Diner Reviews
  • "This was my 5th time at this restaurant, all dinner reservations. However, the past 2 times, we waited at least 15 min. for a server to come to table. always seated right away at reception desk, then it seems like server isn't notified of table filled or servers don't know which table is theirs."

  • "We had a very enjoyable meal. Atmosphere was quiet as this was our anniversary and we were enjoying our time together."

  • "Food was very good, but took a long time to prepare which was a surprise since it was during lunch. We had ordered the pot roast nachos, so that helped tide us over. It appeared they were short servers, too. People around us seemed to be waiting for their orders, too. Very loud as previous comments stated, especially because we were sat next to a large group. There were empty seat and the bar was empty. After they left, we asked if the overhead music could be turned down, but it was still hard to have a conversation between the 6 of us. I would hesitate going with a group of friends because of the noise, unless we sat on the patio. Loved the food, but based on experience of others, owners need to look at how to resolve the noise. "

  • "Steaks and seafood fabulous. Prime Rib is melt in your mouth; thickest swordfish steak (casino style) I've ever seen"

  • "We've been here several times. Superb steak. Excellent salads. The only criticism I would give is that their French Onion soup is so-so, and their chili tastes burned and too salty. Great service. Bar area is very loud. Restaurant area is very comfortable. Definitely use Open Table here!"

  • "After enjoying excellent happy hour specials on the patio, we opted to stay for dinner in the dining room. Our server, Suzie, was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and flavorful. Our group had: fish & chips, tilapia, burger with poutine fries, and the seafood mac'n'cheese. Everyone was very pleased with their choices. Many comments on "best I've had" and "most flavorful dish" so I think our dinner was a success!"

  • "The food was fantastic! There was a wonderful variety of both hot and cold foods and the salmon was delicious! What a wonderful Mother's Day experience! Thanks Summit Grill for making my Mother's Day!"

  • "Food was awesome! Had the prime rib special and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. The deserts are wonderful too."

  • "We chose The Summit Grill because we always seem to go to the same places. Living in the Plaza/Brookside area, we seem to be drawn to restaurants near there. So, we were looking for someplace off the beaten path. We are glad we did. The food was as good as anything you'd find on the Plaza or downtown. My steak was like butter and my martinis excellent. The service was attentive but not obtrusive. Although it was prom night, it did not seem to affect our service at all."

  • "It was a very good dinner experience. Best piece of beef I have had in twenty years"
    Dined on 4/25/2014
  • "Ordered the prime rib sandwich and it was delicious! Wedge salad very tasty as well. Fish and chips were just average. Would definitely go back but not on a Friday or Saturday night - the noise was deafening and almost impossible to have a conversation across the table with fellow diners. "

  • "We have eaten at the Summit twice. The first time it was the Friday before Mother's Day and it was busy. Daniel our server was pleasant and courteous. The food was delicious. Andy Lock, one of the owners came by and greeted and asked how we were enjoying ourselves. The second visit was April 5th after a production at the Music Hall. We have early reservations a 5:30pm. Daniel again was our server. He was his pleasant . The prime rib, fried chicken and chicken pasta was excellent. I would definitely recommend it to others."

  • "Wonderful ambience. The formal dining area was very classy and the booth gives a slightly more intimate and romantic setting. Staff was extrememly friendly and attentive. FOOD WAS AMAZING! Outstandling flavors and layers. Definitley recommend the Pork Chops & there French Onion soup. Cocktails were very impressive as well. I wanted to try all of their appetizers. The entree's were incredible but it would also be a great place for just drinks and small plates. We were there between 5-7 and the crowd was definitely older - at least on the dining side. The bar area which seemed to have the younger crowd appeared to be casual yet refined. Would like to go back to see what their late night ambience is like."

  • "We got there at noon, with a reservation for lunch, love the salmon and jasmine rice, rice wasn't ready. But being a restaurant person I think you should have stuff ready. This was our second visit and we'll give them another shot."

  • "A very busy, high energy/noise level place but comfortably so. Nice decor, plenty of staff. I had the side salad (very good size) and Reuben sandwich which was perfect. As busy as it was service was friendly and attentive. This was a first visit but will definitely return."

  • "Excellent food, mediocre service at our table and a bit too loud for group conversation."

  • "With premium food, quite atmosphere, over-sized accommodations and reasonable prices this is a great option for personal sized or group business lunches. The food selection does run the gamut in style of food with larger portions while being appropriately priced for the lunch crowd. You can make a fresh protein selection or choose from more refined options or get a refined approach to standard american staples. There are over-sized booths for smaller groups, they will accommodate medium sized groups in the main dining area or utilize their private dining room for larger groups. All options still allow for a quite & intimate venue for purpose based business lunches."

  • "It was restaurant week, so I will say they were slammed....however, after taking our order, the waiter said he would be bringing bread by. After our appetizer and salads, he again said he was going to get the bread. Never saw the bread. Food was good and the dessert also."

  • "I had made reservations almost 3 weeks before Valentine's Day for my girlfriend and I, but when we arrived we were told there was going to be a small wait. We had a seat at the bar, and had to ask 3 different times when/if we were going to be seated. It was an hour later that we were finally seated and 15 minutes later before our waitress took our order. She was very terse and short with regarding any questions we had and only came to refill our waters once. This was obviously supposed to be a romantic occasion, but we were seated by a group of twenty-somethings just drinking and being quite loud. The food was amazing, but for $30.00 per plate, it should be. Despite reasonably priced drinks and great food, I would not recommend this."
