The Stone HouseAmazing Food!It is great to finally find a restaurant in Redmond that can rival a Seattle restaurant. It is in a renovated historic house, so a little cramped, but still a nice ambience. We will definitely be going there again!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat little spotWe've lived in Redmond for awhile and haven't tried this spot and wish we'd found it sooner. Its in a converted house and so feels cozy and romantic. The food was great; I had the black cod and my husband had the salmon. I would definitely recommend trying it out.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMThis Chef knows sauces! This is my second time to the Stone House, and it did not disappoint. The sauces on every dish are so unique and delicious, if you don't feel like you are hungry enough for a starter & a main, order 2 starters. Starters of note: Spicy shrimp, buffalo pork belly, baked goat cheese. The mains are equally tasty & the one vegetarian in our group put his trust in the chef to create "whatever" and was absolutely thrilled with the creativity and variety of tastes served. I cannot honestly understand why this place wasn't jam packed on a Thursday night, I almost hate to see the foodies find this place because I will always want a table here when I am visiting the Redmond/Bellevue area. Oops, did I forget to mention desserts? Amazing!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMLovelyeverything about the experience was fantastic, most of all the food. you will pay a pretty penny but the food is worth it. it is a very small and intimate restaurant so definitely make a reservation! because of the small space I imagine it could be loud if full, but we were there very early and there were only two other tables there.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMSmall but great food!!!The Stone House is not meant for more than one large party of 10 at a time, but it is perfect for couples or groups of four. We managed to get in ahead of the one large group they had, which raised the noise level from moderate to energetic. The food never disappoints from the kitchen - then again food that doesn't have to travel far always tastes better :). The prices are on the high side, but given the charm of the little Stone House, and the quality of the food they serve, I'd say the price is right on target. If they made their prices any lower they'd have to build a bigger Stone House.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMPricey, but delicious!A friend I went here on a Friday evening during Happy Hour (5:00pm). We got four of the small plates (truffle Mac 'n' cheese, curry shrimp, asparagus with a fried egg, pancetta, and crostini, AND a beet/blue cheese salad) and also an entree to share: cod with peppers and rice. It as a LOT of food! We left there absolutely stuffed and neither of us girls is a dainty eater. With all that food and a glass of wine each, the bill came out to about $80ish with tip. So I guess pretty steep depending on what you're looking for. This was higher end food, plated very nicely.
We sat outside in their beautiful little garden area since the weather was nice enough and it was fun seeing a nest of baby squirrels in the tree next to us.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMI NEVER write reviews, butI NEVER write reviews, but this restaurant is worth the effort! The food was absolute art and tasted as amazing as it looked. I came close to liking the plate! I will definitely be going back, as well as, highly recommending to others.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMExceptional Dining for TwoIt's a small restaurant and noise can be a factor, but we got a table tucked into a corner that allowed us to sit next to each other (adjacent sides of a square table) instead of across a table. Much more intimate, and a much more pleasant dining experience.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMAll 5 of us got seafood andAll 5 of us got seafood and our dishes were excellent!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMExceptional food and great,Exceptional food and great, not at all pretentious service. We had a wonderful time and it was perfect for before the Cirque de soleil show down the street.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMCan't wait to go backExcellent dinner. It's a small place-I think it only seats 32-so you are a little close together, fine as long as you know. It's a dining experience-time to enjoy every course, the ambience, and your company. We loved it! All the food was very good-but the roasted banana split was amazing-and we aren't necessarily dessert people. Short ribs were very good, the root veggies could have been cooked more uniformly. Our table also had the shrimp pasta and black cod and both raved about it. Highly recommend.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMA foody must!*****
My wife and I have had the pleasure and good fortune of dining at some the finest venues and we list this one in our top five. The others in our top five have Michelin stars or JBF award winning chefs. We think you'll agree!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGood flavors. Loved theirGood flavors. Loved their scallops starter. Nice innovative dishes. The strawberry dessert was out of the world.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food is always deliciousThe food is always delicious here. The sauce with the Pork tenderloin was incredible.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThe restaurant resides inThe restaurant resides in a house of sorts. The seating seemed to be a bit crowded and the noise level was extremely high. The pork belly and the sea bass were the highlight of my evening. Everything was cooked to perfection (in my eyes). Would definitely go back for more.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
