Diner Reviews
  • "Great time out with friends, caught a jazz combo, had delicious cocktails and incredible dinner sourced from local farmers. Will be back as soon as we can. So close to our house in Murrysville, why go to Pittsburgh?"

  • "We went for a quick bite and wound up staying for four courses. My steak was wonderful, my wife's salmon was amazing and the soup, the salad and the tater tot appetizer were a great way to round out the meal. The hit of the night was the flourless chocolate cake with buttermilk and rosemary gelato. The savory touch to a rich cake made it a interesting and unique twist."

  • "Went to the Supper Club with a client for a meeting and had a wonderful time. A nice selection of craft beers and creative drinks started off the night. Tasty salads and a steak and seafood entree, finished off with a dish of gelato made for a great night. The service was spot on and the building is beautiful."

  • "We had a reservation for 8:00 P.M. and we waited until 9:00 P.M. before we were seated. This was totally unacceptable when you have a reservation. We were told the reason was that the chef had walked out earlier in the night. This was an acceptable explanation and we were not bothered by this as we were catching up by the bar. After being seated and receiving the menus we were told that they were out of most of the entrees for the night. In fact, they were out of everything except for 2 entrees. This lack of oversight was inexcusable to not have that many entree's available on a Saturday night, the busiest day of the week in the restaurant business. They should have informed us of this problem before we had waited all this time."

  • "THe Supper Club is located an the renovated train station in the center of Greensburg. The renovation brings one back to the grandeur of a bygone day. We had drinks outside on the patio that looks out on the town and the parking lot before dinner on a cool summer evening and it was very lovely. The food is just OK. Unfortunately the menu writer knows all the right words, but the food does not match. For example sauté broccolini, was really was steamed broccoli and beignets were something like a Dunkin Munchkin. Nothing is more annoying than when the menu writer uses words that do not match the ingredients or the food and when the wait staff is not educated by the chef to know the difference."

  • "Best for a very special occasion if you're on a budget. I loved the concept of local farm-to-table. The hummus was outstanding (do we grow chickpeas here in PA?), the grilled veggies (are zucchini, squash & eggplant in season already in July?) with dinner a little over cooked & we were supposed to get buttermilk mashed potatoes but got barely roasted reds instead. Our bartender, Jay was great at recommending a wine and our server, Chris was impeccable."

  • "The Restaurant Menu did not match the online menu. The online menu advertised Trout, which they did not have. Ordered a burger instead, which was very well done and dry. The french fries were nothing but tiny pieces. This place used to be great. Too bad that it has gone down hill. The place used to always be packed but there were only a handful of folks having dinner. I should have taken that as a clue."

  • "The Supper Club combines an excellent eatery with a local materials yielding terrific results. The Fede pasta was the highlight of my meal, and the "best in the city" pizza of my dining companion was also terrific. Set in an old train station, but even with the high ceilings, the Supper Club has a wonderful open, light airy ambiance. Highly recommended."

  • "We dine here several times a month. This time I had the ny strip steak and the Supper Club salad. The steak was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. The salad was fantastic and included roasted beets. Every entre is fresh, well seasoned and presented perfectly. They specialize in farm to table so you know the food is top quality. Service is always friendly and attentive. Chef Greg usually take a pass through the dining room to check on everyone. It's always a wonderful dining experience with a welcoming staff and fantastic food!"

  • "Enjoyed the atmosphere, the renovation of the station was great. The staff and service was outstanding . The food was good. Three of us had steak. It was cooked as ordered . Everyone loved the potatoes I ordered the half chicken with lite barbeque sauce . It was served with to much sauce. I didn't care for the slaw topping. The potatoe tots appetizers with cheese and bacon were great ,we all enjoyed them. We ordered sangria for beverage which was a wonderful cooling choice For the hot evening. We decided to order deserts a mistake . We had 2 lemon maranque pies that were verystrong and served in a mason jar. Cute idea but not ideal for eating also maranque was actually hard I think dried out Also deserts were way over priced"

  • "Our server was very attentive and provided excellent service. The food was OK. My husband had a steak that he liked. I had the pasta dish which lacked flavor, the chicken seemed like all dark meat and included pieces which were hard and had to be spit out. For $28 I expect an excellent pasta dish! The wine was excellent."

  • "We really enjoyed our first experience at the Supper Club. We ate outside on a lovely summer evening, watching the clouds and listening to the trains thunder by. The food was very good and the wait staff was very professional. We thought it might be a little stuffy but we saw all sorts of people there in attire from very casual to more formal. The location is only 2 blocks from the Palace Theater and there is a nice free (on the weekends) parking lot across the street. The Supper Club was a nice start to a special evening in Greensburg."

  • "I've eaten or attended happy hour at The Supper Club numerous times and have never been disappointed. I love the ambience and find the venue seems to always fit the mood or occasion. My recent Saturday night was no exception and the jazz trio were a great addition to dinner with a friend.Perfect pitch that did not impose on conversation. Service was timely and attentive and farm to table food was as delicious and as innovatively cooked and presented as always."

  • "Our dining experience overall was pleasurable. The salads were tasty, but I thought there should've been a little more. My husband said his scallops were very good, and my chicken with pea risotto and carrots was good, but the mushroom gravy was a little rich and heavy. I thought the vodka drink I ordered was overpriced, and the fresh blackberries advertised with the drink were nearly non-existent. The waiter was cordial and very thorough and did a nice job. Being out-of-town, we were attracted to the restaurant because it uses products from local farmers and growers."

  • "Typically this is a very good restaurant we enjoy. However this experience was a let down. It took a very long time to receive our entrees when it should be quick due to a limited selection menu for the holiday. When received, my pasta was undercooked and my wife's quiche dish was not hot. Service was almost non-existent. Some couples had to go to the hostess in order to pay instead of being handled through their server. Drinks were never refilled."

  • "The Supper Club Greensburg met all my expectations and more...the location and farm to fork concepts were what drew me to make the reservations. My family has lived in this area for well over 200 years and it's not easy to surprise or treat them to something so close to home but yet new and delicious which was our experience on Mother's Day Weekend. Their version of Tator Tots are amazing loaded or otherwise! Our party of six delighted in the rich flavors of their pasta dish with sausage and lamb and fabulous fillets. Great location, beautiful restoration inside and out, real good food and excellent service, a nice place to enjoy a meal with family and friends. "

  • "The Supper Club is our favorite restaurant and has become the only place we go to when going out to eat. Whether it's for a special occasion or we feel like having salads and pizza or for brunch, it's the best food we have ever eaten. And, if you do get the opportunity to enjoy brunch here, I highly recommend the french toast. It is unbelievable! The garlic gelato with parmesan shortbread has become my favorite dessert. I was wishing I had more later that night. The owners and staff are so friendly and inviting. The environment is lovely. We really can't say enough great things about the Supper Club. "

  • "Good experience at the Supper Club, as usual, but was a little disappointed in the menu choices - seemed pretty slim compared with other visits. I opted for the pizza, which is always very good, as are the tater tots. The frites were disappointing - a tad soggy. Salads, as usual were wonderful with very fresh ingredients. The beignets are my new favorite dessert. Great entertainment also!"

  • "I was not really impressed with this restaurant. I thought the menu choices were very limited. Our waited informed us that they only at two steaks left (this was at 6:30 on a Saturday night). Definitely not a place I would rush back too or recommend to a friend."

  • "My husband and I went to the Supper Club on 3-8-14. The last time that we were here, November, I had the scallops and they were great. So this time when I ordered the scallop dinner I thought I would receive the same dish however to my surprise they were made with a different sauce and the sides were different. They were out of this world!! I enjoy the variety of ways they prepare the food. We also enjoyed the cheese plate as an appetizer it also was very good. I would and have recommend the Supper Club for dinner."

  • "I’m a train buff. Never realized it but passed it on my trips to and from N.Y. The pace was relaxed, easy going, no rushing plenty of time to enjoy your food and the ambiance. I’m glad we got there earlier than our reservation time. So we didn’t have to rush. Loved the ambiance. Very romantic. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Plan to dine again when we come to the next performance at the Place. Looking forward to trying other items from your menu. Would have liked to stop for a Night Cap, but had to drive back to Pgh."

  • "Great place for a romantic date or as a change to your usual dining atmosphere. Service and food were amazing along with the availability of wines and other cocktails. Would highly recommend to friends and family for a big date or romantic evening out. Exclusive Valentines menu was very appealing and we left with a satisfied appetite."

  • "Took a special trip on Valentine's Day (first time there). Prices were very high (I'm sure they were higher than normal for the occasion), and the menu extremely limited. Food was certainly above average, but did not live up to the prices by any means. The ambience was less than desirable. Tables with very little room between other guests. TVs in the middle section of the restaurant which I thought were tacky. Restrooms were also very outdated. Our service also came no where near the prices we paid. Overall, if I could do things all over, I would have tried this place out on a non-occasion evening. Definitely didn't live up to my expectations."
