A word from The Roycroft Inn
Dine amongst Arts and Crafts history at the beautifully restored Roycroft Inn, a national historic landmark. The Roycroft Inn features an artisan inspired menu highlighting regional and seasonal foods. Our Chef uses many locally produced ingredients in the preparation of this contemporary menu with daily special creations. The Sunday brunch was voted the best in the area by Buffalo Spree magazine and Zagat Survey has named the Roycroft Inn “best bang for your buck.” There is fireside dining during the winter months and outdoor dining on the peristyle in the summer. Ambiance is casual elegance. Located within 30 minutes of the Buffalo/Niagara Airport and steps away from local ski resorts.

The wait staff, Sue, was wonderful - always anticipating our needs before we asked - but left us alone to enjoy the brunch. The food was beyond delicious and the time on the porch was just perfect. What a wonderful time we had! The price was a bargain for such well prepared and presented food. Had a great time and cannot wait to return - even though Texas is a far piece to drive."

  • "Hostess was most welcoming. Sitting on the veranda was so relaxing and "romantic". Took us back a couple of centuries. Loved watching the birds bathing in the natural stone birdbath. Would like to bring a book and sit the afternoon away. Food was okay, but not outstanding. Corned beef on Reuben was more like a "cold cut type of meat" Bread was great. French fries limp. Waiter must have had too many tables to handle since he seemed preoccupied and missed in handling requests. Service was slow, but who really cared since we were enjoying being out on the veranda. Would not have wanted speedy service. Sliver dessert menu great idea."

  • "Friendly accommodating staff, beautiful decor and architecture, waitress extremely personal and attentive. My wife ordered the filet of beef tenderloin: was very satisfied and happy with her meal. I ordered the Copper Salmon Special a seasonal once-a-year fish. I got excited since I enjoy Salmon and have a scoring system. I rated the Salmon a 5 out of 10 though. Presentation: excellent (both dishes), Taste: only fair with a tacky chew. Possibly overcooked. Low Score: because it did not melt in my mouth or have an exquisite taste. It was bland so I had to add some lemon to help it. I would not order the Salmon again but we will go back and try other dishes. For me, I expect a $78 (meal + tip) to be at least a 9-10 rating."

Our entire group had wonderful lunches and we appreciated that the dessert menu had options of "slivers" so that you could satisfy the sweet tooth and not add too much to the end of a filling lunch. the surroundings were so lovely indoors and outdoors that it was difficult to choose where to sit. The Roycroft Inn also has an outstanding hotel furnished true to Hubbard's Roycroft theme of simple and elegant all in one."

  • "It was my husband 65th birthday. I had lived in East Aurora in the 80's so choose The Roycroft Inn to celebrate while passing through western New York. The only problem we had initially was there was no hostess to seat us. After finally locating one, everything was perfect from then on, wonderful seating on the porch, delicious food, and excellent service, a summer day with wonderful memories of returning to East Aurora at the Roycroft Inn."

Seated immediately outside on the portico with a nice view of the garden. Busy night with two large events going on resulted in a 45 minute wait from the time we were seated to be served our entrees. Good thing we ordered drinks and appetizers. Service was attentive. Overall a pleasant evening al fresco."

  • "Our family returned for the Sunday brunch on June 1, 2014 and I cannot recall a better one. The meats carved that day were flank steak (outstanding, I had a lot!) & lamb (didn't try it because I've considered lamb fatty and theirs appeared that way, too). I don't have enough room to list all the items, but the ones I especially liked were the broiled haddock in a light creamy sauce, the eggs benedict, Caesar salad and the smoked salmon. The fare was not especially heavy, which was nice because I think we all felt full, but not too full. Excellent coffee, as always. There were plenty of desserts, the omelet station, relishes, but I stuck with the specialties. Noise level was fine, many people were on the porch & the traffic there is quiet. "

Given that it was a holiday and a Monday, few restaurants were open but we were glad that the Roycroft was among them. We enjoyed the ambience, service and food. Although we both have food sensitivities, the staff was aware (from our reservation) and took care to avoid problems. We were glad to have our occasion at this place."

  • "Consensus is that the food fell far short of the mark! My traveling companions loved the French Onion Soup; the remainder of our orders were mussels as an appetizer, the sauce was flavorless. Two of us had steak salads. For the price, the steak was barely recognizable; without that defining feature, the rest, well, was just salad. The cassatta cake was a heavy cake, not a chiffon as described. While the young man that waited on us was polite, he was not a waiter for that caliber restaurant. The restaurant was virtually empty and he would disappear for long periods of time. When we mentioned our coffee was served cold, he was missing while we ate our dessert, he topped it off with coffee from a "hotter" container. Still cold! Not worth it!"
