  • "I was expecting a lot more for the price. I do not mind spending money for great food, but was disappointed in the portion size and flavor of food. As you entered the restaurant, there is an old bar that is loud with TV's. The bar does not match the restaurant decor and looks more like a street bar. Guests must pass by the TV and loud bar noise. As guests enter the restaurant, there is a musty odor of the old and dirty carpet in the dining area. The restaurant is playing Swingers music, that collides with the street bar noise with the doors wide open. As I reviewed the price and environment of the food do not match. I would not recommend this restaurant for a special occasion."

  • "We made a reservation for 7 and our table was waiting for us when we arrived. Our server was very attentive and made the evening that much more enjoyable. Chilean Sea Bass was outstanding, as was the Filet. Can't beat their minestrone soup. Entrees are a little pricey for this area, so you are going to spend about $50-$60 per person when you get done with drinks, appetizers and sides. All very much worthwhile. This was our second visit in the last four months. Great improvements have been made since a few years ago when our experiences weren't so great."

  • "My BF and I had a saturday night reservation during IE Restaurant Week in March 2014. Getting a reservation at the desired time was easy via Open Table. We arrived on time and were asked to wait 5-10 minutes for our table to be readied. We had to ask for the Restaurant Week menu which offered Appetizer, entree and dessert for $40. We ordered from the RW menu. I had the Miso + Sake Seabass with the Sycamore Salad and BF had the Filet Mignon and Crab Cake. I also ordered a wine pairing from the RW menu (discounted from the regular price). The food was very tasty and nicely presented. Dinner was slowly paced."

Took out of state family- everything was great needed to change reservation by half hour and they accomdated me - Service food at atmosphere was as expected - great Even while experiencing an earthquake-5.1!! The staff announced that it was an earthquake and checked on us all"

  • "Second time here, horrible experience. I had to ask for bread and got little rolls and one type of butter. My friend was here on the same night and received actual bread with two kinds of butter. I was not offered the special inland empire week menu. Very inconsistent service. When you walk in, that is when they decide if you will sit in the front or the back, and decide what type of service you will receive. My girlfriend asked about various cocktails and the server looked at her like she was from outer space, we kept it simple after that. Watch out, the busser will grab crumbs off your table with his bare hand opposed to using a scraper tool, hope he washed them first! Wont be back with only negative things to say."

It is on the pricey side, but it's worth it! The service is also great, and they were very helpful. The tables were also far enough apart that they felt private, and the chairs were super comfy. I will definitely be going there again!"

  • "The food was pretty good. One member of our party really enjoyed his prime rib and another thought her filet mignon was done perfectly. Another member of the party and I had a halibut special with fruit and it was also tasty. Grand Manier souffle was a good way to finish the meal. The food was by far a bright spot. I will not be returning because the service was terrible. We waited 10 minutes for water and another 10 to place a drink order. We waited another 10 to get our drinks and other 10 to order our food. When are entrees were brought out they sat on a try beside our table for about 3 minutes as our server was on the other side of the restaurant and her assistant set them down and left."

  • "The sign said it has been here since 1848 and some of the furnishings look like they have been there since then. When you walk in to the bar area from the street, it was very dark. Once we got past that, the rest of the evening was awesome. Service was top notch, our server, Bob, was very attentive and knowledgeable. Great wine list, had a roasted garlic appetizer that was really good. We both had prime rib that was spectacular. Highly recommend!"

  • "We've been going to Sycamore Inn for years now. The quality and service are top notch. It is rare that we are not here celebrating a birthday or special occasion. If we are somewhere else, it is most likely Las Vegas or out of town. Their happy hour rates are spectacular for eating in the bar. Give them a try, I recommend them highly."

  • "I took my wife to this restaurant after shortly moving to Rancho Cucamonga area and was actually referred this place by some good friends. Although a bit pricey, the food was excellent and service was spot on. We ordered the Porterhouse steak and it was everything we hoped for. The stuffed mushroom were excellent also although I believe they were not made in house. . If I had to give any advice at all,. it would be to add some garnish to the plates to add some "pizzazz" to them and make them more appealing. But I guess you don't really need to when the food speaks for itself."

  • "made reservation through OpenTable for 5:45 p.m for two and noted it was for an Anniversary. When we arrived and i told the maitre D' that we had a 5:45 reservation he told me incorrectly it was for 5:30 (in a condescending manor). The food was very good. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable but they are clearly under staffed which like the problem with the maitre D' reflects on the owners and management not the servers. I was not able to order the souffle as they were short handed which was a negative but the death by chocolate desert i had was very good. My recommendation: Less attitude and more servers,"

We were celebrating a birthday, and he was very discrete and served us a wonderful birthday bread pudding dessert which we all shared much to the dismay of the one celebrating.   • "Everything was perfect, from start to finish. I took my boyfriend for our belated Valentine's dinner, and since he's so hard to buy for I figured a fancy dinner would be perfect. It was. My filet was cooked perfectly, very tender. My boyfriend had his favorite prime rib and it was amazing. The smoked bacon and bleu cheese mashed potatoes were to die for. Our server, Bob, was very good and not over bearing at all. We have a special dessert that we enjoy and we were able to have it made for us. It is a bit pricey, but in our opinion, well worth it. A fantastic place to go for a special occasion."

In fact our waiter had a very difficult time hearing our orders and we had to repeat ourselves several times for him to get the order correct. The food was above average, but we have had better for the same price."

  • "My wife and I had a great dinner at Sycamore Inn! The food was outstanding and we were surprised the prices were very good sometimes steak houses are so over priced for fair quality steak but Sycamore exceeded our expectations. My wife does not eat meat and was nervous about the food but there was good seafood and vegetarian choices so I hope they keep that up because some steak houses don't cater to those options sometimes. Service was a bit slow beyond fine dining expected pace but they were busy. I will go back and recommend to anyone."

Each time I can't believe how good the Filet Mignon is. And as tradition we finished with the Sycamore Special for desert. So good! Worth every penny."

  • "Arrived right on the button for our 7:00 PM reservation and was seated immediately. Then things slowed down a little, 10 minutes later our server acknowledged our presence and 5 minutes later took our drink order. 10 minutes later when our wine arrived we placed our dinner order. Skipping appetizers, we ordered soup, our entrees and sides, be prepared everything is priced separately. Soup arrived about 45 minutes after being seated. Entrees arrived just after we had been seated one hour. I assume something went wrong with one of our entrees as other diners who were seated after us received entrees before us. The facility seemed a bit strained due to the heavy patronage load. It was worth the wait, entrees and sides were excellent."

Smash - plain and taste like blend of powder and the real thing cream of corn - a bite too sweet and dry Steak - over season The floor was tilted where we sat so had to change table which is a bite better but still very noticeable Service - had to ask drinks to be refilled every time. If this was a $10 steak house I would not complaint."

  • "Great location but horrified to pay for side dishes with $50 entrees. My mother and daughter unable to sit comfortably in their chairs. Reservation noted a limited mobility senior & expectant mother but their seats were deep and rolling, instead of straight/stationary. Mentioned problems; no alternatives offered. Later I found other seating and my son in law found that those other options cost less. We expect to pay for fine dining; are world travelers, and planned to celebrate news of a new baby coming but left early. With 4 generations from different states, we lost a special moment, though stomachs full and palates satisfied. Wallet stung, feeling of trapped by hidden prices & no options given when called to confirm twice or @arrival."

  • "Took my girlfriend for our anniversary, was not disappointed. Had read some other reviews after I had made my reservations that had me second guessing my decision. Management, must have read them also cause I couldn't find any credence to them during our visit. Service was spectacular, we had arrived early for our reservation and were greeted politely and were promptly seated. Our server team Jay & James were very attentive, as it was our first time here Jay gave us a brief history of the establishment. It may be a little pricey for those on a budget but, for a special occasion it is well worth it as it will create a lasting memory."
