"The former Derek's has been redone on the interior, more open. The fireplace still there in the more active bar area. The service and greeting were impeccable. The food was fine. The seafood flan was a favorite appetizer. My striped bass was disappointing and not flavorful and too salty. My wife's shrimp and scallop special was fine. We wished there was some cooked oyster dishes; we are not fans of the raw. The prices were very fair. We will come again."

"We were very disappointed. Where do we start. Parking is very bad. The small lot in front gets full very early and the rear lot has signs posted that reserve the spaces for the tenants of the center. The hostess said to go ahead and park there, no one ever gets towed. Not very comforting. The service was really bad. The waiter was young, inexperienced and not attentive to our table or his entire section at all. The food selection is limited in the sense that if you are not willing to experiment with the few dishes on the menu you are hard pressed to find something simple you can eat. I had the chicken and it was just OK, nothing that wow-ed me. Desert was terrible and the drinks we weak. Sorry folks, that is as kind as I can be."

"As before, food very good though less exceptional than on previous visit, where the steak was excellent; this time ordered scallop dish, which was similar to my wife's preparation of scallops, so I was perhaps hoping for something a little different. And the fish flan/lobster cream sauce seemed less exciting (maybe because less cream sauce!)
Also seating was imperfect, as my seat abutted the seat behind that was occupied by a person of significant breadth and depth.
The waiter's recitation of the specials was a little rapid and difficult to recall, which was probably my problem more than his. On previous visit our waiter took his time, and was tolerant of my imperfect short-term memory, (this may explain why I ordered the scallops!)"

"Have eaten here before for dinner, was very good and expecting the same for brunch. Althought the food was good, it was not as impressive. Service was very inconsistent, not sure the waiter was communicating well with the rest of the staff. Items were not broght when requested. The Jazz was a nice background, but service needs to improve!"

"I was excited about the StillRoom, but wasn't overly impressed with the food. The waiter's accent was extremely thick and hard to understand, I'm an immigrant and am used to many different accents, but it was really, really hard to understand the waiter. Food was decent, but there are better restaurants in Pasadena for the price."

"The place is lovely and the service friendly. Our swordfish, ordered by 3 of 4 people, was dry and overcooked. The waiter was somewhat inattentive, though other stall members were warm and attentive. Unfortunately, there are too many other places to go rather than even try again."
