We were delighted that nothing had changed since then apart from the menu and we experienced the same outstanding level of service and food that we had on our first visit. We had originally booked the restaurant for the following evening. However, a few days before the start of our holiday we were informed that our reservation had been cancelled No explanation was given. It turned out the whole restaurant had been reserved for that evening. Therefore, it would have been nice to have been told this when our original reservation was cancelled with perhaps a note indicating that they could fit us in either the previous or following evening.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMSurprisingly goodA group of 8, 4 adults and 4 kids, went here for Mother's Day for brunch. I expected adequate food in a nice atmosphere. But the food was really very good -- much better than it needed to be. It's good to see that they are not just raking in the tourists. The service was lovely, and very accommodating. They made changes to suit the children, and when we asked to be moved inside, they did so rapidly and kindly. You do pay for the experience, though: coffee and iced tea were each $6 and our bill, without any alcohol, came to over $150 and Mom is about 90 pounds and doesn't eat very much. That said, though, the food was delicious, artfully prepared, and service was great as well. The waiters are always very attentive without being a bother. Sushi, crab cakes, cod, steaks, lobster mac and cheese - all good. Dessert was lime pie everyone loved, except thought the garnish on the plate way too tart. The chocolate cake was "OK", ice cream delicious. Love the venue. In winter can watch the skaters, but this time we caught the transition to the summer tables. Our waiter was very good natured (we had some joking around going on) and very attentive to our needs. I MOST appreciated the fact that the management sat us promptly. I "thought" I had changed our reservation time online by an hour, but they had not received the change.
