  • "This was probably the best prime rib I have ever eaten. Our waiter told us they use the same meat vendor as Lawrey's, but add a garlic rub. It was really amazing. The creamed spinach was great too. Nice martini with cucumber and lime. Overall, a terrific meal."

  • "My wife and I enjoyed our first time at this restaurant. However, after hearing many great reviews from friends and acquaintances about the food here, we were a little disappointed. My wife's Prime Rib was very fatty - so much so that she cut away more than she consumed. My Pork Chop was good, though. The setting is festive and the drinks very tasty. The servers were attentive and prompt. No waiting. I was saddened that I was not more impressed, but it is interesting enough that I might try it again just to try a different dish or two."

  • "I got the opportunity to visit this restaurant while 'dine la' was taking place. Our waiter was a good guy and did everything in his job description. However, the server was the problem. He kinda threw our plate on the table and the food itself looked really dry. I mean, if you have a problem with your job or you personal life, don't take it out on us. I've always wanted to try this place, and I'm glad I finally got the chance to. Never going to be a returning customer though. Keep up the great work guys!"

  • "I've always wanted to try this place since I'm a big fan of garlic. I'm surprised however that as I walked into the restaurant I wasn't hit with a strong garlicky aroma. The setup of the restaurant is interesting and so were the decor - bottle of wines and garlic hanging above your head and funny pictures all around the place. The service was okay, our waitress wasn't around much and I couldn't say she was very friendly either. The longest thing to come out was the dessert, which I think they forgot at one point and just gave us the check. This dining experience wasn't as great as I expected. The food was alright - the portions were good and it was a good deal. The service could be better."

  • "Horrible. Dine LA week made us finally try out of curiosity - and curiosity definitely got to us. No less than six "Happy Birthday" songs within one hour. Food was sad. Just sad. Final insult was a glass of vanilla ice cream that came out of a soft ice cream pump, plopped down on the table. Oh my."

  • "Since the dineLA deal was going on I decided to take my husband out for an early birthday dinner. I'm glad we made reservations since the wait was around 20-30 mins for walk-ins. We both ended up ordering off the dineLA menu ($35) and received the garlic and olive oil app with a tiny house salad, an entree, and ice cream for dessert. I chose the boneless short rib and it was amazing! I thought the portion was going to be small because of dineLA but it was great and it was served with garlic mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. My husband chose the lasagna but he didn't realize it was vegetarian and was dissappointed. lucky for him I shared my short rib. They brought him garlic ice cream and sang t0o him since I noted it on the reservation."

  • "I have been to this location two times. I choose this location whenever I am celebrating a special event in the Los Angeles area. On this particular occasion, my girlfriend returned from vacation in Armenia. The restaurant provided a perfectly private area for us to catch up, enjoy good food and good drinks and give her a taste of home once again."

  • "We went there as part of our yearly DineLA experience. The service was very good as was the food. We were seated immediately and received our entrees before we were even done with the first course. As the evening progressed the restaurant became very crowded and the noise level increased in that it was hard to hear each other even though we went on a weeknight. I would recommend this restaurant, but dress casual and don't order the garlic ice cream."

  • "In short, I was very disappointed. I had been anticipating eating here for years. I love garlic so I figured this upscale hot spot would be a great place to enjoy some delicious food. My 40 clove chicken was so dry; the garlic mashed potatoes that came with it were just okay. My husbands black linguine entree and seafood soup were also just okay. The spinach cheese dip was great, but you can't really mess up a bowl of spinach cheese. I will say that our waitor was great (he took my chicken entree off of our bill, and earned a large tip from us), and I liked that they do not have a corkage fee (it was nice to at least enjoy a few glasses of my own wine since I hated my food). I'm glad other people like this place, but I won't be going back."

  • "When booking my reservation I advised that we were celebrating our 22nd yr. anniversary and when we were seated at a table that would allow privacy curtains to be pulled, that was never offered. We had people on both sides of us while we were there and I thought by making the special note to our reservations we would have a little more offered. I also anticipated the food to be over the top with garlic and that was not the case do a little disappointed but the food was good. Over all it was nice dinner and pleasant place but won’t go out of my way for it."

After 16 days of great food experiences elsewhere, I must say (and my wife and daughter would fully agree) your place was by far the best experience. The place is very appealing, the service was exceptional, the food was absolutely perfect on all levels. My wife moaned over the perfectly rare filet mignon, my daughter's eyes rolled back in delight over the baby back ribs, and I had the best pork chop I've ever had. The sides were just as delectable. Thank you for a wonderful meal and experience and for making our last night in town a wonderful one. We also greatly appreciate you not charging a corkage fee. Joe Garza P.S.   • "I had the worst experience ever, first the hostess didn't want to acknowledge my open table reservation, she was telling me that I didn't need one. Then they sat us into a private room in the back saying that we couldn't go to the dining room without waiting. So, we don't need a reservation but if we want a table in the dining room, we have to wait... We waited 30 minutes, then a waiter came to take our order, we got our food about 45 minutes to one hour later without any apology. Everyone at the table was complaining about the food, not once, a waiter came to check on us, another hour passed by, the waiter came to ask us about dessert. My wife had the 3/4 of her prime rib untouched, he didn't ask if something was wrong, we paid and left."

  • "The food was good. The waiter was very obviously irritated that we wanted to take our time through dinner. By take our time, I dont mean stay 2 hours. I mean order drinks and an appetizer and continue looking at the menu for our entrees, then order the entrees when the appetizer comes out. He asked twice "Are you finally ready to order or do you still need more time?". He never checked on us during dinner to see how the meal was or to refill any drinks. His overall demeanor was very off putting and not a good representation of the restaurant. We were really looking forward to a nice evening out with good food and wine since with 2 kids and a baby its an extremelly rare occurance. Its unfortunate we got this man as our server."
