We are regulars at Summit Grill and Bar, but I was let down last Saturday (11/1). I always order the filet and I always order it well-done. I even suggest they butterfly it so it gets done enough. Unfortunately, my steak was red in the middle, so I sent it back. A few moments later, I was served a charred, shrunken steak that was not edible. The female manager that served it to me was rude, never apologized and seriously needs a lesson in customer service from owner, Andy. Do not let managers like this ruin your fine reputation!!!

My husband and I recently took our daughter and good friend to Summit Grill for dinner. We've eaten here several times and always enjoy the armosphere, food and service. Tonight to food was superb! We ordered the Pot Roast Tacos for an appetizer and ohmygosh they were divine! The tacos themselves were crispy, the cheese sauce had a nice bite of heat and the pot roast was cooked perfect. I ordered the Seafood Mac and Cheese and literally couldn't put my fork down. It was perfect cheesy goodness mixed with the deliciousness of the shrimp and scallops. Comfort food at its finest kicked up several notches. Everyone else enjoyed their entrees as well. Will most definitely be back. What a wonderful gem for Lee's Summit.

Steak was cooked perfectly; my granddaughter ordered the grilled chicken sandwich - it was delicious and could have fed the whole group! The menu is creative and I've always had a pleasant dining experience here. We celebrated a birthday and brought in our own cupcakes, and our server was attentive and efficient. The only thing that could improve our experience would be to add more choices on the kids menu, like grilled chicken strips, or small steak. It was kind of weird that grilled salmon was on the kids menu.. I'll be back!

Wow! Love this place! Met my wife there on our first date, proposed to her there, and just celebrated our first anniversary there! The food and drinks are second to none. The bar area has besom a neighborhood favorite for gathering to watch sports or listen to music. The staff has always been exceptional, making us feel like family rather than customers.

I selected the ribeye steak and was very disappointed. I was expecting a good cut of meat and was served a very fatty and greasy steak. I commented on the extreme amount of fat to the server and he said "Well it is a ribeye. I should have sent the steak back to the cook.

We like Summit. It's a good restaurant offering good food at reasonable prices - depending upon what you actually order. Menu is varied, but so are prices - seem to either be great deals or super expensive for what it is. Love the poutine - well worth the trip. Reuben was good, but lacks sauce and the meat could be less chunky, more strips instead of hunks of meat. The farmhouse burger is awesome. Love their fries too. Drinks are hit or miss.

Food was very good. Our server wasn't the best as we waited a while for drinks but and lacked attention to our table but not that big a deal. Server also wasn't good at recommending food as she said everything was good on the menu and failed to ask specifically what the guest prefers or dislikes to recommend something a bit more specific for the guest.I noticed this with other tables also. She did however make us aware of the wine bottle special which was nice. Food was fantastic. Very dark I side for my liking but would go back. Recommend nachos appetizer and sandwich menu. Reuben was quite good and really liked their fries.

Appears most patrons come here for the bar scene and then many stay for dinner. Those who don't miss out. Food is well designed, well prepared and delivered promptly to the table. As one who is not a fan of cole slaw, I was surprised at how good their Kale version is. The fish tacos and the battered shrimp were excellent, as were the shoestring fries. Good food, good service, but try to find a quiet corner as the bar scene noise spills over into the dining area.

It was our dinner groups first time, we liked the cozy atmosphere...the food was very good...the service was a bit off, we think due to not enough servers. The noise level was a bit higher than we would like but not bad enough to keep us away. Appeared the bar area was large and doing well. We will return to this restaurant. The prices are moderate, not to high. All in all, a good experience.

This was my 5th time at this restaurant, all dinner reservations. However, the past 2 times, we waited at least 15 min. for a server to come to table. always seated right away at reception desk, then it seems like server isn't notified of table filled or servers don't know which table is theirs.

Took my Dad and his wife here for 8 pm dinner. They sat us at a table next to the bar and the band started to play. Noise level was so loud we weren't able to talk without yelling to each other. Thinking the band at the bar should start around 9:30 or 10 pm when most of the dinner crowd is gone or play quieter music if you start the music at 8 pm. The server did ask the band to stop playing, because there wasn't anyone even in the bar area at the time. Really like the restaurant and food, just would like to be able to visit while having dinner.

Food was very good, but took a long time to prepare which was a surprise since it was during lunch. We had ordered the pot roast nachos, so that helped tide us over. It appeared they were short servers, too. People around us seemed to be waiting for their orders, too. Very loud as previous comments stated, especially because we were sat next to a large group. There were empty seat and the bar was empty. After they left, we asked if the overhead music could be turned down, but it was still hard to have a conversation between the 6 of us. I would hesitate going with a group of friends because of the noise, unless we sat on the patio. Loved the food, but based on experience of others, owners need to look at how to resolve the noise.

After enjoying excellent happy hour specials on the patio, we opted to stay for dinner in the dining room. Our server, Suzie, was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and flavorful. Our group had: fish & chips, tilapia, burger with poutine fries, and the seafood mac'n'cheese. Everyone was very pleased with their choices. Many comments on "best I've had" and "most flavorful dish" so I think our dinner was a success!

We chose The Summit Grill because we always seem to go to the same places. Living in the Plaza/Brookside area, we seem to be drawn to restaurants near there. So, we were looking for someplace off the beaten path. We are glad we did. The food was as good as anything you'd find on the Plaza or downtown. My steak was like butter and my martinis excellent. The service was attentive but not obtrusive. Although it was prom night, it did not seem to affect our service at all.
