  • " WE ordered salad and then the waiter brought out a baked potato then followed with my steak I then said don't we get our salad first Then the poor guy was very embarrassed and took back my dinner and then proceeded to make our salad which was okay but he did miss putting a few ingredients in. We then had our dinner which was great but after finishing I realized he had forgotten my mushroom and bacon side I had ordered . Your restaurant was very kind in not charging us for the salad and giving us a free dessert to take back to our room Overall we really felt sorry for our waiter and maybe he was new We certainly will be returning on our next visit and I always recommend this to our friends"

The service was outstanding greeted by the Maitre' D, then the waiter . he was most attentive , catered to all our wishes Thank-you for a outstanding evening .   • "I would recommend the steakhouse but only for specific items on the menu. The lobster ravioli is superb and very reasonable. Eleven dollars for an appetizer that I eat as an entree. The steaks are nothing too special. The table side ceaser is also quite delicious at 18.00 for two people but huge portions. Our waiter seemed annoyed with us because my husband could not make up his mind about the wine but very timely on the service. So for the lobster and ceaser it is a fantastic dinner. Oh the au gratin potatoes were horrible!! Frozen hash browns I suspect, very dry and tasteless. Nice quiet restaurant."

Our meat was done to perfection, the fresh asparagus, baked potato and even the bread also were perfect. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. They have and excellent wine list, we settled on a private label, Yakima Red, bottled exclusively for The Steakhouse at the Reef."

  • "Oyster Rockefeller best I've ever had. Ordered steak med rare more rare server insisted chefs were very good at cooking steaks so I stuck with med rare. Steak was medium unfortunately, the peppercorn sauce was great. My fiancées chicken was very good alittle sweet on the sauce but very tender. The potatoes were very poor, the mashed taste grainy and the Swedish potatoes were nothing as the server described not creamy just covered in thick crust of cheddar. Our server was great very accommodating and polite. I would come back for oysters and service!"

Crackers and dungenese crab compliments of the chef, sorbet compliments of the maitre de just added to it. BTW, they were both delicious. Servings were timed just right, neither rushed or too slow.   • "Best steak house in the Bellingham, WA area. Compare to a Morton's or Ruth's Chris except you don't have to ala carte every part of the meal. I'd have to say the menu and wine list has a lot to do with the restaurant's popularity. And they deliver the goods as far as taste and quality you'd expect. Very elegant. Sometimes reservations sold out on OpenTable so try early in the day or a day in advance to get a good seating time. Great service and not intrusive. Lot's of parking at the Casino."

  • "This is probably the BEST food within 20 miles of Downtown Bellingham. The menu is quintessential 1980's fine dining. Tableside service, knowledgeable, well trained wait staff, excellent wine and the eagerness to make it a great experience all add up to "The Best". Not all is rosy however, one must first traverse the smoke laden Casino in order to reach the restaurant. And, with it comes the unmistakable foul odor of residual smoke on your clothing and palette."

  • "I read several reviews which rated the food as excellent so I was expecting a great meal. We started with the seafood tower which was excellent. Next we had a table side Caesar salad which was poorly seasoned, almost flavorless. I ordered a ribeye steak medium rare. It was over cooked and had to be sent back. The second steak was perfectly cooked and very good. My dining partner ordered the twin lobster tails and they were very over cooked as well. They were almost uneatable. We did not send them back. Overall disappointing but maybe it was just an off night."

  • "I made reservations for the sole purpose to enjoy French Press Coffee and to be entertained as our server set our dessert on fire. We were not disappointed! The flambe was a first for both my friend and I, and it lived up to our expectations. The coffee is served with plain fresh whipped cream, shaved dark & white chocolate & Demitasse Rock Candy Sticks to stir in sweetness! Service for 2 was only $5! I'm going to start making reservations for coffee before I gamble - If I don't win, at least I'll be "up" for the night!! ;)"
