On our first visit, wait staff ignored us for almost ten minutes. We flagged down the host who set things right immediately by taking our wine order. For the rest of the evening, the assistant manager couldn't do enough for us. Food was excellent: the pork chop superb, the lamb burger good, and the vanilla bean creme brulee sublime.. Wine bottle $20 specials were very good. All in all a good evening. Kudos to management for recovering nicely.

After reading eater 38 I was excited to have a great dining experience with my date. It was good but I wouldn't come back. The bartender needs to go to bartending school or spend a couple of nights at Holeman & Finch watching how cocktails are made. It set a poor tone for the evening. We felt rushed by the wait staff however they were very friendly and willing to please. It wasn't our imagination, she said we had to get our order in because the kitchen is closing. We had 8:30 reservations and it was 8:45! I'd expect a restaurant in the suburbs to say that. Even waffle house never says that to a customer :). We had the strip steak and the Brussels sprouts. The. Steak was excellent, but the 1 A house sauce was overly salted.

Went on a Wed night thinking they still did fried chicken, but they did not have it. So thought we would try the $3 sliders which were the special for the night. Unfortunately, the sliders were also a huge disappointment. All The only one that was decent was the chicken biscuit. The bacon burger had a sweet relish which might be OK for people, but I specifically asked if it was sweet and the waiter said no, so was not so happy when I tried it. The veggie and goat cheese slider was overwhelmed by balsamic. It was so sour it tasted like it had fermented in vinegar. They had other items that were overwhelmed by balsamic like the egg in the collard green "pho". Would not go back. Too heavy handed with the balsamic on everything.

Sharing small plates allows you to try more things on the menu. The menu changes daily which is fun. Sunday tasting menu is 25$ for three courses, which is a really good deal. They give you popcorn as a pre-app; just know that you will ask your waiter for many more bowls.

I've eaten at the Shed probably 1/2 a dozen times or more, and always enjoy the relaxed atmosphere - to the point where my friends tease me a bit about it. I love sitting outside on the covered patio in the evening and sharing a meat and cheese sampler with a bottle of Pinot Grigio . . . good conversation, good times . . . inside can be a bit loud. The food and service are always superb.

We love trying new places for dining. We call them adventures. This was one of the great ones! The server was outstanding. She was friendly and knowledgeable, although she hadn't tried the squid ink tortellini. There were three of us and each dish was delectable. Cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The cheese plate beforehand met every expectation. The honey comb was scrumptious! Give this restaurant a try...you won't be disappointed.

My wife and I decided to go here for our Saturday night date. We decided to try it after reading good reviews online. The ambience was good and theplace was not noisy. Easy to carry on the conversation without having to scream. I found the food to be good, not great . The portions were perfect and the wine bottle for 20 was a steal. The service was ok.

This was our first time at the the Shed. I had the Sunday Supper (arugula salad, stroganoff, and red velvet cupcake) - which was quite good. Often times, these sort of price fix menus fall flat, but the Shed delivered. We tried a few of the small plates for starters. The pimento cheese app was a hit. I would pass on the smoked beef belly springroll next time. The desserts were a bit ho hum, but passable. My only complaint was that despite the restaurant being pretty empty, the inside was incredible warm and stuffy. We had to move to a table outside to cool off. Considering this is Atlanta, and it's summer, that is saying something. The patio, however, is quite nice, and we actually preferred it.

I have come to The Shed many times for brunch and always found it enjoyable but I decided to try out their friend chicken Wednesday and I must say the food was great! It was seasoned well and still quite most. I would have enjoyed it to be a bit crispier and have the option to do all white or dark (the chef prepares 33 plates/Wednesday and each is a breast and a leg) but overall I was really pleased. I would definitely come again.

I normally don't leave reviews, but this was quite possibly the worst meal I've had in Atlanta. The grits with goat cheese were mediocre at best, which is the only good thing I have to say about any if the items I ordered. Save your money and go to Holeman & Finch.

We came on a whim for drinks and decided to try their three course Sunday Supper. Each course, from the appetizer with honey comb to the salmon with a molasses sauce, was cloyingly sweet and the dessert was a frozen solid ice cream sandwich. Great idea for a fixed cost menu on Sunday to drive business but the food was mediocre at best.

The first two times we dined at the SHED, we were enamored with the good service and reasonably priced well prepared food; however, this last time may be the last time. The menu has not changed and the selection of large plates is too limited. We would like to come back when there is some more selection.

If all you know about the SHED is that it was seen in the movie "The Blind Side" you're missing out. The warm, low-key decor lends palpable ambience to the room. Service from both staff and waitstaff was unpretentious yet professional from beginning to end. The menu will suit everyone from inveterate vegans to chronic carnivores. I don't think there's much point in reviewing the menu because my impression is it changes seasonally, but the veggies and salads were flawless; fresh, seasonal, and delicious. At least some of the meats are sourced locally (e.g.,Springer Mountain Farms chicken). If you are an oenophile take advantage of a good-sized "by-the-glass" list & VERY REASONABLE bottle markups. Ask about $20 bottles 2 nites/week!
