  • "Used to be better. We both found the side dishes incredibly salty"

  • "We had a somewhat later reservation of 8:15 on a Friday evening to celebrate my daughter's 40th birthday. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our server was delightful and allowed us to take our time ordering drinks, appetizers and our entree's. Food came out delicious and we enjoyed the evening all the way to closing time. It did feel a bit strange to be the only one's in the restaurant at 10:30PM. I think if some sort of entertainment in the lounge was offered, people may have a tendency to stay longer. We did notice that the parking lot of "The Magic Lamp" across the street was full when we left. Dinner for 5 with cocktails, appetizers and entree was $400.00, so Sycamore is a bit more pricey than The Magic Lamp."

  • "My husband and I have been to the Sycamore Inn many times, as a couple and with a moderate size group and a very large group. We are never disappointed. We generally choose to go to this restaurant when we want an upscale experience. The food is excellent as is the ambiance and the service. Our service is never rushed. On this evening we were a party of six, family members. We enjoyed appetizers, cocktails, wine, and a meal with rolls and sides. Delicious!"

  • "We LOVE the Sycamore Inn (Rancho Cucamonga) - we go for the Prime Time dinner since we're on a budget. I think their appetizer Cajun Shrimp should be a main dish! Add some wild rice and vegetables and voila! I love the fact that they have "old school" drinks like Manhattans...but the Smokin' Margaritas are my fave. :)"

  • "This resturant was established back in the 1800, so needless to say it needs a update. The carpeting has the entire restaurant smelling like the 1800s. Other than that, the food was excellent. I ordered the 10 oz. filet mignon cooked medium. It was cooked perfect with a pink middle and nicely charred on the outside. The stemmed spinach and au gratin potatoes are just that. Nothing special about them. Also ordered a top shelf extra dirty martini on the rocks. Excellent cocktail with no complaints. Kind of weird that the host podium is located back by the bar instead of as soon you enter the establishment. Overall if your going for food, excellent. If your going for wine, excellent with over 500+ selections."

  • "Food and service is excellent, but a little too pricey."

  • "I would have liked a more quiet setting.Very loud and uncontrolled children in restaurant made for not such a romantic evening. And for the price of the food I would have expected more of an adult setting."

  • "We've been to this restaurant numerous times over the last 10 years. Things have changed over the years, and this last time was the most noticeable decline. While the prices are somewhat extraordinary (and this is fine with us if it's warranted), the food and service are no longer (but it certainly used to be). To pay nearly $50 for a steak that is just OK is not acceptable. The "Family Style" side dishes seem to have become smaller. We had reservations for a family birthday dinner, but our server had no clue about the birthday. The service overall was minimal, slow and unenthusiastic. We really got the sense that they didn't care if we ate there or not. My family and I left disappointed."

  • "Sycamore Inn is just off Route 66 (Foothill Blvd) surrounded by huge Sycamore trees. I decided to take my family out to celebrate my wife's birthday and everything was absolutely perfect! We ordered a mix of appetizers, the calamari was especially good. Entrees and sides were all served perfectly. It's rare when the youngest in our family (19) and the oldest (89) express complete satisfaction at the same meal. Sycamore Inn pulled it off, definitely going to be our neighborhood steakhouse moving forward."

  • "We love to go to this restaurant occasionally. The prices certainly have gone up though, and most of the side dishes you have to select and pay for separately. The waiter was not very good, Ed was kind of pretentious and catered to some buddies of his at another table. However, the young man that was his back-up was excellent (sorry, should have got his name). He was really on top of things, brought me a cup of coffee, kept our drinks flowing, and promptly cleared the dishes. I'm sure we will go there again, but only for a special occasion."

  • "I absolutely love the Sycamore Inn! From the moment you pull into the Parking lot. There are lots of big Trees, which gives a secluded feeling and you can see the outdoor diners having a lovely time. The Ambiance inside gives a Romantic "Old School" feeling to me. I love the Big Wing Back Leather Chairs at all the Tables! The Wait Staff is on it from the moment you are seated. I always order Oysters on the Half Shell for Appy. Tomato, Basil and Mozzarella salad and The Chilean Sea Bass, Mmmm! So Good! I've been here Twice and we have always had to request the Bread Basket, I guess that's the way it goes? There bread is delicious, it comes out Piping Hot and comes with a Sun Dried Tomato, butter and Parmesan spread! Mmmm"

  • "This is one of the best places in the Southland for a good steak. They are so tender you can cut it with a fork. The side dishes are really good, the Creamed spinach and blue cheese/bacon mashed potatoes are a meal by themselves. Bread is hot out of the oven. Specials are outstanding."

  • "Excellent dining experience! I had prime rib, hubby had rib chop (bone in rib eye) and friends had sea bass... Prime rib was tender & flavorful. Rib eye was perfectly prepared, charred on the outside and moist inside. The sea bass was amazing! Flakey, tender with an amazing flavor. For appetizers I recommend the stuffed mushrooms. The bleucheese stuffing was to die for. And the chocate soufflé was out of this world!! (Just order early, takes 30-45 min to prepare.) The only negative was that we split the check but the recommended tip printed on the receipt wasn't for the spit amount, it was on the full amount and we didn't realize that until we had already paid and left. Overall I give this restaurant 5 stars and will definitely be back."

  • "Went to the Inn for a great steak and we weren't disappointed. Love the service, Bob knows how to take care of us, and love the food. It is nice to go for dinner and we can carry on a conversation without shouting, it is busy but not distracting. Not many places can make us so comfortable while dining on great food."

  • "We had dinner at The Sycamore Inn for our anniversary and it was wonderful. We were seated right away and our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The prime rib was amazing as always. We really like supporting local restaurants because they have a commitment to the community. They live here, shop here and serve here which is really important to the local economy. Thank you to the owners of the Sycamore Inn for bringing back the dining experience that we deserve in the Inland Empire!"

  • "Great restaurant for a lingering, low-light meal. The high back chairs are comfy and the waiters don't rush you to order or eat, or take away your dishes to encourage you to 'finish up'. The rib-eye steak was delicious and I appreciated the waiter letting us know that the sides were large enough to share. The wine list is very nice. I chose the Rosenblum Zin to start and because it was very mellow asked if I could then try the Carol (?)... - a locally grown Zin variety. The waiter must have thought I didn't like the first one because he brought the second and said he wouldn't charge for the first one. Over all - very nice. Will go again when the occasion arises."

  • "The name of the establishment tells you exactly what to expect: A classic western-style inn steak house. They met all expectations! Wait staff were very professional, attentive and detailed, yet unobtrusive. The food was excellent with nothing but positive comments from our group. Definitely recommended."

  • "We came here for a friends birthday, 1st time being here. Our waiter Ed was sooo nice and funny. he said this place was WAY better than Flemings (that's normally where we go) and he was right I was so impressed with my steak choice he recommended. Everyone on our party all go a different steak and we all had to try each others and every one of them tasted amazing and was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend Sycamore Inn Prime Steak House and we will be back!"

  • "Took dad out for Father's Day. He and mom hadn't been to the Sycamore Inn in 40 years. They thoroughly enjoyed their experience. The food was wonderful, however, felt $30 for a bottle of White Zin by Beringer was over the top. Can purchase this bottle in the grocery store for under $10."

  • "Great food, vibrant ambience, perfect wait staff and an excellent menu. Who needs to go to LA to find a killer chop and steak house. Worth the price. Made for a great SaturdY night out. Thank you!"

  • "The food was pretty good (several dishes were very good), the noise level a bit higher than I had expected, service was a bit slow, but the real problem was the cost. Drinks were very expensive, and the food much higher that other places. We had a nice time - except to the final bill."

  • "Our waiter Steve was so personable he made us feel like family. I met my date there who was 15 minutes late and i received a cold welcome for the first 20 minutes. Thank God it didn't reflect on my date. After she arrived, everything was perfect. But I personally received a cold shoulder a pond my arrival. "

  • "Ok - was just ok this year. Have been every year for the last 4 and it was a real struggle to get the champagne glasses refilled- always asking asking asking - if we ask twice how about your keep the glasses fllled? Fair enough? They are very small anyway - its not like you are going to 'waste' more than 2 oz anyway. If just felt like they were trying to cut expenses this year. The prime rib was too fatty, the potatoes never came out, just lots of little things you never used to experience at Sycamore. Got to meet Chuck the GM and his wife - nice folks - you would have thought sitting right next to them service would have been better . . . "

  • " The menu had several choices for both of us, we were very pleased with the cocktail and wine list. The salmon and filet mignon were both excellent, the side orders were all very good and presented well. The desert menu was good and our selections were also excellent. My wife commented that even the after dinner coffee was exceptionally good. "

  • "There are many better values out there. The food and service were good but not impressive for the price. Wines were far over priced as though that makes the place "a cut above", but no it bores me to overpay for a mediocre house wine."
