Food was average. Bread appeared to be reheated. Our server was enthusiastic. I was told by our server that the shrimp and grits were the best...not the case at all.

Lured by the mystique of the riverfront. The Shrimp Factory finds itself in the middle of the busy Savannah Riverwalk. Pricey fresh & petit seafood leaves you ready for dessert.

I had the shrimp trio. The quality of the food was very god and I enjoyed the dipping sacuce for the coconut shrimp. The Quanity of food was low. There were 5 small shrimp scampi and the breaded shimp were not much better as far as quanity. The coconut shrip was very good and quanity was ok.

Was my favorite resturant in Savannah. Shrimp Stuffed Savannah was my favorite dish and I would travel to Savannah at least once a year to have it. I missed last year and when I went back last Friday night, 8/8/14, the rice that came as a side dish with the stuffed shrimp had toally changed. The shrimp were smaller, but the rice had changed so much that it made the dish totally different. Used to be light rice with a very light sauce, now is a heavy rice with a tomato sauce. This dish was the only reason I went there as there are MANY seafood resturants in Savannah. I will not be back.

We had a mixed evening here. It was a Saturday night and it was packed but we got a last minute reservation a couple hours before. We were seated right away but put in a table stuck in the back corner of the bar by the kitchen. Food was really good , seafood boils and shrimp and grits well seasoned. Did have to get the manger to get our check to leave on time for a tour.

Most meals come with Caesar salad prepared table side. Our waitress was very accommodating and tossed with half the dressing, skipped croutons. Also helped with gluten free options. Said her fave was shrimp & grits & it was excellent. Also had stuffed shrimp, also excellent. Hearty portions. Service was spotty. Restroom was dirty and one stall lacked TP. great location and window seat perfect for people watching.

Set right on the Savannah River, The Shrimp Factory is a great spot for good food with a good atmosphere. The interior is nautical, so the kids will love it. I had the Oysters Rockefeller to start... they were delicious. My main course was the crab stuffed flounder, which was also very good. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals. The service was good. I would definitely go again.

Used to come here in late 90's for awesome seafood bisque, Caesar salad and bread, but now it seems the ingredients are not as good, lacking the flavor and richness in both the bisque and the salad. Bread also not as good, but still meets expectations of this level of restaurant. Sad that it is only good now, not great. Location on River Street is still a plus and the interior is also a plus.

  • Dirty and Lots of flies

We have eaten at this restaurant several times over the years and it seems that it has become run down and dirty. There were at least 4 flies flying around us while we ate. The place just didn't seem fresh and clean-it was dingy and grimy. I was disappointed in our experience. We will not eat there again and will not recommend it. There are plenty of other places that have fantastic seafood and much cleaner!

  • A bucket list venue

Due to the fabulous location and river front scenery, this is a bucket list place to eat. Don't expect gourmet quality food and instead, enjoy the quick service and tourist area meal. If you are a foodie perfectionist then look elsewhere for higher quality and higher priced meals. We dressed relatively casual (collared, button down shirt) and enjoyed the convenience of hot weather street survival and appropriate dinner wear.

The food, service, and ambiance were perfect with a capital GREAT! It was my husbands birthday and was a great choice. The food was outstanding. We had scallops to start and my husband had the shrimp trio and I had one of the best crab stuffed flounder dishes that I have had. (And that is many, many times) This is a great choice for anyone.

My husband had chosen the shrimp trio. The current menu in the restaurant states coconut shrimp instead of the stuff crab.shrimp. They had no problem with the substitution. I order the crab legs and shrimp. We loved everything about the restaurant. I recommend the peach long island tea. We will visit again.

Went there on a Friday night based on reviews. Wanted a reasonably priced decent meal. We ordered oysters and shrimp with bacon as appetizer. Oysters were OK but the shrimp was very disappointing. Not fresh, dry and overcooked. Then had shrimp with pasata we asked to have it with no tomatoes and it came with tomatoes. The pasta tasted like burnt oil. We complained but were not offered a new dish even though we had only one bite, it was not edible. Very very dissapointing. Would not recommened it.
