Diner Reviews
  • "The shed is known for its food, its awesome maitre'd and the wine. The brunch was no exception. Always fantastic food down to the last bite and you can count on excellent service."

  • "This was our first time at the the Shed. I had the Sunday Supper (arugula salad, stroganoff, and red velvet cupcake) - which was quite good. Often times, these sort of price fix menus fall flat, but the Shed delivered. We tried a few of the small plates for starters. The pimento cheese app was a hit. I would pass on the smoked beef belly springroll next time. The desserts were a bit ho hum, but passable. My only complaint was that despite the restaurant being pretty empty, the inside was incredible warm and stuffy. We had to move to a table outside to cool off. Considering this is Atlanta, and it's summer, that is saying something. The patio, however, is quite nice, and we actually preferred it."

  • "I am a frequent flyers at The Shed and never get anything put the best. From the greeting upon our arrival to the food that taste oh so good and great service has never failed us yet!"

  • "This spot is the most consistent as far as excellence in food and service. By far my favorite in Atlanta."

  • "I have come to The Shed many times for brunch and always found it enjoyable but I decided to try out their friend chicken Wednesday and I must say the food was great! It was seasoned well and still quite most. I would have enjoyed it to be a bit crispier and have the option to do all white or dark (the chef prepares 33 plates/Wednesday and each is a breast and a leg) but overall I was really pleased. I would definitely come again."

  • "I normally don't leave reviews, but this was quite possibly the worst meal I've had in Atlanta. The grits with goat cheese were mediocre at best, which is the only good thing I have to say about any if the items I ordered. Save your money and go to Holeman & Finch."

  • "We dined at brunch. Although the Bloody Mary was outstanding, the meal itself was just average."

  • "Love The Shed, relaxed atmosphere, good food, good wine and GREAT service."

  • "I love the Shed and for me it is a place where I can go at the end of a tough week, have a really nice dinner and glass of wine, and be treated well. I really would go every week, that's how pleasant and reliable it is. I just have to do a shoutout for the wait staff who are so nice!"

  • "We came on a whim for drinks and decided to try their three course Sunday Supper. Each course, from the appetizer with honey comb to the salmon with a molasses sauce, was cloyingly sweet and the dessert was a frozen solid ice cream sandwich. Great idea for a fixed cost menu on Sunday to drive business but the food was mediocre at best."

  • "The first two times we dined at the SHED, we were enamored with the good service and reasonably priced well prepared food; however, this last time may be the last time. The menu has not changed and the selection of large plates is too limited. We would like to come back when there is some more selection."

  • "Amazing signature cocktails. Knowledgable staff. Tasty menu. How can you lose? You have to try the chicken liver pate. Crazy good. And if you like burgers, get it with the egg and bacon. Yum!"

  • "Whether Collard or Mustard Green "Pho", they are both delicious. Don't miss ordering it. The Squid Ink Tortellini with Crispy Calamari is also very good. The service was excellent. I look forward to returning."

  • "Went for the special fired chicken night. Interesting recipe. If you like Indian spices, you will love the dies chicken on Wednesday night! Get there early and try Sean's lemoncello. It delicious. Or better, dont try and save it all for me. "

  • "We had reservations for Mothers Day and the brunch was extremely tasty. The collard greens and cornbread was scrumptious. Everything on the menu was really good. We had a great time. Think we'll be going back."

  • "We went for Mother's Day and Friend and I that couldn't be with our Mothers that day. The SERVICE was over the top, the food was great and we had a great table outside. There are panels that are hung out on the patio that still allowed you to see the view, but block the sun. Great place. Can't wait to go back. YUM"

  • "Great experience....have already booked our next visit."

  • "If all you know about the SHED is that it was seen in the movie "The Blind Side" you're missing out. The warm, low-key decor lends palpable ambience to the room. Service from both staff and waitstaff was unpretentious yet professional from beginning to end. The menu will suit everyone from inveterate vegans to chronic carnivores. I don't think there's much point in reviewing the menu because my impression is it changes seasonally, but the veggies and salads were flawless; fresh, seasonal, and delicious. At least some of the meats are sourced locally (e.g.,Springer Mountain Farms chicken). If you are an oenophile take advantage of a good-sized "by-the-glass" list & VERY REASONABLE bottle markups. Ask about $20 bottles 2 nites/week! "

  • "We met some friends from out of town on the patio for a few glasses of wine. Great atmosphere and good service. We enjoyed very much and would recommend to others if looking for a causal location with an interesting selection of food. Friday is 20 dollar bottle of wine!"

  • "The SHED was a great Grant Park area find. Everything about it was awesome. I went there for a pick me up and found a place I might just call one of my own."

  • "I was disappointed with the Easter brunch. The pork and beef brisket were tough. The salmon was moist and delicious. As always, I enjoyed the chicken with bourbon sauce. All of the advertised desserts were not available. My party was limited to cupcakes and blond brownies. "

  • "The atmosphere and food were amazing! We took our time and tried everything on the buffet. Very impressed. I felt comfortable with all the other guests and believe the server made our time as enjoyable as possible. Overall an impeccable experience."

  • "We found this place when we randomly searched Google for a place to eat dinner. The whole experience was outstanding including the food, wine and overall service. Can't wait to go back!"

  • "I went with my partner for his birthday for the first time. Server greeted us and mentioned the fact one of us had a birthday as I placed on reservation. Nice. Food was very good although difficult to sort through what can be shared versus a single meal (other than price). Good wine selection and great desserts. We will come back, but likely with more friends. Trends towards groups. Parking close by. "

  • "This was our 2nd trip to the Shed. The first was after a stopping off here for a few drinks, while we awaited our table at Gunshow. The drinks were splendid and prompted us to return for a full dinner. On this visit the food was very good. We especially liked the grits. The cocktails were also top notch. My one complaint is with the way the hostess decided to seat the guest. We ate early around 6:00 and the restaurant was almost empty. We were seated off by ourselves. A couple with two small children came in, after us. They were seated right next to us. There were lots of empty tables away from everyone. The kids were well behaved. It just made for a awkward situation and kind of killed the romantic atmosphere."

  • "The food is unusual without being too weird. Small portions at low prices make it easy to try a little of a lot of interesting things. Terrific Bloody Marys!"

  • "My first visit to The Shed for dinner was incredible. We tried the steak, scallops and several of the vegetables. This visit, for brunch was okay. The omelets were overcooked, pimento & green tomatoes bland, Our group of five enjoyed each others company and the atmosphere. Mary"

  • "This restaurant is slightly beyond my budget but I come here anyways. Everything is so delicious and I enjoy the homey feeling of the restaurant. This is absolutely my favorite restaurant in Atlanta."

  • "Consistently in Atlanta's Top 50 Restaurants, the Shed at Glenwood has been notable and crowded since opening. The handful of times I've been the food has been consistently solid but well short of memorable. For as busy and what appeared short staffed, the service was accommodating. The drinks were well rounded and not to strong or weak. The kitchen staff has always been able to cook brunch (eggs, bacon, etc.) proteins (medium rare) near perfect to order. Plating really needs work as depending on the dish, affects how you taste and experience the food. Has looked just plain sloppy the last 2 times. The reasonable prices are a star attraction. My restaurateur friend commented that you would pay as much for brunch at a meat and three."

  • "Went back for a second meal at THE SHED....just as good as the first time around. Everything we ate was awesome! Loved the himachi and the beef tartar is just to die for..."

  • "Soup was much too thick. Fried chicken was delicious but the skin was burnt, although the meat was quite juicy. Spicy barbeque sauce was excellent. Dumplings in the chicken and dumplings were not dumplings--not quite sure what they were."

  • "This is one of out favorite brunch spots, I'm always happy when the weather is good and we can sit on the patio for brunch and bottomless bloody Mary's .!"
