We're pretty lucky in this little corner of the world. Sandwiched between the fishing fleets of Stonington and Point Judith, we are fortunate to have access to some of the best and freshest seafood in the world. Oysters from Charlestown. Tautog and striped bass from Point Judith. Sourcing only the finest local ingredients.

  • "The baked stuffed lobster was absolutely yummy. The stuffing on top was buttery and so tasty and the lobster meat was not overcooked or dried out. The other entree chosen was the seafood stew, which is always very good. We had a nice bottle of albarino with our meals. We really appreciate that there are new wines (and wine specials) to try by the bottle or by the glass at reasonable prices. The Sea Goose never disappoints!"

  • "Food was average, prices were too high for the quality/amount. Gulf shrimp cocktail was a bit overcooked. Scallops were a little underdone. That being said, I was not there for any raw bar, so I cannot comment on that and it may be great. Our server was wonderful and it's a really cool looking place."

  • "We had a great meal on Sat night. All food was delicious and it was nice and close by. It was very convenient to be able to make a reservation online. The only downside was that I added a note on my reservation about wanting a table rather than a booth and that was forgotten when we arrived. We waited a couple of minutes for the table to be cleared, but a couple of minutes? Hardly a problem. Everyone on staff was very friendly although by the third person to come by and ask how our meal was...I was starting to wonder if they knew something I didn't! The Seagoose will be our "go to" restaraunt when we get to the beach just like the Cooked Goose is for breakfast."

  • "Driving to westerly from coventry we knew the seafood was going to be good from a prior trip. Flounder is fantastic as where the array of oysters. What was unexpected was a "prime dry aged" nearly 4+ in thick steak special at 28$ This was one of the best steaks I have had anywhere in RI including the 40+ dollar steak meccas. Over all both times we have had fantastic service and from apps to dessert no one in our party left even a speck of food on their plates. Recommend with no reservations to anyone who enjoys quality food at reasonable prices."

  • "My recent visit to the Sea Goose was disappointing. The meal was fair, desserts were good, but the loud noise of the bar interrupted our dining experience. Our waitress was excellent, very personable, but we are not likely to return."

  • "We had amazing service with Melissa. The Country Pate is some of the best I've had! The clams casino special was to die for. I had the lobster roll and I was a little disappointed. It wash/t very hot, the sherry butter sauce wasn't very good and for a "giant" lobster roll is was mostly bread. My husband had the clams bolognese and it was DIVINE. My son had the Flounder also excellent. We will return but I won't order the lobster roll. The kitchen should take note not to deliver the meals too quickly, ours showed up before we were 1/2 way through the pate. We'll give it another try for sure."

  • "Just dined at the Sea Goose this past Saturday evening. It was our third dining experience there and, as before, we were not disappointed. The staff was friendly, smiling, and accommodating for special drink requests and food substitutions. The meals (Chicken Diablo, Shrimp and Andouille Jambalaya, Seafood Stew, Halibut special, oysters, steamers, and calamari, cheesecake, and Crème Brule ) were well-prepared, portioned appropriately, tasty, and nicely presented. Drinks (Guinness, Prosecco, Negroni, Chardonnay) were icy and refreshing. Don't hesitate to try the Himalayan Red Rice...it is nutty, chewy, and delicious."

  • "Hosted four lady friends for a "Girls Weekend". Brought them to the Goose for Saturday night dinner. Food was delish. Atmosphere was warm and comfortable. Always a pleasurable experience."

  • "We had a great meal. Waitress was very good and pleasant. I had the stuffed lobster which was delicious. The tail was split making it easier to get the meat out. My husband had the special surf and turf of Veal & Scallops. He cannot eat lobster or shrimp so this was a great combo for him. The veal chop was done to perfection! It did get a bit loud but there are other local restaurants that are louder."

  • "I took my wife and daughter out for Valentine's day to the Sea Goose Grill and Raw bar. We had a great time, we scored a great booth that had far more than enough room for the three of us. Pretty sure we got the booth because everyone else was a couple. Our server was engaging, and kept my daughter going throughout our meal. We started off with a dozen oysters, all very fresh. We then had the Point Judith Fried Calamari which was a very solid choice. It was actually too much, as I was nearly full by the time my dinner came. I had the flounder which had a bit too much lemon for me. My wife had the lobster roll which she said was great and my daughter had chicken fingers. All in all a good visit and we look forward to an adult visit."

  • "It took 20 mins to get served at the bar but our drinks were very good. Once we got seated, our server was very nice and we had some delicious ninigrets. Our apps were very good too. Everything was great until our entrees came out. I ordered the Filet and Crab Cake...the crab cake was bigger than my "fillet" which was really a 1/2" thick piece of sirloin. My meal was $28...it was worth $20. My fiancé got the salmon which was supposed to be medium rare but it was completed white. It came with "butternut squash risotto" which was plain risotto with cubes of squash. And the portion size of the entrees left us leaving saying "where are we going to get something else to eat?" In the end I would only recommend it for drinks, apps and oysters."

  • "It was a very quiet Monday night when we tried Sea Goose for the first time (and we will be back). Both my husband and I had fish dishes which were well prepared and nicely plated. We shared a very tasty roasted beet salad. We found the wine list quite broad with some nice upscaled wines offered even by the glass. The restaurant has a very 'open' feeling but the way it is set up, there is privacy particularly when sitting in a booth. The Bar looks like it could be a real 'hot spot' gathering place. Waite staff is young, friendly and attentive. We will certainly be back."

  • "My husband and I have been to this restaurant many times over the years when it had been 3 or 4 different restaurants. This restaurant is a breath of fresh air -- they have cleaned it up, opened up the inside and have changed the décor to a more fresh clean look. The food is fabulous, wait staff superb and the ambiance is fantastic. So pleased that this property has finally been elevated to the status it deserves."

  • "Everyone in our party of three enjoyed their meals, drinks, appetizers, and desserts. Two people had a bone-in sirloin special and both absolutely loved it. I had the fried scallops and they were sweet and plentiful. They are not prepared with a breading. It looks like they were dusted in flour, then fried, so they were different, but very good. Our server was nice enough to offer mashed potatoes as a substitute for the fries that would have come with my scallops, and they were great. We always find a nice bottle of wine at the Sea Goose and went with their nightly wine special this time and we loved it. Recommended restaurant!"

The crowd ranged from those in warm up suits to sport coats yet no one seemed out of place. The wine list offers something for every taste and is extremely affordable. The specialties, like the bundled appetizers are a daring approach but that's what a cutting edge restaurateur does...can't wait to return!"

  • "We enjoyed another fine evening at The Sea Goose this weekend. We were seated within 5 - 10 minutes of our reservation time. We love the menu changes and the new wine list choices are fun! I had flounder and it was fresh and delicious and nicely prepared. My husband had one of the new menu choices, the Shrimp Etouffee, and he'll definitely get it again. The clam chowder was, as always, wonderful and served nice and hot. Our server was informed and efficient. She referred us to another person when we had questions on the new wine offerings and that person was helpful as well. Recommended restaurant!"

  • "First we tried their breakfast/lunch restaurant a few miles away. Then we decided we wanted seafood and found it.at their new venture. The menu had just about any seafood you would want. The lobster nacho's displayed the chef's talent; the food was tasty, elegantly plated and a very original take on nacho's. We would definitely return."

The waiter was pleasant, attentive, and competent (though a bit formal for this setting) - even apologized for breaking into our conversations to ask if "everything is alright" (a nice change from the usual "youse guys" service). While not a special foody event, dinner here can probably be relied upon for a pleasant evening out."

  • "Opening in a remodeled former dark barbeque spot, Sea Goose sports an open, vibrant feel as the owners of a successful local deli add to the growing quality restaurant scene in Westerly. Advised that it was good, but overpriced, we were pleasantly surprised to find entrees starting well under $20 with good variety on the menu. I opted for the bucatini with local clams that had plenty of clam flavor and a just right spiciness. I was also able to taste the lobster risotto, rich and full of lobster meat. Sea Goose has instantly found a place on our list of local favorites."

  • "Our only qualification in looking for a restaurant was that it have a raw bar. What a find this was! The wait staff is really terrific and the food was terrific. I recommend the fish stew and pasta with clam sauce. They are not the best I've had but they are really up there. The important thing is to leave room for the key lime pie. Outstanding! I also recommend the NOLA Bloody Marys. They definitely have those down."

  • "Have visited Westerly annually for about 15 years. This is a massive upgrade over the old WB Cody's. The space is bright and the renovation was really well done. The food isn't even comparable. Had the flounder and it was cooked to perfection. Desserts were great too. Went after season so can't comment on how the service is when really busy but our service was very pleasant and is clearly a team effort. Will be back."
