Was a little leery, since Circus Circus is one of the older hotels, but booked anyway. Had a party of 4 and were very pleased. This trip we also ate at Charlie Palmer's at the Four Seasons, and have also dined at Del Friscos, Picasso, Morel's, Carnevino and others on previous trips. Food was terrific, GM put us in a nice table, and we had a great experience. I will definately reccommend, and come back again.

Unlike many steak houses your steak is not a la carte. My black bean soup (excellent) was included along with my baked potato and veg. The steak was delicious and cooked as ordered. Had the 2 lobster tails and petite fillet....both excellent but the fillet was the favorite of the two. Great food, atmosphere, service and wine. The average waiter has been working there for 15 years so that's got to tell you something. It's a profession vs a job and it shows. It is located in the middle of Circus Circus but don't let that scare you. When you walk into the casino your friend will want to turn around and leave but don't let them. I had found the restaurant on open table so was still a little apprehensive whilst walking through Circus Circus with my wife as to weather the reviews on the web site would be accurate. All I can say is that it was a great experience. Numerous awards were proudly displayed, the efficient and friendly hostess, steak aging room on display, the smell of a proper charcoal grill in the middle of the restaurant, horseshoe tables and very traditional steakhouse decor. What I loved most about it was that it felt so authentic and traditional. It opened in 1968 I think. The modern chic steakouse has its place, but this as we say in the UK "was the nuts". Anyone that has the chance should make The Steakhouse a must on their visit to Vegas. The food looks expensive on the outside, but when you figure $51 for a good sized filet mignon which included a choice of a salad or soup, baked potato, garlic mashed potatoes or wild rice and the vegetable of the day, it was cheap and extremely delicious. We will definitely be eating there every night when & if we get back to Vegas. We had a party of six people, and all of us ordered the 24 oz. porterhouse. The steaks were wonderful when it came to flavor, and very tender. The filet side of the porterhouse pulled apart with a fork only. You have a choice of dinner salad or black bean soup. The steak was served with choice of potato and chef's vegetable of the day. Some of us ordered drinks, and two people ordered dessert. With tax and gratuity, it came out to $70 per person. Go during Happy Hour and drinks are 50% off. Two of the steaks were medium, the other two were rare, but my husband ate it anyway. Our very attentive waiter asked twice if everything was OK, so we had the opportunity to send it back, but chose not to - two teenagers, it was late, and we were SO hungry!
