A word from The Tap In Pub & Carvery
Tap In Pub & Carvery is a modern corner pub that's a lot like the neighborhood living room. Where stories are shared. Golf is revered and the food smells just plain good. We're not on the trend radar. People hang out here. They come for a Daily Special and a bit of gossip, or a tall tale of golf to be shared with everyone. We're a warm and soft-hearted group with generous intentions. Come visit. Have a brew, carve up some meat, dip in some bread, chat and get comfy. From pancakes and eggs for dinner, to chicken pot pie, pot roast, corned beef and cabbage and mama's lasagna - we're a real carvery. That means handmade goodness and hand carved roast pork, roast beef, turkey and more - alone or on carvery sandwiches. And, that's just a start.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "We had dinner at The Tap In Pub. Very disappointed. The menu was limited and the food was fair. If your a beer drinker you may enjoy it more. I am a vodka drinker and the selection was very limited. I was shocked that they didn't have Absolute......it wasn't like I was looking for a high end vodka."

  • "I've dined here twice now - once with my husband, and most recently with a group from work. The food is very good - I recommend the homemade chicken pot pie special on Tuesday evenings. They have a varied menu with something for everyone; decent wine selection, and full bar. Service is very good. Decor is a fun golf theme and you can take home a logo golf ball as a souvenier. Its a bit tucked away near Hotel Arista off Route 59 but a convenient location with good parking options."

  • "Unfortunately for them, the waitress looked miserable to have what was her only big table for the night. Place was dead yet she acted so uninviting to my group of 11 women! Food was good for the most part. not a bar atmosphere, much quieter than I thought for a Pub. Bar was not stocked with anything the girls asked (simple requests likes pinapple and Malibu) won't ever be returning! Yt"

  • "We have eaten here several times, and will again. Our only disappointment is that for being in an upscale area, they had a limited beer selection. We were told that there currently was no drink list and that they were revising it. We hope so."

  • "Food here was not great. Nachos had little spiciness & consisted of a melted mound of cheese & meat atop grease soaked chips. Pastrami sandwich was poor quality meat on a greasy pretzel roll. Meatloaf was fair as were the Chi Town dogs. Mac. & cheese ok , but nothing special. Disappointing meal overall. We won't be returning."

  • "Good innovative menu. Food on the heavy side, but well made and creative."

  • "Great local restaurant. For others it is a bit off the beaten path, but worth finding. Pleasant atmosphere and great food."

  • "We had already eaten here a few times, and this time we brought friends along for lunch. We were not disappointed. The menu is great and the service was also. We are lucky to have the Tap In right across the street from where we live. We will definitely be back, and will bring other friends as well. We have been here at both lunchtime and evening, both weekday and weekend. The food and service are consistently excellent."

  • "The service at this restaurant was bad to say the least. We had a table for 8 and had a brand new waitress serving us and she had no help. Took forever to get the first round of drinks served. The restaurant was not that busy. The explanation was that the bartender was busy. We'll our drink order consisted of 4 cans of beer and 2mixed drinks and water. Sorry but it should have taken 5 minutes to serve this order. Our food order was the same it took approximately 45 minutes to be served from the time the waitress took our order. We arrived at this restaurant at 5:30 and didn't leave until 7:45. Like I had said before this establishment was not that busy. This restaurant will have to do better, otherwise it will not survive."

  • "The chef has clearly put in some thought on the menu choices and the presentation is thought out as well. The pizza is good and the sauce has a sweetness to it. This may be a busy place during the week (it is in a hotel) but when we arrived at 6:30pm on a Saturday, there was only one other table seated. Other people did stop in is as the night went on but it is a quiet place even though I don't think it was designed to be."

  • "If you love fried foods then this is the place for you. Not many choices if you want something light and somewhat healthy. Even the salad had fried chicken and the soup was cream based. I love fried foods but it would have been nice to see some more salad choices and some more soup choices that weren't cream base. I know this place is suppose to be comfort food but I left feeling smothered. Very Heavy. The place is darling with a great golf theme and the serving staff couldn't have been nicer and so accomodating so I gave them a 5 star. Just need to work on adding some extra lighter fares."

  • "This location has been many different restaurants, but we wanted to give it a try under the new name/management. It was a good first experience. I had the Pastrami sandwich and found it to be moist and flavorful. My wife had both the crispy chicken salad and the Mac 'n Cheese. She found the salad to be a bit spicy (moreso than expected), but the Mac 'n Cheese was very good. We will go back to try their buffet for lunch sometime and the food was good enough to eat there again for lunch or dinner."
