charlie was absolutely suburb. Also a manager came by to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. It was a great way to be welcomed to the area and we'll certainly place this place on a list of our regulars."

  • "Tables too small for 4 people with plates used. Plates hanging halfway off the table just to have room for all of the glassware, service items & plates. Food was just so-so. The brisket hash a bit too spicy. Breakfast BLT sandwich no way to pick it up and eat it unless you wanted to be wearing it & way too much bread (Texas Toast). Shrimp and Grits way too greasy,Crab Cakes had way too much filler in them as there was no taste of crab that really came though and the salsa that was served with it added nothing to the dish except to make the crab cakes soggy. The only real redeeming factor for our visit was that as we were early it wasn't crowded so we are able to hear each other easily and the service staff didn't rush us."

  • "My family and I are always looking for a great place that has a wonderful ambiance with great food and great drinks and you all provided this for us. We are a group of folks with different taste but we all equally had a great time. We all are planning the next visit already, however, with the parents. Lol."

  • "It was busy and pretty loud when I arrived at. They had a band playing that was pretty talented. It took them about 15min to get a table for me and my fiance while we waited at the bar, but they apologized for the wait and threw in a free appetizer! The appetizer was like a goat cheese dip and it was awesome. We also had the meatballs which were very good, and a prosciutto pizza which was decent. We also split a bottle of wine."

  • "This was my third or fourth visit to this location. Sunday brunch is a very laid back and enjoyable time to sit out on the patio, weather permitting. It was just a relaxed afternoon for my friend and myself. Our food was delivered quickly by the kitchen and tasted great. We had decided to stay awhile and have a few glasses of wine, but it was during the shift change, so we were sort of left to our own devices and had to call for service whenever we needed something. The hostess was actually the most attentive person in the place."

  • "At first, our waitress would constantly interrupt our conversation/obvious business lunch to ask if we needed anything. She wanted us to use those interruptions to ask for more water, when she could just look at our table - without interrupting - and refill drinks. By the end of our meal, she disappeared for more than 20 minutes. My clients had to find our waitress and get the bill from her. The service was especially disappointing given how much we liked the food."

  • "The Hospitality was great and I cant say enough about the food. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Their knowledge of their wine and champagne selection was dead on. I had the chicken and biscuit. I got the truffle dressing on the side because I am not a big fan of truffles, but the dressing was delicious. And the chicken was light and flaky, not heavy at all. My friend had the cheddar grits and I have to say those are the best grits we have ever eaten. We are looking forward to going back and trying other things."

  • "I hosted a birthday gathering for my spouse here. The ambiance was ideal for a romantic 1-on-1 outing but served its purpose as a group meeting spot as well. We had the wine sampler & that was interesting. Reservations, etc were simple & to-the-point. I'd visit it again except next time I'd actually order food...we were too busy talking to eat though I tasted someone else's desert & that I give two thumbs up!"

  • "I really wanted to like the TR @ City Centre, but left disappointed. Our waiter said that due to a problem with the Enomatic Machine, we could't order wine flights. I'd expect a wine bar to be able to find a workaround. The cheese selections were good, as were the crabcakes. The classic/black bean hummus combination was average, and served cold with cold pita slices to boot. Service and ambience were both good."

  • "The meat and cheese appetizer was delicious, but I wouldn't recommend going here for a full dinner. Stick to drinks and appetizers, and you'll be pleased. The main course food wasn't that good, but very high price. The band playing on a Friday night was great though, and we really enjoyed the ambiance!"

  • "The weather was perfect, the 1st course was a Trio of Cheese that were fantastic. We then each had our own brunch entrée that was served Hot and the taste was extraordinaire. Had to share one of the fresh bake chocolate chip cookie topped with ice cream that was a perfect ending and plenty for us to share. We both hope that the weather will allow us to visit the outdoor dining again for an outdoor brunch soon."

  • "Made us sit outside under patio cover while it rained. --multiple unused tables available inside. My wife and I got wet from the wind blowing the rain on us.. Additionally, I didn't find anything special about the wine menu. Note, this was my first time to dine at TR."

  • "Great place! (Parking is difficult on a Saturday night, however, so allow half an hour to find a place) The hostesess couldn't have been nicer. The waitress was friendly, courteous and knowledgable about the wines and menu. The food was de-licious! Don't miss the grilled cheese appetizer. It is to die for. The wine list was very different than what I'm used to; I had not heard of most of the selections, but they offer a taste if there is one you want to try. Even better is they serve wine more at retail than restaurant prices. EXCELLENT. I wished they sold more wines by the glass than they do but their bottle wines list was enormous. Only negative is the conversation noise level is really high. Other than that, awesome experience!"
