  • "A group of friends who had never tried The Stinking Rose had their first experience and it was awesome. It had been years since I was last there and it did not disappoint. The food was awesome and the service very attentive. Everything we ordered was great! I can't wait to return!"

  • "I had the worst experience ever, first the hostess didn't want to acknowledge my open table reservation, she was telling me that I didn't need one. Then they sat us into a private room in the back saying that we couldn't go to the dining room without waiting. So, we don't need a reservation but if we want a table in the dining room, we have to wait... We waited 30 minutes, then a waiter came to take our order, we got our food about 45 minutes to one hour later without any apology. Everyone at the table was complaining about the food, not once, a waiter came to check on us, another hour passed by, the waiter came to ask us about dessert. My wife had the 3/4 of her prime rib untouched, he didn't ask if something was wrong, we paid and left."

  • "Lived up to its reputation. Loved it. Great food (I had the Portobello "stake"), massive portions*, friendly staff, and interesting decor. *The portions truly are huge. Just be mindful if you're in town on holiday and don't have a fridge/microwave."

  • "We had heard about the "garlic-lover's" restaurant &, being garlic lovers, had to check it out, even though we don't usually go so far out of our way for a meal. It was our anniversary, so we wanted something special. We were VERY pleased with our choice. The food, service, ambiance, everything was exceptional!"

  • "The food was good. The waiter was very obviously irritated that we wanted to take our time through dinner. By take our time, I dont mean stay 2 hours. I mean order drinks and an appetizer and continue looking at the menu for our entrees, then order the entrees when the appetizer comes out. He asked twice "Are you finally ready to order or do you still need more time?". He never checked on us during dinner to see how the meal was or to refill any drinks. His overall demeanor was very off putting and not a good representation of the restaurant. We were really looking forward to a nice evening out with good food and wine since with 2 kids and a baby its an extremelly rare occurance. Its unfortunate we got this man as our server."

  • "This is an interesting restaurant that is great for kids, unique atmosphere and for those who love garlic. We sat on the back room which is like Dracula's lair with cobwebs, coffins and artifacts. My friends and I each had a martini which we were not impressed. Not a whole lot of flavor but presented in an individual shaker upon arrival. We were impressed with the food. Overall if you are looking for a unique atmosphere to take friends for an experience, have children or just love garlic, this is the place."

  • "I paid with a Visa gift card and debit card. the waiter asked me "how much was on it?" first time i have ever been asked that in a resturant. Many time you swipe the gift card and then it gives you a remaining balance to be paid and then i told him to swipe my Debit card for the remainer. This apparently was a problem because their system does not do that. icalled to find the balance of $71.38. so i told our waiter. he comes back saying the card was declined. He cannot do the full amount, so i said THEN JUST DO $71.00. Was this their first time ever coming accross a gift card? he comes back and says "they cannot do it because if i put a tip on it and the card doesnt cover it then Visa is responsible" im lost for words. Then was over charged"

  • "Dinner was absolutely amazing. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The service was perfect. The restaurant has an amazing atmosphere, although the restaurant was very busy, we never felt it. We were seated at a table surrounded by curtains and the wait staff was really on their game."

  • "This was my third visit to Stinking Rose, and it still leaves something to be desired. Overall, the food is good, but it doesn't meet, let alone exceed, the quality that I'd expect for a restaurant in Beverly Hills. At least I can say that I've been, but next time I'm in the area, I'm going to look for something new. It's worth a try, but I'm not certain about returning."

  • "Its a kitschy restaurant that is a bot of a theme park experience. They have garlic everything which as a garlic lover i find amazing but the actual taste of the food was lacking. The butter for the crab seemed fake, the saves were off and it just wasn't as tasty as I had hoped."

  • "My girlfriend and myself came here after hearing decent things about the place. On the positive... The restaurant is really cute. The inside had a nice fun feel to it. If I were judging on the ambiance alone I'd recommend. The foods however was lacking. We ordered steaks and they tasted OK but not great. We ordered the garlic appetizer after hearing good things about it. Those good things were wrong... Neither of us like the appetizer. It was way overrated and hard to eat. The service was great.. Very efficient and unobtrusive. Our server was very nice but also not the kind to be overly friendly and chatty. I'm glad I went and had the experience but I don't know if I would go again."

  • "This is our second time going here with my wife. We cant remember how our first time was or when it was, but it was really good. This second time we went, we celebrated our 2nd Year wedding anniversary. We love how everything was so organized and clean. The food was excellent. Props to the chef! The servers were very helpful and profesional. And at the end of our dinner, we got a surprise, which it brought the whole experience to the next level. We will be back here again and recommend this place to everyone to at least try it once."

  • "If there is a fault with The Stinking Rose it is that the tables are a little small. There were four of us and we were really crowded. The server was wonderful. He led us to a semi private room where we were able to have enough elbow room to be really comfortable. The food was exactly as expected, garlicky and delicious! This was not our first visit and it definitely will not be our last!"

  • "The Stinking Rose is a cool dimly lit garlic-themed restaurant with a nice variety of menu items. Prices are moderate to high and the ambience is nice."

  • "We've visited the SF location many times in the past. This was our first trip to the BH location. It was great, and a pleasant experience. The food was amazing, the waiter attentive, and decently priced."

  • "My son and a friend were visiting from Florida. We wanted to take them to a fun restaurant with good Italian food. We enjoyed the whole experience. My vegetarian daughter had lots of choices. I recommend the garlic ice cream for desert. Delicious!"

  • "We have been going there for years and this time was by far the best experience/service. Our food literally arrived 5 minutes after we ordered it and tasted the best it's ever been. We love The Stinking Rose!!!!"

  • "The food was overall pretty good. The garlic mashed potatoes were excellent. The garlic ice cream sure was different it was just as the server said you taste the garlic as an after taste. All the paintings on the wall were so beautiful and pretty to look at. Love the whole tent scene that was really cute and different although we did not sit in a tent. The bar seemed nice and the person playing the piano was doing an awesome job. Overall this restaurant was pretty good. I would have to say the food was cold when it was served to us in my opinion. Other than that I have no complaints."

  • "I had the prime rib it was extremely fatty. I was disappointed for the price. Our waiter was friendly but I asked for a coke it never came and he seemed extremely busy even though it was not crowded. I will probably only go again if its a special occasion that someone else plans there."

  • "Food is exceptional, and the service is great. I would only say the food comes out a bit too fast. We had barely started our appetizer when it arrived."

  • "The steak was good but the sea bass I ordered was a little small for the price and out came with a tasteless couscous that I didn't enjoy at all. The fish was salty and it should 've been served with lemon wedges to kill the saltiness. Mash potatoes or broccoli wedges would have been better. The chess pizza for the kid is no good, she didn't eat it."

  • "When I heard about the Stinking Rose, I thought the garlic in the food would be over baring and there wouldn't be too many items on the menu that were appetizing... Boy was I wrong!! The Stinking Rose is absolutely delicious, everything from the dinner rolls to the shrimp and crab taste amazing! The food is prepared with the right combination of garlic and seasoning! I travel all the way from the inland empire to dine here! It's worth it!!"

  • "Third time at SR, taste of food was good which at the end is what matters but had 3 small inconviniences. 1) pasta was apparently left standing and it stuck together forming a big lump of pasta, 2) ordered tap beer they had trouble with tanks, it came out 25 minutes later ( wAs not charged for beer, but again not great), 3) no kids menu (i am aware this is not dennys, but a small pasta portion or a small pizza is so easy to add to the menu). Lastly...custard ice cream on menu, unless my taste buds were numb from all the garlic, tasted exactly like vanilla! And would it be so difficult to add a cookie or lady finger or anything, not just a plain scoop of ice cream!!"

  • "The only thing I like about this restaurant is for it's garlic novelty. Other than that, the easiest item (roasted garlic) was so overcooked it turned black, and yet they still served it. Not sure how they didn't catch it before sending it out since it wasn't busy, but fortunately they took it back without question. I always like the mussels and shrimp, it's hard to mess up. The pasta dishes my company got were honestly disgusting. I am sorry to have to use that word. One was over seasoned with paprika, the other was so oily you could only eat from the top. This is the 4th time I've been here because I love garlic, the ice cream is great and the spread for the bread is tasty, I eat it in spoonfuls. Makes me sad the kitchen is a mess."

  • "With reservations, we were seated right away, but it took awhile for the server to get to us. But once he did, he apologized and kindly explained that there were a lot of birthdays going on. After that, the rest of the experience was amazing! We explained to him that it was our first time and he recommended us great selections. Steaks were DELICIOUS and perfectly cooked. Garlic galore but not too much to ruin the food. We couldnt make up our mind for desert so after we did order, he gave us samples of the other things to try. It was amazing food, amazing, service, and an overall great experience. Each table feels cozy and secluded so definitely a place to go for alone time (if youre into the clown and circus stuff). Stinking rose is a must."

  • "This is the 3rd time that I've been here and it seems like it gets better every time! The 40 cloves chicken was amazing and the garlic ice cream was just out of this world. Service was good too but they forgot our bread refills 2 times! "
