The Stinking RoseFinally ate hereI had heard about this place a lot from friends and finally made it over. The food was great. We ate the garlic bath, salmon... we ate so much garlic we had headaches. So beware! I went with my girlfriend and we just ordered a bunch of different dishes and shared them to get a little bit more of menu.

Known for their use of garlic, any item is most flavorful. The meatloaf entree had the most fans getting a 2 thumbs up from each who ordered. The Steamed Clams best I ever had. The steak entree was served very very rare and had to send it back to the kitchen. The waiter was very polite and took care of it. I love all the eclectic sections of the restaurant. We all tried the garlic ice cream and it was delicious. The evening ended with a photo...a photo where each of us was given a hat to wear that was a giant glove of garlic ! I'd never been there, but we were seated in our own private room off the piano bar area, so we were serenaded the whole evening, but it was still secluded enough to enjoy our own conversation. Out reservation was for 1:00 and we were seated at exactly 1. Asked for an addition of shrimp to a basic pasta dish for our son's meal and the amount added was substantial and cooked perfectly. All of our dishes were excellent. One small dissapointment, on the menu my wife's dish was supposed to come with creamed spinach. The spinach not only was not creamed but very dry, like frozen you can buy in a supermarket. Caesar salad was excellent. Steak cooked perfectly. However, the food was delicious and pleasantly arranged. The wine list, though I did not purchase any, was extensive in its variety. If you plan to take a hot date to this location, you might want to bring some mints or chewing gum for any post-dinner cuddling. EVERYTHING is garlic-y. I mean, after all, it is "garlic-themed". I tried some of the best chicken, off of my friend's plate. Personally, I order the Neon Ravioli, and boy...what a surprise. It was unlike any ravioli I've ever tasted. Even the birthday desert was garlic ice-cream.
A very unique dinner spot. None of us has been to The Stinking Rose and we all thought it would be a fun place to meet. We had some great appetizers to start, very tasty of course there was garlic in them. We all got our entrees and we all thought our food was very good. Very seasoned and tasty. The dessert was a little bit too complex and too normal so we ended up passing on the dessert. All and all we were able to have a good time and we were able to talk to each other without a lot of noise.
