Yet they don't let their menu go stale and this makes return visits worthwhile. Their new Gluten Free clam chowder is superior to many in the area, gluten or gluten free. The portions are appropriately sized (perhaps a little too big) and the service is what you expect to make the dining experience enjoyable and focused on your dinner conversation not the restaurant. The only negative comment would be towards the serving temperature of the grilled trout as it was obviously off the grill for 4-5 minutes before getting to our table, far too long for this type of fish.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat DinnerWe had a lovely dinner with great service. Our party of four all agreed the food was outstanding. Started with oysters & a sushi roll for an app. Obviously fresh--a great start to the meal. The four entrees--Black & Blue Sword, Ora Salmon, Baked Stuffed Shrimp and Tuna Steak--were all beautifully plated and served hot. Absolutely delicious. Servers were well-trained and very good at their craft. We had a birthday girl with us, and the Sole hit a home run with a chocolate cake/vanilla ice cream combo that arrived with a lit candle and Happy Birthday written on the plate with icing. Nice touch....no embarrassing groups coming to the table, clapping & singing.
Well done!! The only negative is that the dining rooms can get noisy. I made my reservation on my IPhone Opentable app and when we got there, we were seated right away. From the rolls to the dessert everything was fantastic. We had the Ora Salmon which was richly flavored and scallops glazed in maple syrup. Perfectly cooked with generous portions. Service is attentive and friendly. There was a special that was very well priced. The wine list is good. We love the Sole because the atmosphere is casual and friendly while the food is top notch, beautifully prepared and consistently delicious. Our only complaint ever is that because it is so good, it tends to be crowded and noisy. 3-UNIQUE menu offers wide selection: I thought it was great that the menu had a choice of tried-and-true favorites but also some inventive meals for those who wanted to experiment. (Example: Grilled tuna (tried-and-true) or Grilled tuna stuffed with sundried tomatoes, feta cheese & basil)
Definitely will return, and recommend you check it out!
