  • "We had our 1st year anniversary dessert here and they treated us so well! The server was so kind and really seemed excited for us. They printed off a "Happy Anniversary" card for us and even brought us out a little special extra dessert for free. Love the atmosphere. Made the evening so very special!"

  • "Rack of lamb was the best I ever had, tender and flavorful. Creamy polenta with Gouda cheese was outstanding."

  • "I've been looking forward to dining at this restaurant so naturally it was my first choice for my birthday. They were able to reserve one of the nicer table in the center of the room, which I asked for in my special request and it made me so happy to see a birthday card waiting at my table. I ordered the California Rib Eye and my bf ordered the Australian Waygu New York Strip, both excellent and cooked perfectly. We shared the beef carpaccio (AMAZING!), crab cake and creme brulee, all of which I enjoyed a lot. On top of that, they gave me an extra dessert for my birthday. The place is a quiet for a friday night but if you're looking for a restaurant to be romantic/small gathering with excellent service and food, this is the place to go!"

  • "The service is good here. The food overall is also good. My husband had the Kobe beef which was delicious. I had salmon which I asked to be cooked well and it was mushy. The restaurant is pretty and done well. There are a lot of beef choices so not much to choose from if you are a vegetarian. We will go back."

  • "The food has improved since our last visit. We were pleasantly surprised during dineLA. The skate wing paired perfectly with the suggested wine. Great service. Sommelier was enthusiastic and very helpful."
    Dined on 7/23/2014
  • "We love coming here for the ribeye and the Old Fashioned. The wine list is fantastic. The manager always makes it a point to stop by and say hello. We had a wonderful conversation with the sommelier. We love coming here when we need to celebrate!"

  • "This is our 2nd year in celebrating our anniversary, and it will probably be a yearly thing. We love your hotel! The food at Royce Steakhouse is delicious and service is excellent~"

  • "I came here on a Tuesday night for Dine LA and at $45 a person for three-courses it was good but I'm unsure if The Royce Steakhouse has true steakhouse chops. The skirt steak on offer was well seasoned but very chewy. The rest, a steak tartar and a salad with hearts of palm and fried brie, were good but uninspired. In all, too generic but perhaps would be better at full price. Service is 5-star worthy!"

  • "We were next to a party of 18 people. They were very loud that my husband and I could not hear each other's conversation. The restaurant attire is elegant but the party of 18 did not fit the restaurant's dress code, 2 of them were in shorts and some were in sneakers."

  • "Chef Perry Pollaci is a genius. One of the most memorable and delicious meals I've had. Service was excellent and wine list terrific. Every bite from the special seafood appetizer, to Chef's version of shabu shabu, to the steak, to the beignets was incredible."

  • "I usually avoid hotel restaurants but this got such good reviews, it was worth a try. The food was great, service was spot on. The regular wine list is varied enough to make a good choice but the criticism there is the woefully inadequate 'by the glass' wine selection. The Greg Norman Wagyu strip, swordfish and side of mushrooms were amazing. The potatoes au gratin were pretty soupy but had great flavor. Warm kale salad was perfect, caesar was salty but nicely presented and well dressed. It is elegant, yet casual and quiet enough for conversation. For a splurge night, this is worth it."

  • "We pride ourselves on having been to some of the best restaurants in LA and around the world. We ended up at The Royce because no one else was open on the 4th of July and we could't have been more thrilled with our experience. Nothing about our experience was less than excellent. From the moment we walked through the door until the moment we left everything was perfection. From the service to the food, and the setting we were greatly impressed. We're looking forward to coming back!"

  • "This was our first time dining at The Royce. The food was all very good. Steak tartare, Caesar salad with white anchovies, Brandt ribeye, swordfish, broccolini, dessert sampler plus complimentary anniversary dessert. We had plenty to eat and take home. The only reason I didn't give the food 5 stars was because nothing really surprised me on the menu. It's all pretty standard steakhouse fare. The ambiance is great. It was nice to be in a light, bright steakhouse for a change. The wine room is gorgeous. I'd love to check out their Sunday brunch."

  • "While we had dined here several times in the past, this was the first time in its incarnation as a steak house. It could have not been more fantastic. The restaurant is as gorgeous as it has always been. A stunning wine cellar as you enter, cleanly decorated and overlooking the beautiful hotel gardens. But this setting paled in comparison to our steaks. Incredibly marbled, melt in your mouth goodness. The wagyu skirt steak was probably the best steak we have had in years. The sauces were delicious but almost unnecessary. The salads are large enough to share...amazingly fresh and quality ingredients. Side dishes were more than excellent. This was all topped off with very professional service. We will be back."

  • "Great food--The Porterhouse for two was one of the best steaks my wife and I have ever had. The table was great and the place was tastefully updated. It had a wonderful feel to the place. They even had a card for us to help start a special dinner for our 17th anniversary. Top notch all the way around"

  • "My friend and I had dinner reservations to celebrate my birthday. The wait service was excellent. We did not try any wine but the wine list had us wanting to come back just to try something different. We each had a different ribeye steak and shared. The food was outstanding. Everything was outstanding. We look forward to coming back soon."

  • "It was my son's 21st birthday and his choice for a special dinner with parents and his girlfriend. They paid so much attention to him - brought special courses courtesy of the chef, brought him wine pairings with his courses (on the house), and just took such good care of us. That is not unusual at this restaurant but they went above and beyond on this night for my son. AND the food was terrific - again, as usual."

  • "Love this restaurant. Best food made by chef and best service. Our server Andrea's recomendations are always delicious. She knows her jod, no doubt. I'll cpme back to Royce again and again. "

  • "It was overall a wonderful experience with great food and service. The noise was way too loud since there were about two group of 15-20 that were very loud. I think they should have been put within their own room. Way too loud for the setting"

  • "The tasting menu at the Chef's Table was easily the best meal I have had in in a year. Course after course of delicious, beautiful plates. It didn't feel hip or trendy, just perfectly cooked food. I will be back with friends."

  • "Pros: beautiful setting and hotel. The bar waitress was stressed and distracted and took forever. The Royce is beautiful, the hostess greater us by name, our requested tsble was ready, the waitstaff was very friendly and incredibly attentive w out being annoying, the chef came to say hello. Cons: the food was Ok. The sides were ok, the steaks were good, the desserts were ok. The bill w tip For 4 was $800. About 200 of this was wine. Another $150 tip. The dining experience was lovely, but the food (specifically the sides) need some improvement. And, the tap room waitstaff needs to smile and be attentive. "

  • "We found the music at the Royce to be irritating, unnerving and loud. We requested it to turned down. The staff would oblige for 5-10 minutes and then turn it back up. This happened three times. We did not enjoy our dinner because it was noisy and the music was was not only loud but also irritating."

  • "My husband and I went to The Royce for our anniversary dinner. We arrived to our table to find a note from the restaurant to wish us a Happy Anniversary - what a special surprise - I took our note home as a keepsake! My husband ordered the ribeye and said it was better than the steak at the upscale chain steakhouses we've been to. I had the swordfish and it was so good. The bread pudding dessert was a little sweeter than I would like, but delicious. Service was top-notch, our server was very nice and attentive, and constantly wished us a happy anniversary. The whole experience was memorable, and reflective of what to expect from the Langham. I will be back!"

  • "This time the steak when ordered medium turned well done... Not quite acceptable for a steakhouse. Ambiance is great but considering what they are charging, expect them to get my steak done right. Rib eye steaks need to be thicker. Mine was 1/2 inch thick. "

  • "We took our best friend out for a no-holds barred dinner. The service was friendly, timely, impeccable. The starters were so fresh The steaks are abundant, and of different price ranges. The Caesar salads were unbelievable. Crisp , very clean lovely anchovies, and the dressing expertly applied. I also loved the wilted spinach, the mushroom fricassee and the home-made onion rings. We felt so intimate, though we sat in a room of other tables. The only blot on the landscape was that our debit card was charged four times and we got a call from the Bank of America the next day. We phoned the Royce and the manager investigated. He phoned back, apologised and offered a fair restitution "

  • "We've always enjoyed dinner at the Royce. Always superb service and food? We decided to break from tradition and try out their Brunch on Mother's Day, and we're so glad we did! Nicole, our server, was outstanding. She explained where everything was, gave her recommendations, and had a great attitude. She explained how this particular brunch was a little different because it was Mother's Day, but told us all about their regular brunch, and we'll definitely be back to try it. The kitchen staff took a lot of pride in their product. It was the best French Toast and Beef Wellington I've ever had. If you want to avoid the crowds go a bit later (1:00). The bottomless champagne and Bloody Mary's were a special treat, as well!"

  • "My wife and I enjoyed this first trip to the Royce. The Mother's Day Brunch was excellent with all you could drink Mimosas, Bloody Mary's and Champagne. Outstanding items were the fresh oysters, although a some what on the small size, shrimp, skirt steak, roasted potatoes and roasted vegetables. All three steak items were great. Look forward to returning for a regular dinner."

  • "The weather was perfect, and so was the brunch at the Royce. My brother was visiting from N. Cal, and we wanted to doing something on Sunday. This was perfect! We had a lovely brunch and lovely service. We sat along the wall of windows, and looked out over the Horseshoe Garden. The smoothie shooters and fresh sweet bread were a treat. The appetizers and entrees followed suit. The ever flowing mimosas didn't hurt either! If you want a lovely day, in beautifully restored hotel, this is the place."

  • "Everything about this place was fantastic... For most of us, the prices are a bit steep, but for good reason. My husband had the Japanese Wagyu. He had this at Cut, a while back, but I think that this steak exceeded even that one, which was the reason for our visit. The service is probably the best we've experienced. They don't linger & make you feel uncomfortable, but they are very attentive & pleasant. We had Charles, Nicole & Ernesto helping us. The bartender, Vicente, was a great mixologist, made me an amazing Airmail Cocktail (I let him chose what to make). Unfortunately, this was his last week, he's moving to the East Coast. The chef sent us over an extra complimentary side dish & the manager sent over some champagne. We will be back!"
