  • "We had the lobster rolls for brunch and they were extremely flavorful and satisfying. Lots of fresh lobster with celery or fennel?, lemon aioli and small seeded & diced bits of tomato that were a surprisingly nice addition. Old Bay chips are also a winner."

  • "Good food, efficient wait staff and nice ambience. Gets mega busy for Sunday brunch so book ahead!! Will definitely return. Does a nice Bloody Mary!"

  • "Since we live in the neighborhood, this is one of our restaurants of choice. Whether you want to eat a lot or a little, The Smith can offer it. The Burrata is excellent as was the Salmon. You cannot leave without having the Banana Cream Pie in the jar. Keep up the great work."

  • "Our waitress was friendly, helpful and informative, but her attitude changed when we opted to have no dessert."

  • "We only had a little time before catching our train and the waitstaff made sure our food came quickly without feeling rushed. Casey G was highly attentive, friendly and courteous. The kale and quinoa salad was well balanced and the mushroom omelet was tasty. Will definitely return on my next visit to NYC."

  • "We had a good solid meal at The Smith at Lincoln Center. Is it extraordinary? No. But the prices are reasonable and it is a very fun, lively atmosphere. We actually noted, however, that the acoustics were incredible because as loud as it was, we were able to have a conversation at the table without yelling at each other. Lots of groups of 4-6 were there. Service was excellent except that our waiter forgot to bring our appetizer. Not a big deal as we had plenty to eat and service was relatively fast. Close to the theaters if you want to come before or after the show. Great outdoor area and still lively inside where we were seated. Diverse menu so a good place for a mixed group of friends."

  • "I had lunch before attending a performance of ABT, The Smith is convenient to Lincoln Center, the food was good as were the servers who too care of us. The servers were very attentive and warm. The noise level was energetic, it didn't interfere with table conversation and it gave me an "up" feeling which added to the enjoyment."

  • "The Smith is always reliable for a good experience and great food. For brunch, I particularly recommend the Potato Waffle Benedict."

  • "The services is slow and not good. Waiters and bus boys are very slow."

  • "I was able to try two items from the menu and was impressed with both, and many other dishes piqued my interest. Service was very good, attentive without being obtrusive. My only complaint is the noise level - it was very hard to hear the person next to me. The interior is tiled, so perhaps there is little they can do about it, but I hope they will try."

  • "This was our second visit to The Smith at Lincoln Center. We love the menu, always a great selection of beverages both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. One of my favorites is the ginger cucumber soda. They are very accommodating if you are making performance at Lincoln Center and they take reservations which is a must during busy times."

  • "Went for brunch, the vanilla bean French toast was awesome. Server was a little slow and inatentive."
    Dined on 7/4/2014
  • "Huge portions of tasty American bar and comfort food amidst a loud and lively crowd. The chips, peppers and deviled eggs bolster high calorie togetherness. A young crowded crowd and party atmosphere. Little refinement, lotta fun."

  • "First date here. Great service. All around, great experience."

  • "The Smith is always packed and hence the noise level can be high. The food is consistently good but the service can be spotty."

  • "Good food great vibe!!! good for groups. Service was great. Nice 30-40's crowd. neighborhood GEM. First time there but will be back for sure"

  • "We were thankful we made reservations, as it was busy at 11:45. My arugula, brie, and roasted chicken salad was exactly what I wanted, and the passion punch was delicious and light. The wait staff was attentive and very welcoming and funny. My bagel was a little "meh", mostly because it had been buttered and put on the griddle rather than toasted, but that is what I get for ordering a bagel and a non-bagel place! We got the "quarter pounder" cookies to go, and they were a great treat while walking around the park later in the day. Would highly recommend for brunch, they had a lot of great options and everyone in my party was very happy with their meal."

  • "The Smith has been a favorite of mine since I moved to NYC!!"

  • "We ate before a Philharmonic concert. Excellent watermelon gazpacho and seared tuna salad. Pineapple tart was fantastic."
    Dined on 6/28/2014
  • "I ate at the Smith to be close to Lincoln Center before theater. Yes, it's convenient, but nothing about the restaurant, except its location would have me return! The noise level was deafening (even with a request for a quiet table). The waiter was indifferent. He brought the menus, took our order, but needed to be asked for everything--no salt and pepper on the table, no spoon, sugar or milk when the half full coffee cups arrived. He must have been assigned to half the restaurant! I don't even remember what I ordered! Don't waste your time or money!"

  • "Went there for lunch before ballet. This was the perfect spot. Food was great, wine was wonderful and service very efficient. I give it an A"
    Dined on 6/28/2014
  • "too much noise, cant here anything at all about the conversation. we used phone app to measure it, it was over 100 db!!"
    Dined on 6/27/2014
  • "Only done here if you wish to dine with people who have no clue how to behave in public. The service was marginal and the volume deafening."
    Dined on 6/27/2014
  • "The Smith is packed just like everywhere else near lincoln center. food isn't anything to write home about. we were left shouting across the table trying to converse check out the new hip joint but limit your expectations"
    Dined on 6/27/2014
  • "Noisy and generally uncomfortable with average food, not insane prices and close to Lincoln Center. But if you want to have a conversation and be comfortable, look elsewhere."
    Dined on 6/26/2014
  • "I ordered a burger. Plain. Nothing on it. Definitely no pepper. I have allergy. Medium rare. It arrived raw inside. Waiter did not come over to see if we were happy with our food. Finally I sent a bus boy to get him. Burger went back and arrived back ten minutes later. It was medium rare but now pepper had been sprinkled in top. Same scenario. No waiter. Sent for him. Burger went back and 15 min later finally arrived as ordered. By this time my friend had finished her meal as I was starting mine. Uggggggh! Very stressful dinner. Also so noisy we could not have a conversation."
    Dined on 6/26/2014
  • "There aren't that many great options in the Lincoln Center area, so this is a viable place before a concert. The noise level is off the charts. The food was adequate, not stellar. Our Caesar Salad was very nicely seasoned and we split it. The fried chicken is enough for two people unless you're particularly hungry--order a side veggie, it only comes with a waffle. The service is mixed. Portions are more than ample. This is not a special occasion restaurant, but it meets the need and gets you out on time."

  • "Good food, good service but too loud an environment for a comfortable dinner. Probably great for a lunch crowd"

  • "Our group of three oldsters loved the food and the service. All staff was attentive and accommodating. The noise level was too much for us, alas."

  • "We were 5 for dinner, pre-ballet. Service was fine though it took a long time to get and pay our bill. Chicken Pot Pie was overly salty, which it hadn't been on other meals. Burratta and soft shell crab were good."
