About The Table:

The Table is an urban neighborhood restaurant focused on seasonal ingredients, hand-crafted cocktails and progressive wines. We are called The Table because we recognize a table’s unique ability to bring together delicious food, fun drinks and good people. Many of life’s best memories have been created around a table.



Our cuisine is contemporary American, paying tribute to the people and cultures that call this valley home. We believe that the quality of our product begins at the source—with the farmers, ranchers, and dairymen that produce them. By establishing relationships with local farms and ranches, our goal is to understand the origins of everything we cook and seek out only those ingredients produced with integrity and care. We commit to delivering delicious food that highlights the quality of the ingredients we source, free of over-manipulation.

  • "Cocktails were outstanding! as were the bartenders. Very original drinks, all done very well. Food was good, but a bit disappointing for the price. Service needs improvement. Example: when they brought our desert, the check was brought as well. Then a minute or two later she came back to collect the check, even though we hadn't yet finished. Never asked if we wanted coffee, after dinner drinks, etc. We were only there an hour or so, so it wasn't like we overstayed our welcome. We will be back for drinks for sure."

  • "We enjoyed our evening and the food was tasty. My husband got the burger and I really liked it. I got a seasonal vegetable dish - it was tasty. The potato wedges were good but nothing out of ordinary We got the Grits with my husband being from Louisiana, I liked them but they were too out there for his taste. The pot de creme was delicious!"

  • "We had a terrific meal at The Table. I had the Haddock dish and it was terrific, with a nice sear on the outside and flavorful sauce and accompaniments. My husband had the pork belly and it was a real treat and packed a lot of flavor. We also had brussel sprouts, which came a little late, but were cooked perfectly. The wine recommendations were good; however, it would have been even better if the waiter could have known these without having to check with someone. The drinks we had ahead of time at the bar were stellar. My dirty martini was just right, with a local gin. The bartender knew to stir not shake! It was a special experience. Everyone was super friendly and the check-in by the co-owner was very nice. Highly recommend!"

  • "From roasted bone marrow and rabbit fritters to beef cheek and beignets, not your usual restaurant faire. We had a group of nine and ordered most everything on the menu (multiples of several) and shared them family-style. That's a great way to avoid having to make those hard decisions when everything looks good. The food, drink and service was great. Always a treat. This was a long over-due return visit and we're looking forward the next time. Highly recommended."

  • "The Table has become a monthly tradition. Our hairstylist moved his location to Willow Glen and so now my friends and I make the drive to have our hair done after work and then over to The Table for drinks and dinner. We like to sit at the bar, but it's always packed and hard to get a seat. The bartenders are knowledgeable and fabulous; the quality of the drinks say it all. If you like bitters, this is the place to come ..... they make their own. As for food, the Red Kurri Squash Gnocchi is my favorite, but we order a lot of plates to share ..... Rustichella Cavatelli, Oven Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Baby Beet salad ..... Yum .... I'm getting hungry! And of course you can't leave without having an order or two of their Ricotta Beignets!"

  • "Everything we consumed here was excellent. The cocktails were lively and well-made. We had the bone marrow and quail appetizers, followed by the hangar steak for my husband and roasted bass for myself. The bass was perfectly cooked and had a very interesting accompaniment of salty chorizo and lemony/sweet fennel jam. We had the pillowy ricotta beignets for dessert. Excellent food. Service was well-timed and prompt. The only small drawback was that the tables are pretty tiny and managing all the glasses & plates was a little tricky. It was quite noisy, but that actually was a good thing, allowing our conversation to be private even though we were in a big open room. We may bring friends next time we come."

  • "I made a reservation a few days in advance and was promptly seated the moment we got to the restaurant. I definitely recommend making reservations far in advance because they do book up pretty fast. The restaurant was not huge and spacious, but the cozy and great ambiance of the place made up for it. All the food we ordered was spot on and the server was very helpful in giving us recommendations on what to order from the menu. We tried a couple of their specialty cocktails and were quite impressed. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely come back."

  • "San Jose doesn't have many higher-end dining experiences, much less ones that focus on local, fresh ingredients. The Table is one of the few, and one of the best in the area. The appetizer we had with brussel sprouts was a little dry, but otherwise everything was good. From the amazing burger to the tender beef, I was very impressed with what was offered. I believe the menu is seasonal. Highly recommended for a romantic dinner (though there are no real isolated tables, so be forewarned) due to the food and the ambiance."

  • "This time I started with the Huckleberry Cobbler Cocktail - delicious! The meatballs are consistently good, as is the bone marrow. I had the Sourdough Spaetzle which was pan fried so it was crispy on the outside and tender in the middles. The Pork Belly is a delicious addition for the winter menu. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Everything was just right."

  • "The food at the Table is always delicious and I love the fresh farm-to-table food concept. The menu is ever-changing; everything I've tried there has been nothing short of amazing. Even the bread (served warm with cheese + olive oil spread) is excellent! The only average aspect of this restaurant is the service. Honestly, I think I would prefer to sit at the bar (the bartender is funny & engaging) rather than at a table again. Our waitress was perfectly friendly, but I expected her to come by more often (though she seemed quite busy). The hostess mostly stood around with a bored look on her face & stared into space. She did a fine job of seating us, but didn't really offer any niceties. And she didn't wave or say anything when we left."

  • "Majority of the party got there at 5:30 for happy hour and got seated at a table where it was not available. Kind of strange. Happy hour is limited anyways so make it more available or maybe let us know first so we can sit at the communal table. They did eventually let us order from the hh menu with manager approval. The grill was also not available due to ventilation issues. Majority of the party wanted a steak or burger but could not get it. I like the place and it can be great but our night and experience was not the most enjoyable."

  • "I travel to the area all the time for work (my company is HQ'd there), and have exhausted all of the options downtown, Great America, and Santana Row... this is a GREAT alternative. Food was great, unique combos, perfectly prepared. Brussel sprouts, beet salad (with a to die for hash brown thing), and spaetzle that made me wish I hadn't ordered all the pre-cursor meals... so good! Barrel to table wines that are reasonably priced and delish. Service was a little slow, but we weren't in a hurry... but I did think if I was in a hurry, its not the place to go. Its a place to have a great meal, great conversation, and enjoy!!"

  • "I walk by this restaurant all the time and have always been curious about it. I asked around and honestly received mixed reviews about service and pricing. Well I wanted to find out for myself so we made reservations for our one year anniversary at The Table. I put in a request for great wine and scallops. Both requests were accomplished. Even though scallops were not on the menu the chef bought and prepared them just for us. 5 amazing course and a great bottle of wine later we couldn't have been happier. We were even given an anniversary present. BTW, the chocolate mousse dessert with sea salt......amazing. This is our new favorite restaurant and we will be grabbing the friends and heading back."

Things to try: The Brussel Sprout chips, Butternut Squash soup, Scotch Eggs, Hanger Steak, and wedge dip(ask for the chips to be well done, they're a little to raw for me). PS, Have Jimmy make you a brown sugar old fashioned."

  • "We really enjoyed The Table. The food was excellent. I had the fish and my husband chose the beef cheeks. Both were delicious. We also shared the baby beet salad and red cabbage over house made pasta. All were very tasty. Nice portions as well. I was happy to see that the noise level was better than I expected as well. It wasn't quiet but you could hold a conversation with table mates which has become so challenging at so many places around the area. We will definitely return!"

Every guest I've taken there loves it. Everything is done SO WELL.
