Diner Reviews
  • "I was disappointed with the Easter brunch. The pork and beef brisket were tough. The salmon was moist and delicious. As always, I enjoyed the chicken with bourbon sauce. All of the advertised desserts were not available. My party was limited to cupcakes and blond brownies. "

  • "The atmosphere and food were amazing! We took our time and tried everything on the buffet. Very impressed. I felt comfortable with all the other guests and believe the server made our time as enjoyable as possible. Overall an impeccable experience."

  • "I went with my partner for his birthday for the first time. Server greeted us and mentioned the fact one of us had a birthday as I placed on reservation. Nice. Food was very good although difficult to sort through what can be shared versus a single meal (other than price). Good wine selection and great desserts. We will come back, but likely with more friends. Trends towards groups. Parking close by. "

  • "This was our 2nd trip to the Shed. The first was after a stopping off here for a few drinks, while we awaited our table at Gunshow. The drinks were splendid and prompted us to return for a full dinner. On this visit the food was very good. We especially liked the grits. The cocktails were also top notch. My one complaint is with the way the hostess decided to seat the guest. We ate early around 6:00 and the restaurant was almost empty. We were seated off by ourselves. A couple with two small children came in, after us. They were seated right next to us. There were lots of empty tables away from everyone. The kids were well behaved. It just made for a awkward situation and kind of killed the romantic atmosphere."

  • "The food is unusual without being too weird. Small portions at low prices make it easy to try a little of a lot of interesting things. Terrific Bloody Marys!"

  • "My first visit to The Shed for dinner was incredible. We tried the steak, scallops and several of the vegetables. This visit, for brunch was okay. The omelets were overcooked, pimento & green tomatoes bland, Our group of five enjoyed each others company and the atmosphere. Mary"

  • "Consistently in Atlanta's Top 50 Restaurants, the Shed at Glenwood has been notable and crowded since opening. The handful of times I've been the food has been consistently solid but well short of memorable. For as busy and what appeared short staffed, the service was accommodating. The drinks were well rounded and not to strong or weak. The kitchen staff has always been able to cook brunch (eggs, bacon, etc.) proteins (medium rare) near perfect to order. Plating really needs work as depending on the dish, affects how you taste and experience the food. Has looked just plain sloppy the last 2 times. The reasonable prices are a star attraction. My restaurateur friend commented that you would pay as much for brunch at a meat and three."

  • "This restaurant is slightly beyond my budget but I come here anyways. Everything is so delicious and I enjoy the homey feeling of the restaurant. This is absolutely my favorite restaurant in Atlanta."

  • "Soup was much too thick. Fried chicken was delicious but the skin was burnt, although the meat was quite juicy. Spicy barbeque sauce was excellent. Dumplings in the chicken and dumplings were not dumplings--not quite sure what they were."

  • "This is one of out favorite brunch spots, I'm always happy when the weather is good and we can sit on the patio for brunch and bottomless bloody Mary's .!"

  • "We went for brunch and I had the benedict with a fried green tomato. It was awesome! Mostly, I enjoyed the atmosphere. Definitely recommend!"

  • "Everything about this place is amazing! The seasonal menu, farm fresh to table vibe, and stellar wine list is not to be missed!"

  • "Three of the four people at our table ordered the salmon main dish. It normally comes with sausage, which we asked if it could be removed. No problem. The main dishes came with 3/4 of the plate empty. The salmon was delicious, albeit half the size of a normal serving and priced at $22. It was accompanied by a garnish of tiny cubed squash (under the salmon). We were told that nothing was missing from the dish. We have enjoyed several other meals here. All of which were delicious and with reasonable portions, so this was an unfortunate surprise. We will still go back."

  • "I have eaten at the Shed on numerous occasions and selected it for a Sunday brunch meeting with my boss. It was his first dining experience at the Shed and in the Glenwood area. Our server was great and the food was delicious. I think he'll be back...i know I will be."

  • "Staff at The Shed always make sure our dining experience is wonderful. I love the ambience, food and service provided. I've eaten there many times...brunch and supper...table for two and groups of 6-8."

  • "I've lived in Atlanta four years and don't know why it took me so long to try the Shed. The food, service, and atmosphere are all thoroughly enjoyable. A great low-key place for a lazy Sunday afternoon."

  • "I was visiting Atlanta and was surprise when a friend arrived to take me out for an early birthday celebration. I had no idea for a place to eat and so I followed the reviews to the SHED. It was such a great find! The food was fantastic and out of the ordinary...I had the Hot Smoked Salmon and my friend had the Duck Confit. They were both superb! We finished the meal with the strawberry, lemon & thyme cello. What a great finish! I highly recommend this place to anyone tired of the same old food offerings!! I look forward to going back again the next time I am in Atlanta!"

  • "This was our first visit and we found the experience very satisfying. The noise level is a little above our preference but the atmosphere is very cosy. The menu has a number of small plates, many of them vegetables and a combination of them made a quite delicious meal. Cauiflower in cream sauce, carrots with pesto sauce and more traditional brussel sprouts with bacon were all excellent as well as a small plate of scallops and another of pork. They have $20 wine specials on Friday and Saturday and the red we had from Portugal was very pleasant. We will definitely go back."

  • "An amazing restaurant, my girlfriend and I went here for Valentine's Day. We were surprised by the tantalizing steak we had and rocked by the wine. The lighting made the ambiance just right. I loved it. You will love it too."

  • "Ended up at The Shed after our original reservation at another local hot spot fell thru due to overpriced parking thanks to the Fox. Enjoyed our meal and the special $20 bottle deal for Saturday night. They brussel sprouts and Kale side dishes were fantastice Would go again."

  • "I know Valentine's Day isn't the best for dining out but I made the reservation at 6:30 hoping that would be better. The food was simply awful. The shrimp on the first course tasted like airline food and it really didn't get better. Requiring a set menu for the holiday, one would think they could make those few dishes well. No love for this restaurant ."

  • "Love The SHED. We went for their Valentine's Day dinner menu and it was amazing. One of the best meals either of us has had in a long time."

  • "My date loved the place and would like to visit again, real soon!!!!"

  • "Excellent ambiance and service for a St. Valentine's Day dinner, but the special menu was incredibly overpriced. $45 is way too much, even for a meal like this: the sashimi, tiny pieces of NY strip, and creme brulee were delicious, but it was a glorified snack, at best. I paid $115 for a dinner for 2, and the food wasn't even enough to justify a glass of wine. Bring the price down! Once the Atlanta Beltline is extended through Glenwood Park, what incentive will there be to come in a pay a few hundred dollars for finger food? Lower prices will lead to more volume without sacrificing the quality of the crowd, but the current menu is way too pricey to make this a neighborhood favorite for us (doctor/lawyer couple living in East Atlanta)."

  • "I had the salmon and the grits. Both were delicious and unique. Not too heavy, My friend had the lamb sliders and the Brussels sprouts. She loved it all as well. The service was great. We went on a busy saturday night. I had a glass of wine recommended by the server and perfect for my taste and meal (based on the questions he asked me about my preference). They brought out a tomato soup for each of us that was too delicious. I thought it was a bit loud, but I am a bit sensitive to that. Cannot wait to go back!!!"

  • "Good eats. I was feeling rich, so I went with the steak. My girlfriend went with a calamari pasta dish and a chicken salad slider. Serving sizes were medium to small. The food delicious. The price was worth it. They serve complimentary popcorn."

  • "The beer tartar was really good, but unfortunately the pork chop was cooked to death as my date laughed at me trying to cut it. I found the portions to be very small for the entrees. Great cocktails, great service."

  • "Food, really good.....some great, some very good. Service (following snow storm) was OK. Looked like only two servers for the entire restaurant. Not sure I'd make a special trip to go back."

  • "The Shed at Glenwood proved to be a delicious and exciting treat. Every aspect in the execution of the delicious and novel plates is carried out with class and quality. The wait staff are always upbeat and friendly, and the bar staff (especially Sean) are knowledgeable and superb and the drinks are fantastic. We have eaten at The Shed several times...for special events, date night, family meals, and even Snow Jam 2014...and have never been anything less than energized by the special combination of food, ambiance, service, and crowd."

  • "This is a great place and I always feel so welcome. The food is really good and consistent. I always feel so comfortable there and relaxed and it's due to the sincere kindness of the staff and the owners Cindy and Todd. I don't get to go to their wine store around the corner as much as I want though, worth the trip there too."

  • "The development at I-20 & Glenwood Ave. is amazing. Very convenient and has a warm feeling with the brick townhouses. With the two outstanding restaurants, the Shed and Gunshow, you can't go wrong. The Shed has an amazing take on Southern food with lots of fresh local veggies served as small plates. Great wine list and specials on certain nights. Had a great evening with family!"

  • "The Shed is reliable. They had just spruced up their menu and we enjoyed it, but I have never once been blown away by any aspect of the Shed experience. Why go back? it's very convenient for many of our friends, and it is reliable and friendly, it just lacks a stand out category. There are places I prefer, not because of the food necessarily, but because the staff is more sincere (I always feel like I am getting snowed at Shed) or because the atmosphere is friendlier; yet they seem to be trying at Shed and I am sure I will return."

  • "After seeing a brief description of The Shed in a recent Garden and Gun magazine article, we decided to give it a try. The cornbread was delicious and the complimentary popcorn with cocktails was the perfect beginning. We had the pork chop and the Angus burger and both were excellent. The side order of collard greens was pretty amazing. There are good things happening in this kitchen. Our waiter was attentive without hovering and most helpful in choosing our entrees. We will be back and bring friends with us."

  • "The decor was rustic simple, basically a sign that they were "all about the food". The drinks were superb - we ordered a sidecar and an old-fashioned. Initially I thought the menu was a tad limiting. However, my party convinced me to do the tasting menu. It was reasonably priced compared to a lot of the Atlanta restaurants at only $40 for four courses w/ dessert; wine pairings for an additional $20 at a decent pour! Since the restaurant wasn't very crowded, the executive chef described every single course to us beforehand just like we were judges on Top Chef! The last course described by the onsite pastry chef- a homemade dingdong was so decadent, but still quite light."
